This time the gentleman behind the counter, Matt and Matt, introduced us to hot honey and giardiniera, both made in-house. Giardiniera is an Italian relish or condiment made from a medley of crisp vegetables--typically cauliflower, carrots, celery, and peppers--pickled in vinegar or oil. Those were delicious toppings to enjoy on pizza or a salad accompaniment. Whenever we return to Winnetka, we will be sure to stop here again!
