The Centennial location is in a strip mall where I met a friend for an early dinner. Fontana Sushi was empty at first, but filled up quickly with both dine-in customers and take-out orders. The menu is extensive with lots of specials. I started with a refreshing cucumber sake martini. It paired nicely with my spicy maki combo. The combo was $18.95 and included miso soup, salad, and three hand rolls: spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and spicy yellowtail. Overall, for the price, the sushi wasn't bad. If you skip this restaurant, don't worry because you are not missing out (LOL)! Sometimes a restaurant in a little shopping center can be a hidden gem (and I've been to many of those) but this is nowhere near a gem. Let me tell you why. -The Bad and the ugly- Service is quite horrible. Well, I personally didn't experience this and yet I witnessed where some gentleman who came in to pick up his pickup order was treated poorly when he asked the male worker (upfront) where his food was and since it had not been made upon his arrival, he went on to ask the same guy as to how long before it would be ready. The male worker bluntly told him to walk up to the sushi bar and ask one of the female workers as he had no idea. LOL!! Fortunately, this customer didn't rash out. Thank goodness! Quality of sushi. I got me several nigiris and oh boy, the red snapper tasted OLD! The yellowtail was decent and yet it still didn't taste the quality I would want to taste. The scallop was the most decent. I thought the super white tuna tasted good when I popped it in the mouth and yet, there was a bit of a strange after taste to it which may be an indication that this piece was old, too. -The Good and the pretty- Like I said, I didn't receive a poor service. The same guy who was quite blunt to the male customer was fairly nice to me. He even smiled at me for a moment. He kindly offered me to sit in one of the chairs at the waiting area until I had decided what I would want. He was also accurate when it came to the time before my sushi would be ready. He said 15 minutes but when I went back into to pick up my food, 15 minutes was not quite up and yet my food was already sitting at the to-go pick-up table. Upon thanking him, he smiled again. I only went here because I had a little business I had to take care of a few doors to the west of the same shopping center. The time was a little past 7pm where I needed to take care of my slight appetite so grabbing me several sushi/nigiris wasn't a bad idea. Had it not been the case, I wouldn't have gone here spending 20-25 minutes driving to get me some sushi unless this restaurant was a talk of the town where it was receiving all kinds of raves from people. So my conclusion is, giving 2 stars is the best I can do. Is that fair? I hope so!! P.S. the the restaurant inside is/was fairly clean. It's got a decent ambiance to it. This was our first time at this sushi restaurant and they did not disappoint. Now I must say we do have our favorite spot which is Asa Sushi but this is still worth going if you're in the area. The service was prompt and the ambiance was very casual. Now on to the grub! In the picture you see 3 rolls on the left is the Mexican Roll, the middle is the Godzilla Roll, and the far right is the Spicy Girl roll. Additionally, their salad dressing (carrot/ginger?) is fantastic and I crave it at all times! This visit I ordered a shrimp tempura roll, sweet potato roll, and the Agedashi Tofu. Everything was delicious with lots of flavor and the perfect amount for a satisfying meal at a decent price. The miso soup is always satisfying. The tempura was a little too oily and sat in our stomach for most of the night. This wont be an app we'll order again. The sushi was delectable! Our server was friendly, attentive, and spot-on throughout the meal. Drinks came quickly, we placed our order, and the food was served almost immediately. We were probably there for only 30-40 minutes, and by the end, we were stuffed to the gills! Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and the service was top-notch. The interior hasn't changed since our last visit about a year ago, but it was very clean and well-kept. Have only ordered from Uber Eats, and visited once for take out. I love their spicy tiny and spicy yellowtail rolls. They add crunch to them which I love, and the flavor is great. From Uber eats we usually order the sushi and sashimi for 2. It's a great portion and the fish seems to be always fresh and tasty. I stopped by for lunch on a Thursday at Fontana Sushi with a friend but I had just ate a huge breakfast. I wasn't hungry but I couldn't resist!! I ordered the any two roll lunch combo ($12) and devoured it! I chose the spicy yellowtail (6 pieces) and salmon avocado rolls (6 pieces)! Both were so fresh and I loved how different they tasted! I love the texture of the yellowtail! The lunch came with miso soup and a side salad! A little bit of everything for a reasonable price. This place was our most consistently good sushi place in town! I think the centerpiece of this place is there fried rules. You can't go wrong with any of them. My personal favorite was the tornado roll and my husband would get the Yama roll and the sexy girlfriend roll Each of those roles is equally fresh piping hot with delicious sauces. You really can't go wrong. And I don't really like fried rolls. They also have amazing entrees. My husband really recommends the fried rice and I have to agree! I don't think we've ever had fried rice that is perfectly oily because each of the grains are independent of each other but have so much flavor! The service is very speedy. You're not going to get necessarily friendly service but it will be fast and you will get what you want. So make sure you tip those ladies! There's plenty of seating. There to go orders are well packed as we've tried many times. If you dine in you can watch them. Make the sushi. You just have to get a table close to the bar. Each time we go we get about three rolls and 6 to 10 pieces of Nigiri. It's about 70 to 100. Quite a bit of food. I would skip it there. Fatty tuna. The link to the website from yelp takes you directly there, and then you have the option to pick locations. From the locations you can order directly from the menu. Their online ordering is so easy and flawless it's perfect. We ordered Snow White roll Green roll and Tornado roll and pork dumplings. Everything was incredibly fresh, delicious and tasteful. Delivery was fast and no contact. They gave just the right amount of soy wasabi ginger and chopsticks. All the next day I craved sushi again, so that night we ordered delivery again. This time we had California roll, Alaska roll, King roll And Red Devil roll. It was a Friday night so delivery was a little longer, but the food was just as delicious as the night before.
