If you want an affordable, upscale experience, with a personal touch, I highly recommend this company. On this trip, we visited Pride Mountain Vineyard Caves (gorgeous views and an organized lunch), Robert Biale Vineyards, and Trefethen Family Vineyards (gorgeous)! We enjoyed them all! We selected the option where PF Wine Tours provided the car and chauffeur for the day. However, there is a less expensive option where they can drive your car or rental car. We want to return to Napa and visit more wineries and will return and use PF Wine Tours. Unfortunately my husband booked PF wine tours for my 40th birthday. I was super excited and although I didn't receive our intinerary until the day before, I just assumed the owner, Anjanette, was very busy. The itinerary looked great and we were all looking forward to a fun day. Anjanette was supposed to pick my small group up in SF and bring us through Sonoma and Napa for a fun day. That is not what happened. She managed to not only ruin one, but the two days that we had in the area. She was supposed to pick us up at 10am. She calls at ten (WHEN SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE THERE) claiming that her SUV was stolen. She says she'll be there an hour late. Ok, no problem we think, no big deal. What's an hour? She calls at 11:00 saying she's still in Napa trying to get a car. I call her back at 11:30 to see what the status is and tell her that we'll just Uber to our hotel in Napa. She claims to have secured a car and tells us to meet her in Sonoma. I think if we can get ourselves to the area, we can save some time and can still salvage half the day. We agree to meet her in Sonoma and head out. I check in after about 45 minutes and she informs me that she doesn't actually have a car and cannot pick us up at the agreed upon spot. Since we have all of our luggage, we have to reroute the Uber, incurring more expense. I cancelled with (since she had no car) and rescheduled with her for the following day. She tells me that she will definitely still be able to take us the following day. I text her a few different times explicitly asking her to please just tell me if she can't do it, as we will make other plans. She promises that she will be there. She shows up the next morning almost an hour late. She claims that her rented car was in an accident and that she just got her original SUV back. The SUV is filthy, dogfood and junk everywhere. A man is driving that she never introduced us to and never spoke, just stared straight ahead the entire time I was speaking to Anjanette. We definitely didn't feel safe getting into the car. Because you have to have appointments prebooked to taste at wineries, we were only able to taste at two places that day that took pity on us. DO NOT BOOK with this woman. Don't risk ruining your vacation. The craziest part about this is the reviews. I find it hard to believe I'm the only one this happened to. read more

Let me state up front, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are unreliable and deceitful. I am flabbergasted by the miserable experience I had with them, but also by the presence of so many positive reviews on this site (which I am now convinced must be faked). I'll explain. I booked a wine tour with Anjanette a couple of months in advance for my wife's 40th birthday with some of her friends. PF Wine Tours, and Anjanette specifically, came very highly rated, both from sites such as this one as well as word of mouth from other wine tour companies in the area (I called around a lot before finding what I thought was the right option). I should've seen the signs much earlier, but I kept reassuring myself with the reviews on this site and the great word of mouth I'd heard. Starting from the very beginning of the process, though, what I now realize should've been obvious is that Anjanette is a flake and you cannot rely on her. She'd send emails swearing up and down to get back to me with details, but they'd never come. She'd say things like, "if I don't send it to you within an hour then it means I'm dead" (that's a direct quote), then days would go by without any communication, until finally I'd have to nudge her again. Despite all of that, we ended up with what I thought sounded like a great plan. Anjanette shared details that were basically a copy-and-paste that I assume she uses for every client, but they sounded good and her casual tone made me think the group was in for a fun time. On the day of our tour, here are some things that happened: - Anjanette did not show up when she was supposed to - She wanted until AFTER the scheduled pickup time (in San Francisco) to bother telling us she hadn't even left Napa yet - She claimed her car had been stolen the night before - She promised to have a rental car that she'd use to provide the same experience we'd booked - She had our party take an Uber to meet her in Sonoma (~$130) while she picked up the rental car - She waited until AFTER the time she was supposed to pick them up in Sonoma to inform them she hadn't gotten the rental car Finally, our group gave up on that day and did their own thing. Anjanette swore to reschedule everything for the following day. She promised it'd go off without a hitch. I called and spoke to her that morning, while she was supposedly on the way to pick them up, and she assured me everything was set. Then what happened: - She again did not show up when she was supposed to - When she finally did show up, it was in a car that was completely trashed: the exterior was filthy, and there was spilled dog food and other garbage all over the interior - There was some random dude behind the wheel (no other participants