People are correct about Foodland having the fresh and best poke on the Island. The line is long, just be patient and your turn will come. It's not cheap, but 1 bowl is good for 2 people. Absolute fresh and best poke for me. The seasoning is on point, not too busy with toppings so you really will enjoy the fish. Highly recommend! They also have hot food section, spam musubi, chicken karage, bentos, etc. We picked up ube mochi, hawaiian sun juice drinks. Then we headed out to Kam beach to watch the beautiful Sunset. We'll do this again on our next trip here.

Came just for the poke and was not disappointed. Not a place to sit and eat, obviously... it's a grocery store. But poke was the best I've ever had and worth going out of the way for.

    Everything we ordered from Oki's.

This review is for Oki's Seafood Corner (the poke shop inside Foodland in Kahului). This is the second time we have visited Oki's - during our first visit to Maui and again, this time. Their poke are always fresh and they offer a variety of options with regards to flavors and seafood type. Cant go wrong on this one, everything we ordered were beyond satisfying, they have perfected the mixture of sauces.

The poke at Foodland was delicious and super fresh. The staff was friendly and offered helpful suggestions, which made choosing easier. You can really taste the authenticity and quality of the fish it's simple, flavorful, and satisfying. Since it's inside a grocery store, the setting isn't fancy, but that actually adds to the charm. It feels local, genuine, and exactly the kind of place you want to grab great poke from. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in the area.

In all my research leading up to my trip to Maui, almost everyone mentioned Foodland as the place to get the best poke. I would never have thought a chain of supermarkets would sell some of the best poke. This particular location is located closest to the airport and it was one of our first stops before even making it to the hotel. Parking was easy and plentiful around the time we arrived. Coming from the Houston area, I am used to massive grocery stores, but this place was the complete opposite. It was tiny but had everything you need including alot of local goods. The most impressive thing to me and one of the main reasons I came was the seafood and poke selection. That part comes from Oki's Seafood Corner located inside the store. I'll review that separately. If poke isn't your thing, they also have quite the selection of hot items in their deli like different chicken, shrimp tempura, ribs, kalbi and the other reason I came.....spam musubi. We got our poke, musubi, and chicken karaage and went to the nearest beach to enjoy our finds. Everything we ate was delicious and was a great first meal in the Aloha state. I so would've hit this place up daily if my food list wasn't already long for Maui. I will be back!

10/10 fresh fish ! Came here for poke. This place was heavily so many options to choose from and the best part is you can get different options since it's sold by weight. They also have a box options which contains two proteins and two scoops of rice. The nice lady who helped us was very patient and explained the process! I can't stop thinking about this place hope to one day return!!!

This is my review of the fish department. It is not owned by the supermarket itself so you pay them direct. They are the best source for local fish, the kind you see snorkeling around the island. Originally the place reeked if fish but they did some renovations so it is much nicer. Prices are great. If you want it cleaned let them know, they can also fillet it if you don't eat whole fish with rhe eye staring at you. Always fun to shop there and always tastes great.

Always the first stop when in Hawaii. Delicious. The salmon was a bit too salty, would be better with rice.

Everything you could want to eat and snack on galore. Wish I could take the whole store with me, and had multiple stomachs like cows, but for the sole purpose of being able to eat more lol, not for digestion-- but I guess that too. Plenty of Hawaii/ Maui specific snacks out here and poke galore-- tried kimchi mussel poke (my new favorite).

This location really caters to the locals. Quality/Quantity - Plenty of hot food choices, even pre packaged catering trays!! Locals love to have a party! Ohana! Also, this location has the independent Oki's Seafood Corner, seafood department; see all my pictures. Nice to have even more local poke flavors. Weekly specials, see picture. Atmosphere - Plenty of parking. Hot deli, bakery, sushi (limited due to the GREAT poke bar), local craft ice cold beer, "made local" section, etc. Service - Good. Price - Good. Good local market in Lahaina, hit up the poke for sure. If staying in hotels it's a good place for snacks and staples with normal prices.

Local gem! This small market has an incredible poke selection. As I'm making my way through my Maui…read morepoke tour, this was one of the spots recommended to me, and wow, it was good. The ahi had that soft, buttery texture you want, and the seasoning was on point. Service was quick and super polite. There wasn't much of a line when we went, and we got everything pretty quickly. What we got: Garlic Crispy Ahi - 9/10 Big fan of the texture and flavor. The ahi was super fresh and buttery with a nice garlic flavor. It needed just a little extra soy sauce for me, but other than that, so good! Limu Poke - 7/10 My sister actually preferred this one out of the two. Solid flavor and another great option. We got a half pound of each, and it came out to around $30 total. Definitely on the more expensive side for poke, but the quality made it worth it. Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for fresh poke in Maui!

We went to Tamura's after arriving from the airport. I didn't go in and pick it up, my brother did…read moresince I was waiting to pick up our Costco pizza, so this rating is just for the poke and not the service. Overall, this poke was fire. My wife (super picky when it comes to poke) and I loved it. We eat a lot of poke, and this ranks near the top of our list. The fish was super fresh with excellent texture and really hit the spot. We ordered 0.25 pounds of the Fresh Ahi Ninja and 0.75 pounds of the Fresh Ahi Tamura's Sauce. The Ninja had a slight kick in a good way and leaned more toward a shoyu flavor. The Tamura's was lighter but still had really good flavor. Our family loved both of them, and we killed both. We ate it with a bag of Hawaiian Chip Company Sweet Potato and Taro Chips from the nearby Costco, which was the perfect combo. Would highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!!
