Be Careful Before Buying - I strongly recommend reading the negative reviews before purchasing anything from Folk for Folks. Please also check Etsy first because this store charges nearly five times the price for the same items sold elsewhere. I purchased a gold-colored chain and pendant for $145.60, which supposedly came with a lifetime warranty. The chain broke within a single day of purchase, as shown in the pictures included. Since I do not live in California, Sofia asked me to mail the item back so she could issue a refund. I immediately returned the product, and both the USPS tracking and my text messages with Sofia confirm that the return was received promptly. Sofia initially confirmed that she received the damaged product and promised to refund my money. However, she later changed her mind and refused to issue any refund. A friend who visited the store confirmed that the same item I returned is now being displayed for sale again, which means she kept my payment and is reselling the same item for additional profit. After this experience, I searched online and found the exact same chain and pendant on Etsy for about $35, as shown in the picture included. This means the store charged over $110 more for jewelry that broke within hours. To make matters worse, they do not provide a receipt or proof of purchase, which makes it difficult to verify the transaction. This was a very disappointing experience with poor quality, inflated prices, and dishonest business practices. I strongly advise others to avoid this store. read more

The owner has known me since I was a teenager to now a married man with six children! He blesses me every time I've gone through these fifteen years. They have a wide selection of items from piercings and ear gauges, which I've come for thru these years. My wife loves the necklaces and earrings as well as the bracelets for the kids. Scam. My husband asked for a silver ring at the cart outside. He was directed into this store for a better selection and was sold a "silver ring" for almost $80+tax. When he told me this I thought it was kind of a high price but wherever. I checked my credit card account the next day and noticed a charge for around $100. I soon figured out it's the place where my husband said he got the ring. I then asked him is it even silver because my suspicions were up by that point and lo and behold, the marking on the ring says it's stainless steel. He had made it clear that he wanted a silver ring, plus they charged him $100! Of course he should've checked before buying but his eyes are getting bad and can't really read small writing anymore without reading glasses, which he didn't have with him at the time of purchase. Hopefully he can get a refund but I have a bad feeling. I'm surprised at all these good reviews. read more

This store is a big scam. I buy a lot of jewelry, mostly online, and have gotten very familiar with what is real and fake silver/gold. I purchased about 4 items from this store knowing none of them were real silver (or even stainless steel) expecting the price to be around $20-30 since i could tell the pieces were going to tarnish easily. I ended up being charged about $60. One of the bracelets even broke in the store while i was being checked out, the lady fixed it but i was not offered a discount or anything. A week later another bracelet broke too. Even looking at some of the pictures left by reviewers, I can tell their pieces are not good quality. Please don't come here if you are not familiar with good quality jewelry because they are obviously just scammers. Maybe they do offer SOME real silver and gold pieces, if so it is not a wide selection. Customer service was okay, kind of seemed inauthentic and insincere. They are truly banking on their customers not knowing what they are purchasing. read more