had ever been mentioned) - She was behaving erratically and mixing up her stories (this was supposedly the car that had been stolen, but now it was miraculously back) - She was only able to confirm a tasting reservation with a single winery (we were supposed to have visited four), and it was already past the time that the reservation was supposed to be for At that point, our group cut their losses and cancelled entirely. The biggest regret is that we kept giving her chances to make it right, rather than realizing what we'd gotten into much sooner. Since the pandemic began, you can only do wine tastings with a pre-booked reservation. My wife and her friends were able to find two wineries that took pity on them and gave them last-minute bookings, which they had to take Ubers to and from. It was a far cry from the experience I'd intended for them to have. After the trip, I found a charge on my credit card for a winery that they had never visited. It turns out Anjanette had used my card, which I'd provided to secure our booking with her, to pre-pay for a tasting at a winery that she never took them to. (I had NOT authorized her to use it for this or any other purpose.) Thankfully, this winery was a legitimate business and we were able to get that money refunded (though it was a hassle). I don't know if things have changed at some point, or we just caught her at a bad time, or what, but I do know that I cannot imagine this woman being capable of providing anything resembling a pleasurable experience, much less the amazing-sounding ones you read about in the other reviews on TripAdvisor or Yelp. She was a complete disaster, she ruined not one but two days of my wife's birthday trip, and there is absolutely nothing positive I can say about the entire experience of working with her. Had a fantastic experience exploring Napa! Anjanette was the best guide! Her copilots Otto and Kermit were awesome as well! The trip was completely curated by Anjanette. My group of four had never been to Napa, so we really didn't know where to start. Anjanette sent us a survey to gauge our knowledge about wine and what type of experience we were expecting. She is very knowledgeable about Napa and Sonoma. She recommended three wineries that were diverse and since we were traveling during "harvest season" (mid October) she asked if we wanted to do a grape stomp! Of course we did! We went to Stag's Leap, Caymus, Tudal, and Grgich Hills. All great in their own way! My personal favorite was Stag's Leap. I enjoyed the openness of their tasting patio overlooking the vineyards. So beautiful and peaceful! We were staying in San Francisco. Anjanette picked us up from our hotel in the morning and took care of us all day, making sure all our needs were met. We opted for the picnic style lunch. She picked up sandwiches and snacks while we were at Caymus and we enjoyed lunch at the beautiful Tudal Family Winery. I have done a few wine tours with Anja, we have focused in Napa but she also covers Sonoma so will need to go there next. It is my go-to option that needs to be fitted in when I had family visiting in SF and want to get out of the city. Anja takes care of everything, can customize the tour to taste and is able to book wineries off the beaten track that had a lot of character with hundreds of wineries this is very important as can be difficult to book without experience. We have had the owner themselves conduct the tasting in quite a few cases! My wife and I planned a trip to Napa Valley for our wedding anniversary. I contacted PF Wine Tours weeks before my trip. Initially the service was great. The owner, Anjanette Prudlo, was responsive and great at keeping me up to date with the itinerary she planned. The morning of our anniversary I turned my phone on and received a text from the owner that she had not been feeling well, tested for Covid 19, and tested positive. She was canceling our wine tour. She recommended we take Uber to the wineries she had booked our tasting at. It should be noted that I turned my cell phone off at approximately 11 pm the night before. She did not text me she was canceling until sometime after I turned the phone off. In my opinion she should have notified me as soon as she wasn't feeling well or at the very least as soon as she felt the need to be tested for Covid 19. We all know the results do not come back quickly. She should have notified me as soon as she got the results. NOT the morning of my anniversary and tour. Later that morning she text me that she found another driver. Fortunately the wonderful people at Lavender Bed & Breakfast had already found us a driver. PF Wine Tours should have notified us immediately regarding her poor health and Covid 19 test. She should have made other arrangements for us. Anjannete Prudlo was completely unprofessional in how this was handled. Yesterday, a week after our Napa trip, I was contacted by Chandon winery about my tasting today. I called and after they researched it turns out Anjannete booked someone else a tasting using my phone number. Simple mistake maybe but she told me she TESTED POSITIVE for COVID 19 one week ago. Anja answered the phone and that is right where our amazing experience started. She not only was able to work us in on short notice but she put together an itinerary for us that ended up being fabulous. She took us to some great wineries. We had an incredible two day tour with Anja, Yoda and Kermit! We chose the "dog option", which means Yoda, a 3 year old wine doggy mix comes along for the ride with us. Kermit, the white terrier mix joined us on day two because I was hogging Yoda! Anja picked some incredible wineries for us to stop in