1st time visiting this sister winery! Everything was exceptional from Tony's pours to the beautiful views from the picnic area.

My husband and I were in Napa last weekend celebrating 10 years together and made the spontaneous decision to check out Foley Johnson Winery. Thanks to a stellar recommendation from their neighbors at Sequoia Grove after our tasting there, we headed Foley Johnson's way. Walking up to the winery was so lovely, especially with the fall foliage all around. They grow a lot (if not most) of their grapes on property, which I thought was pretty cool. Every wine we tried was very good! The reds were my fav! The service here is one to mention. They took us as a walk in and still treated us with the same care as someone who made reservations months ago. Our host, Tyson, was super cool to talk to, especially with his extensive knowledge of wine and the Napa Valley region. The customer service he provided to us and other guests around us was superb. He did a great job at balancing all of us without making people feel shorted of time or info on the wines.

Great visit to Foley Winery with friends as we sat in their patio and tasted some great wines. The winery is quaint and all the wines are primarily made from the grapes grown and harvested on the property. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and guided us through each of the tastings. It's a great visit!

Great wine tasting experience with a wonderful setting in Napa. The staff were excellent at providing a personal tasting with excellent service.

I have had Foley Johnson wines before and although I don't particularly like nor dislike them, I thought it would be really cool to get a tasting at this place. I don't know how to feel about it. It wasn't the greatest tasting we had in Napa. We were the only people in because of some fires that were happening in Sonoma. They called ahead of time to make sure we were showing up. We had the tasting in our own private room and we had some Cheese to pair with the wine. The cheeses were amazing, the wines not so much, and the person conducting our tasting keep walking away, as if we were not the only people in there. Didn't even bother to stay with us the majority of the time. We bought a bottle of their Petit Verdot which was very good, but it turned out that it was leaking, so we had to come back the next day to exchange it. They did not give us a problem at least. Do I recommend it? probably not. There was nothing remarkable about this winery as far as the building itself or the grounds. Its just a place to visit off a busy road.

My girlfriend Lisa made reservations at this Luxury Cabernet Tasting and I didn't realize I was in for quite a treat :) From start to finish, Lisa and I were pampered with exquisite customer service! We were warmly greeted by Aaron in the reception area, where he poured us a glass of rose to start. He escorted us to our table and from there, the fun began. We'd like to thank Joe A. for a wonderful and educational experience. With each of the pours, we learned about the the region, the grape, the process, and differentiating flavors. Of special note, Joe explained the characteristics as the cabernet flowed across the tongue ;) In addition to the rose, the exquisite Cabernets, and descriptions, Joe also provided a tasting of an estate bottle which was not listed. Before Lisa and I left, Joe said that someone called in a favor. Special shout out to VP Alan C. for the bonus gift before leaving! I love love love the fitted jacket :) Thank you so much for this memorable experience. This sure makes leaving Cali difficult. Not even sure if my next destination has wineries but I will certainly return here for a visit! Thanks for the memories Lisa B., Aaron, Joe A., Alan C., and everyone at Foley!

Great experience wine tasting and getting a tour from Isaiah. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided great service to our party of 4. He was certainly the highlight of the wine tasting. Know you are in good hands if you happen to be helped by him!

As part of a sweepstakes I won in 2018 put on by the Las Vegas Golden Knights and Foley Johnson Winery, my wife and I were treated to airfare, transportation and lodging and 5 tastings in 3 days at Foley Johnson Winery. and his other properties. We were chauffeured to this winery after having private tastings and tours at the other properties. We sat down with Peter who gave us samples and introduced us to the wine making process. Specifically Foley Johnson as every winery has different processes for growing grapes. His knowledge was amazing! Very good tasting wine comes from these grapes! Definitely stop in for a tasting and Peter will drop a little knowledge on ya!

My second visit to Foley Johnson. To be upfront I am a Foley member at the tasting room in Santa Barbara and love the generous benefits of being a Foley member. Last visit I tasted from the FJ menu. This time from Kuleto. Both amazing wineries and very different. Both visits I walked away with bottles of Cab. This time it was a 2013 that had been lost in storage for a few years. It was reasonable. As Skyler who was serving us said. Just consider it $10 a year for aging it and the wine in the bottle is free. Made sense to me. I never have the patience to cellar a bottle for more than six months. Beautiful property well located just around Oakville.

Friendly folks. Good wine, at least to my unskilled taste buds. Mr Sawyer comes in for a glass every evening.

Wines are understated, nuanced and overpriced. Nice facility. Bring a picnic and the dog.

Each cart is called by number and you get in a line before boarding. Before boarding they also take your picture which you can purchase at the end of the tour. Food options were delicious and they have extra options to add on such as appetizers and extra drinks. It was a 3 course meal with dessert. You are seated throughout the tour and have small breaks to get up and walk around. Truly a wonderful experience but be prepared to sit for long hours. Staff were beyond great and made the experience even better!

The rail follows alongside the highway so views were not necessarily 'outstanding' because I was on the train. I do not need to ride this train to see these views. I did not have to drive, that brings the rating up, but there are MANY ways to not drive in Napa. It was a little rickety, but acceptable. The food, 2/5 stars, substandard for the cost. Portions were small (half a piece of bacon, 1 small egg for a Benedict, etc.) and taste was middle of the road. The service/staff 4/5. Most everyone was very hospitable and did their job well. However, it did feel as if we were 'just another group'. Everything is very script and not especially personalized. For example, I'm on a wine train and no one asked my wine preference. Which brings me to the wine we tasted on the train 1/5. I expected a higher quality of tastings. In addition, offer a choice of flight, white or red or a mix of both. Or, hear me out...offer wine pairings for each course (included with my ticket, not for extra cost). Stopping at the sign and enjoying the tasting in the open car was a wonderful choice, wine selection is greatly lacking and to be honest, a great disappointment. Overall, I enjoyed my time, but this was not necessarily due to being on the Napa train specifically, it was because I was on vacation in Napa. I could see the business cutting costs in almost every aspect and that is unfair because I am paying a premium cost of approx. $100/h. And for some of that time, I'm at the winery and not even on the train. Which brings me to the end of my rating, for the stops 2.9/5. The stops felt rushed, especially our first stop. They are about an hour each, but this includes disembark and reembark times. I wanted a little more time at each winery to make a purchase or walk the grounds. I will not be recommending this particular experience, I believe many improvements can be made. Lastly, I booked this experience due to several social media content creators experience. These creators are getting their experiences paid for. Be sure to read ratings from those of us not being sponsored.

In addition to taking us to the places we requested, she managed to squeeze in several off-the-beaten-path gems that really made the day memorable. (Small Vines was our favorite--definitely worth a stop.) Also, she took us to a sandwich shop that we really liked, I wish I could remember the name. (I blame the tastings..) Regardless, Sharon is definitely a guide that cares about her passengers and makes sure that everyone leaves Sonoma with terrific memories.

PF Wine Tours tailored our day trip to accommodate our time constraints, budget, and tastes in wine. Not only were we able to find a winery to suit everyone's taste, but some of the most beautiful wineries were selected, since having beautiful views was important to us.
