Carne Asada Burrito
Rosalinda A.

Great quality meat. Asada burrito was good, but a little too much going on inside. Pastor was the best meat by far, delicious flavor. The tortilla on the cabeza taco overpowered the meat and the carnita was great too!

Rocks

Les pidi tacos de carnitas me dieron tacos de piedras carnitas casi pierdo Los dientes porfavor areglen esto pronto :(

Wet Burrito

Very good wet burritos, has beans rice onions cilantro red or green salsa cheese and sour cream. Good size and has a few chips and lettuce/tomatoes on the side. 8/10 would for sure reorder.

Hands-down, my favorite meat market nothing compares! not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

Marinated chicken .. so delicious
Paula R.

Came here to get some meat for grilling, close to me new place. They have a nice variety of meats marinated and non marinated. What caught my eye was some cuts of wagyu beef and huge tomahawk steaks. I'll have to come back for those at a later time. What I did purchased today was a few pounds of marinated short ribs and several pounds of marinated boneless chicken. When we got home we grilled them on our gas grill. The ribs were so flavorful and the chicken was so juicy and delicious as well. We will come back for short ribs and chicken for sure. We picked up some of the prepared guacamole which was delicious and not spicy. Also got the cutest mini pan dulce, which was delicious. I Recommend you get done on the way out. Overall great food and good service.

Beat tasajo carne and chicken. I highly recommend for your next BBQ.

Do you ship out of state orders?

Hi Renee, unfortunately we do not yet. However it is planned for the near future. We appreciate your interest.

Can we call in order?

Hello, we stop taking phone orders after 730 pm, or 530 Holidays. But you may call during regular hours, from 8 am to the hours mentioned. Thank you!

From the pics, it looks like the flour tortillas are handmade, is that so?

Hello! I apologize for the late reply, it seems I skipped that email alert. Unfortunately we do not do hand made tortillas here. We only have in our menu the XL Handmade Quesadilla, which you order in the kitchen. We do however, make our own…

Just keep in mind that everything is high quality & with high quality means you are spending extra cash money $$$. This lowkey spot is facing the north bound side of las tunas close to a dominoes pizza. In between Ardmore Dr & Santa Anita St. Across from a hospital(San Gabriel Medical Center) Right next to Dumplings To Go[They have good dumplings there too]. Parking should be easy on Las Tunas but if it looks packed then you can easily go to the back between Ardmore dr & Santa Anita behind dominos and walk around to their only entrance in the front. Once inside on your right you will see all the different choices of food from cuts like A5 Japanese Wagyu to lamb skewers. They also have tofu, mushrooms, condiments and other hotpot essentials. They accept both cash and card inside. No restrooms. Just buy what you like and go. All of their quality meats are your average tastiness; food tastes better than your regular grocery stores. During summer you can find their Summer Skewer Special only on Fridays Saturdays & Sundays in the back. After calling multiple butcher shops, this was the only place I found that actually carried them. We ended up getting a whole beef femur bone for only $13, which was an amazing price. Can't wait to give it to our dog, and we'll definitely be back for more. If you're a dog owner like us, that's another reason to check this place out. I believe the girl I spoke with over the phone also mentioned that they offer both raw and smoked beef knuckle bones for dogs. She even cut the bones the way we wanted it Great service, great prices, and definitely worth the drive for us.

The staff here are super friendly and great and helping first time customers. They're all willing to find the answer to your question even if they don't know themselves. Butchers are onsite for custom processing and speciality cuts. Really charming bit of old chino, hoping they stick around for decades to come. If you're reading this, you probably have the same concern I did when I first came here. Let me…read moretell you, this place is for real! They not only carry the basic essentials a market should carry, they have an incredible meat counter. The meat here has a tremendous amount of turnover so you're certain to get the freshest meat any time you visit. If that isn't enough, Baldwin Park's best kept secret is the restaurant in the back of the place. The entrance to the dining room is through a door off the parking lot in the rear of the building. The food is freshly made, and as you can imagine, the meat is super fresh and choice cuts. There's no menu, so you've got to be open to go with the flow. Just ask what they've got today and go for it. I enjoyed tacos de tripa, which is a house specialty. The tacos are served street vendor style and the tortillas are just larger than silver dollars. I ordered 6 to fill me up. I washed it all down with a Mexican Coke, which uses liquid sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. Always a good combo when you're eating Mexican food. Give this place a try if you're in the area. Expect a little wait if you drop by on the weekend. Let them know you heard of this place through Yelp.

With the current inflation I figured a couple of dollars more. So I ordered the Machaca plate for $13. The lady said it came with arroz y frijoles. So I said ok. I when I paid for it, the bag felt light. Even the $10 Machaca burrito from Pepe's felt heftier than this. When I got home I was truly saddened by what I saw. It was scrambled eggs mixed mostly with tomatoes, onions, peppers, and a few pieces of beef. It was flavorless and did not even fill the side of container it was placed in. The rice was pale and bland. The beans were ok. There were 4 pcs. of hot corn tortillas so I made myself tacos with the machaca (?) and beans. The green salsa that came with it was blah. They also had a small container of guacamole but by this time I did not want to waste anymore calories. I also got two bags of chips that it amounted to $19+ tax included. But even then they did not waive the 0.59 cent transaction fee. They have adequate parking on the street as well as in the back. Sadly I have to cross this off my list.