at with amazing views and fantastic flower gardens. These guys were great. I had no idea which wineries to go to except maybe Robert Mondavi and the one Francis Ford Coppola owns. When I called and made the reservation, Angeanette asked me some very specific questions. I left our itinerary up to her and she got us an awesome day. We did not have to do anything but show up-our itinerary and reservations were made and we did not have to wait anywhere, not even at Cakebread on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend! Plus we were taken to a small, family boutique winery that had a great view and apparently, the only winery in Napa that does not charge tasting fees (they request not to be named publicly) and another with the most amazing tour and amazing views without as high as the usual Napa pricetag. Great experience! My girlfriends and I hadn't seen each other in a very long time and we decided to reunite for a "girls weekend" in Napa. Of course wine was in our plans. I found PF Wine tours through Yelp and called them up. I was so happy to hear they offered a very affordable package where they would drive your car! It worked out perfect; Michael promptly picked us up at our hotel, with a custom made (based on our completed pre-trip wine survey) vineyard itinerary. Our driver Micheal was polite, enthusiastic, knowledge, kind and very hospitable! Where do we start with PF Wine Tours? Let's go with the owner Anjanette. Leading into our trip to San Francisco and Napa, Anjanette did a great job of communicating. She confirmed the tour we purchased and sent additional details clarifying our experience. From these details, she customized our itinerary by sending a group questionnaire. This covered our experience of wine to the cost we're comfortable spending even to our intentions of purchasing wine during the experience. From our answers, she tailored our visit to our needs, affordability and expectations. We ended up attending Stag's Leap, Caymus, Tudal and Grgich Hills. Each location had respective beauty. From Stag's Leap to Grgich Hills, our group left thinking how will the next location live up to what we just experienced. Anjanette made slight adjustment to our itinerary before we arrived. Her reasons were valid and showed why she's an expert. Our group had confidence in spending our first trip to Napa with a consummate professional that carries a strong passion for the industry. She did a wonderful job giving us the history of how Napa came to be an international staple of wine and the characteristics of different wine types. She even made us aware of being in town during harvest. Which allowed us to do a grape stomp at one of the vineyards! It was awesome stomping grapes with Anjanette in the same barrel! She has a wonderful sense of humor and kept our time together fun and light. Most of the entertainment and laughter came from having her pups Otto and Kermit along for the tour. Her furry pals were as excited as us to jump out of the black SUV and get to a wine tasting! On a couple of occasions, our tasting guide asked if we saw the dogs running through the vineyard? We laughed and proudly said they were with us! The tasting guide laughed with us and proceeded to say he wished they could stay when we left! We traveled in a Ford Expedition. The vehicle was clean and had plenty of room for storage. Our group of 4 purchased half a dozen bottles from different wineries/vineyards and had no issues keeping them safe. We each could've purchased a dozen bottles and still had room for further purchasing. On our return trip to San Francisco, Anjanette showed her true professionalism. We were in town during Fleet Week, which is a huge naval and air show in the Bay area. This brings many people to the area. We had to move from the hotel in Union Square to an AirBnB 8 blocks away. She allowed to grab our bags that were held at the hotel and she took us to the AirBnB! We left giving hugs and thanked Anjanette for the memories! The trip gave us a new perspective of Central California. Several friends know about our wonderful experience and want us to plan a return visit so they can enjoy the same PF Wine Tour experience that we did! I was a reluctant wine tour participant. My friends planned it with Anja & Massi, and I went along even though I have been on a couple of previous tours and found them kind of boring. Let's start by a declaration - I am a control freak with opinions. Lots of them. I simply know what I like. I mean seriously, what could Anjanette of PF Wine Tours, who lives in Napa Valley, who makes her living touring wineries, know that I don't know? I mean I've visited Napa 3 times 10 years ago! Obviously I know everything (or so my wife is always telling me). Communication was quick and responsive as she interviewed me for wine tastes and preferences. Of course, I volunteered my own recommendations not accepting the fact that part of her service is planning. Never rude, never rushed, always patient, Anjanette finally implored "you have to trust me". Best advice I've ever been given. My wife and I were picked up promptly and hit our first winery. I was not particularly impressed, and my wife could see it on my face. The second winery was a small, limited production place that was way off the beaten path. I was informed later by the owner/winemaker that was by design. As he personally conducted the tour, it became obvious wineries such as this required a discovery by Anjanette. After almost two hours of drinking and talking wine, I specifically looked for Anjanette. Once found, I told her I loved her. At this point, she could have reminded me that she did ask me to trust