WOW! Describes my emotion in a few different ways at the moment-- one reflecting this shameful and long overdue review by me. The other- plain and simply, high caliber of professionalism, authenticity, and warmth that I've had the pleasure to experience after hiring KLK to work their magic for my engagement and wedding photos at The Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel, this past July. Firstly, my fiancé is not a fan of taking any kind of photos (downright hates the mere thought of it), but Paul changed that all for him during our short engagement and wedding photoshoot so that deserves an extra thank you, as I thought that was not possible. My wife and I absolutely LOVE pictures! As I mentioned at the start of this review, photography is a passion that my wife and I both share. Another shared passion of ours that complements this passion is travel. When my husband and I saw our wedding photos we literally were speechless! I mean jaw on the floor kind of speechless. Photography is something of an art and by no means is it trivial. There are many would be amateurs playing within the professional arena only to disappoint. I have seen many photographers in former career and let me assure you what I am sharing now is not an opinion but, fact. So as you can see my criteria for my wedding photography was by no means short. I wanted someone who would understand lighting, contrast, composition, white balance, color, field of depth to a simple montage, and most importantly this artisan must first and foremost be cool to work with. I still remember the look on my wife's face when I first told her of my requirements and she simply rolled her eyes and said you're crazy, I don't understand half the stuff you just said. Sadly, working in an R&D center during that part of my career had left my unfortunately trained eyes to some rather juxtaposed demands from our would be wedding photographer(s). Needless to say, when I first met the Kristy and Paul (the dynamic duo) from KLK photography, it was something magical. Our first meeting with KLK was both informative and relax. About fifteen minutes into the interview process I knew we had found our wedding photographer. IIt was what I would say one of the more easier decisions I've had to make in my life. Reviewing their portfolio and getting the right answers was almost immediate and you just knew leaving these two professionals with one of your most important life memories became a trivial matter. Our engagement shoot went off with a bit of hitch but we recovered immediately when we found out our original location was no longer available for our photo shoot as a back drop. Instantly, Kristi and her husband Paul came up with a plan in making the engagement something special. I remember looking at the compositions of the photos later and thinking to myself, it was a good thing that the original plan didn't work out. Our pictures came out unique and very stylized in its own organic artistry. The professionalism continued on our big day. I remember having fun taking the pictures and nothing felt rushed. They took the time to make things easy and was very accommodating as new requests were made throughout the day. The pictures speaks for themselves. The wait was definitely worth it and all I can say is wow. My wife and I are still debating on which ones are our favorites. Hi! I found KLK on yelp haha I took photos with them on a weekday because it was cheaper. She took photos with her husband for our engagement photos. I kind of wish I had chosen another makeup artist for that day.. but other than that, she was terrific. She chose a great area for us to take pictures and it wasn't awkward. she took a really short time (a month) editing the pictures. that is really short compared to some other photographers out there. yay thanks klk! read more

Where do I even start when it comes to writing a review for KLK Photography? My wedding planner introduced me to Kristi and I knew she was the one the minute I met her. The quality of her work, her professionalism, amazing eye and fabulous personality made it very easy to pick her for our engagement shoot as well as our wedding (and will be planning a trash the dress session soon as well). My fiancée isn't the biggest fan of doing photos, and working with Kristi and her husband Paul made it so comfortable for us. Within minutes we were both relaxed and had the time of our lives at our engagement shoot. The photos turned out amazing, and we were excited to have them do our wedding as well. During the time in between the shoot and my wedding, Kristi and Paul did the photography for the annual gala the non-profit I work for puts on. This was the first time we had professional photography done and it made all the difference in the world for publication afterwards. Then came the big wedding day...they were amazing. Their visions and their eyes saw shots that none of us could have imagined. We got shots in locations at Pelican Hill that no one else has been able to get, and it was amazing. They made all of the staged photos feel comfortable and unstaged. Paul and Kristi are incredible! My husband and I hired them to shoot our engagement pics and wedding. They have such fun personalities that made the day light, and fun which really helped capture the real "us" it didn't feel like a photo shoot, but more like friends taking a pic on a fun day. I just met Kristi last weekend when I did a boudoir photoshoot for my husband. I was really nervous about doing it and had been researching photographers and Kristi was the first one to to actually make me feel comfortable enough to sign up to do it! She let me ask as many questions as I needed to in order to feel comfortable!
