Still sealed. What is all that white and yellow stuff

Spent 8.99 on this lunch meat only to see that it expires on Dec 2,2025. Bought on 11/29/25. The meats has some white crap on it. This is nasty.

a grocery store with a variety of food items

I do like shopping at Food 4 less they have reasonable prices on some things...not ground beef today but I'm sure no fault of theirs! Our Country is truly in a crisis and we are paying high prices for everything! Ok I got off on a tangent lol. Back to the review! Like I was saying I do like the store I just don't like that they have the lines (4 lines) opened for 15 or less items and only 1 line for those of us that have more than 15 items. So I guess 3 is not a crowd at food for less... All in I I will probably visit again. But I hope this time they have more checkers for those of us that go grocery shopping for more than 15 items.

I moved to West Covina from Downtown Los Angeles and I was lucky to have this grocery store near my home! It only takes me 7 mins to get to it by car! The place is very unorganized... I was unable to find any small bags for produce... alot of the items seem to have expired or went bad by heat... the flan was definitely bad. When I was cashing out the person at the register asked me how many bags I needed. I was confused because I have never been asked before the items are placed in bags.. they seemed upset when I explain I did not know. Definitely had an attitude. They had blue hair. At the end I felt pressed and said 12 bags.. better to be over than under.. they then said " are you sure " with such an attitude. I don't know if I will go back.. I think driving a bit further is best for me. I hope management steps up!

To check stands open for 20 people in line ridiculous bunch of people just Milling around that could be helping customers

So after today I'm definitely reversing my opinion of them for my last review they instituted these new rules about letting like 10 people into the market to shop at a time that way it's not all mass chaos and pandemonium whoever I decided this is a very good manager

    Front Store Lead Eduardo
    London R.

My girlfriend and I tried to make an exchange from a purchase literally the day before, but the "front store lead" (not a manager) refused our request. He first dismissed my girlfriend quickly when I wasn't around, but I then I tried to make the exchange. He didn't even come out of the back yet for a couple of minutes. I asked him to make the exchange keep in mind I had more stuff in my hand to purchase) that there's nothing about a "same day" exchange only online or even printed on the receipt. When I asked for his manager's contact information or a customer service number to contact, he refused my request, then laugh and ignored me before going over to where a cashier was. I've never felt more disrespected and wanted to punch him in the face. Luckily I left before my PTSD took over. So thank you Kroger(the parent company for Food 4 Less) for disrespecting two military veterans! I'll be sure to let as many people/veteran organizations in the area know how badly I was disrespected by the man pictured. I used to love coming here for quick groceries, but I'm done. With a Target next door, a Smart & Final across the street, and a Walmart down the street. I will not be back shopping at this Food 4 Less location until this store employee(pictured) is dealt with and an apology given. Judging my the reviews here it seems there is a huge problem with the attitudes of the store employees here. I hope a regional/general manager takes care of this issue.

Expired food( I bought it on May 14)
    Thomas L.

I used to love this market, but you dare to sell expired food?! I bought this yogurt on May 14th. This is the second time I bought expired food. What are you staffs doing??? Then I called Kroger, but Kroger did nothing except asked me if I have loyal account. Stupid. Don't buy on sale groceries because they will be expired soon

This Supermarket was not crowded at this time of day. Took my time, calm atmosphere and good customer service.

Needs a greater selection of produce. Only one main checkout was open with all three express lanes open. Should cater more to customers.

I am a huge Walmart fan, and this is my favorite store of them all…read more This store is HUGE, ALWAYS fully stocked and clean, employees are helpful and friendly, and of course, prices are very affordable. If you can't find it here, you probably don't need it. The fruit and vegetable section always has a great, massive selection. There is nothing bad I can say about this store.

Joann is such a rude employee!! Never have I met a person working in customer service with such a…read morehorrible attitude as hers. I have no idea how this woman is allowed to work in the front!!!!! We were here at about 3pm checking out and while she was helping a customer in front of us, he asked her for a bag and she replied "Well ten cents" so he started looking for change in his wallet. He took out a quarter and with a voice filled with attitude told the man who very clearly had trouble speaking English "How many do you want? I said ten cents" and he replied "Yes one bag" and so she proceeded to put his quarter back on the shelf and take a dime away from him. I get it, maybe it's easier to just get the dime instead of giving him change for a quarter but maybe he just didn't understand. No need to be rude! THEN - when we had room to put our stuff on the conveyor belt, I was waiting for a bar to separate our items and she literally THROWS the bar towards us on top of the conveyor belt instead of using the designated space to slide it down on. My mom and I just stared at each other in disbelief, had that just happened?? Whatever, we proceeded to put our items down and once it came time for her to scan our TV in our cart, she stood there with a scanner in hand and didn't say a word but expected us to somehow magically know we have to push our shopping cart around to her. Has this woman ever heard of speaking to customers to let them know what we need to do? Usually when we have big items in our carts the employee comes around and scans it but I guess that's too much work for her. Then, I was handing her my ID card for her to verify my age since I was purchasing alcohol and she completely ignored it so I put it away since she had already scanned the alcohol anyways. Someone tell me why this lady then pauses the whole transaction to stand there just staring at me. I'm confused now and don't say a word either since that's the attitude I'm receiving she can get it right back!! With an obvious anger in her tone, she says "ID???" so I give it to her AGAIN. What a horrible way to treat your customers. Why work in customer service if you can't provide a simple smile and a nice attitude?

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Tokyo Central yet, though I've stopped by here…read moredozens of times - my go to is their sushi tray options! They have the BEST tasting salmon sushi/sashimi all around, at this price point, even better salmon quality compared to nearby sushi restaurants in my opinion. (Our Japanese native friend also agrees.) Best part is - 20% off after 7 pm!!!! But the trays get snatched up quickly. Too bad I'm not around the area at that time, otherwise I'd make Tokyo Central my weekly run for dinner. Their Kimchi Tako Poke is another regular we get, it's so good. However, recently, the only option I saw was the Shoyu Tako Poke - and I didn't like this version one bit - too hard and the flavor is not to my liking. Will never get it again. The hot food area has quite a decent selection, priced and weight by the pound, self-served. Often around 3-4pm, you may see 20% discounted packaged hot food placed out, whatever that's leftover from the lunch rush hour. Tried it a few times, but felt most of the food is heavily dosed in MSG, so I'd be selective on what I get. They also have sashimi party trays which require pre-order. Great pricing for the quality and convenience. Overall, love their sushi selection, and it's a regular stop for us. As for the market itself, there's not as much to buy, and pricing is on the higher end. However, they have a larger selection of some products that I can't find elsewhere, and sometimes their advertised specials are decently priced.

It has all the…read moreessential groceries you would find at any other TC location: meats, seafood, produce, snacks, kitchen cookware, etc. But...This location carried a lot more merchandise, like beauty products, tote bags, and other cute things. Also grocery and refrigerated items I hadn't seen before. This location is very clean, lots of fresh bento boxes for your choosing. They have a good frozen section and many pantry items. Prices are pretty much the same as other locations. My only experience that was blah was the cashier. She was an older lady with glasses and she seemed impatient and hurried me to move my items towards her on the belt. There was only one other person behind me, so I didn't understand the rush. But it did come off slightly unfriendly. Otherwise, it was an as expected store. Lots of parking also in their lot.
