My fiancé hired Mimi to capture a once in a lifetime moment, his proposal. She charged him $673 for…read moretwo hours (and he tipped her $80 on top of that). We recently received our photos and are DEVASTATED. The quality looks like it was taken from an old flip phone by a random bystander. The photos are blurry, grainy, and taken from poor angles where you can't even see our faces.(Photos attached) Also during our proposal, she completely destroyed our special moment. She was very inconsiderate and didn't give me a minute to take in what happened (it was a surprise) and went right into posing us literally the second after my fiancé popped the question. I was crying and she told me to pose and smile... I can't even imagine how she'd be during a wedding. We reached out to her after receiving our photos to share our dissatisfaction and she blamed us for the timing of our proposal (5:15pm) and not having good lighting. Ok first of all, my fiancé gave her the time frame she would be shooting and she agreed to that. Secondly, the lighting would not fix her lack of skill and the poor angle/distance she took the photos. Thirdly, her response shows how completely clueless and insensitive she was on the sentiment of a proposal. If you want high quality photos and someone to capture special moments, do NOT make the same mistake and hire Mimi as your photographer. You're better off having a friend take pictures on their iPhone. You have been warned!

With her knowledge of the area, she was able to add in a few helpful tips on how to make the day even more magical, from proposal tips to info about the location I planned on. But let's talk about what you really want to hear about: the photos. After the butterflies and excitement of a proposal, my fiancée and I were so nervous that we didn't know how to take photos afterwards. Mary got us distracted -- encouraging me to talk about how I asked for her parents blessing -- and shot some amazing photos. As a testament to Mary's skills, or perhaps my fiancée's beauty, we retouched exactly zero photos. Could not speak more highly of this talented, thoughtful, incredible team at Studio Nine…read more Zach Blum was our main photographer and one of the highlights of our wedding. He found creative, beautiful ways to capture us as individuals and as a couple: from recognizing the fleeting moments of a beautiful sunrise and pivoting us outside to get a breathtaking golden sky backdrop in getting-ready photos, to sneaking a unique, fun shot of the bride in Indian bridal attire holding her Starbucks in the morning, to incredible shots of us during our first dance - literally out of a magazine! He was present for every meaningful moment of the wedding, and always created a warm, fun, welcoming atmosphere during a hectic day. Additionally, the team worked tirelessly to ensure that we were happy with the portfolio after the wedding. We had concerns about our décor colors, and they found a way to ease the harshness of the background in post-processing so that we were not outfaced in the final photos. Additionally, we had unique requests on cropping and the final album product, and Zach and Jon both worked with us for months to make sure they got it right! Jon, the production manager, is very approachable and takes time to listen to each client's individual requests - even nitty gritty requests amidst a very hectic wedding season! We are delighted with the team that captured our wedding weekend, and highly recommend.