her, but her classy attitude forbade such a response. All in all, we stomped grapes, made t-shirts, had a cave tour followed by a wonderful lunch, and sat with another winemaker in his glorious courtyard and discussed horses, or so I think. At that point, the day was weighing large. At the last stop, my wife needed just a little help getting out of the car. Anjanette was there with a helping hand. In fact, that was what made the day so wonderful - Anjanette. Her ability to anticipate our needs was unparalleled. She was there when we needed something, but never underfoot. While waiting at one winery, I bought a coaster. I had no more than paid for it when Anjanette materialized and removed said purchase to the car. She was great. To all you control freaks out there, to all you husbands planning that special Napa trip, to all you wives researching the best Napa tour - STOP NOW. I have done the work for you. I will give the positives first: Anjanette did have knowledge of several wineries and made some recommendations. Our first stop was a reservation she made for us at Mumm. We forgot our 2 for 1 and she found an app that had a lot of discounts for local wineries and saved us $25 off the bat! The rest of the tour was a build as you go tour that led us to George Henry for a great mini-cave tour and tasting along side the coolest black short-hair cat ever! (We have the coolest black long-hair cat. I need to make the distinction in case he reads this review). Next we went to Sterling on the woman's suggestion from George Henry. We got a gondola ride up to a more corporate feeling and established winery, but all the pourers were very friendly and happy to see us. After that, Anjanette took us to one of her personal favorites, Lava Vine winery. There were a couple laid back guys there that were very cool and helpful. This was definitely a perfect contrast to big old Sterling. It was a very limited run winery. Finally, we found one last 2 for 1 tasting place on the way back. At this point, we were drinking wine for wine's sake and the generous pours helped the evening fog roll in - to our heads! We grabbed some Thai on the way back to our room and overall we had a fantastic day of wine tasting in the Napa Valley. On the negative (but not too negative) side, though it was private, our driver has a strong, dominant personality. She is really friendly but makes it pretty obvious that she is trying to make her presence know to the wineries. Obviously, everyone needs to support one another to make the system work, but there are more tactful ways to do that, such as a more "behind the scenes" approach. Examples included joining us for the cave portion of George Henry where she interrupted our guide with a handful of questions and at Lava Vine when she questioned why another tour company was there. She saved it with a compliment about them, but it was just a little awkward. In addition, she did not plan a lunch for herself so she had to go to town while we were at a winery to get herself some lunch. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning to anyone who may be weird about their car leaving their side or if you weren't feeling a good vibe at that particular wine tasting experience, you could be stuck waiting. All in all it was a great experience. Keep track of your time (we went from 5 hours to seven in a blink!), try to have some wineries in mind - though Anjanette has been to many wineries, we found ourselves plotting the course as we went - and do a little research. I had never been to wine country before and had very high expectations. Anjanette made sure that all of these were met and more. She has a bright and comfortable demeanor that made the tour a relaxing and fun experience. Anjanette definitely knows her stuff and was able to provide some great information on the region and its history. Her selection of wineries was superb and we met a host of knowledgeable and kind tasting hosts/hostesses along the way that helped to keep us smiling from start to finish. LOVE PF Wine Tours! The first time that I went to Napa, I picked PF Wine Tours to plan my group's two days of wine tastings and to drive us around based upon their competitive pricing. We had a great time and loved their selections for wineries. It was so nice not to have to book our own appointments and navigate the area on our own. They did such a great job that I used them when I returned to the area. This time we stayed in the Sonoma/Russian River area. We had 9 women in our group and they planned a great 2 days of tasting and drove us all around. Every penny spent on this service- was well worth it! I wrote this review in Trip Advisor and thought I would post this review here since I use both sites: Let me first start off by saying that I try my best to be a constructively critical reviewer. Since I, like so many of you who are reading this review want to make sure that the time and money spent will yield a memorable experience. With that being said, let me break down our time with PF wine tours. The process started off by calling Anjanette (one of the owners and a military veteran as well) who asked an assortment of questions to help understand what we were hoping to do on our trip to Napa in December of 2014. After talking to her and a few other competitors, it was clear that this was a family-run business that was honest in their pricing and was proud to offer a guarantee for their service. She promptly sent us an email that would help her to understand the wineries we wanted to visit as well as others that she recommended. They have personally toured countless wineries in Napa and have a real down-to-earth passion for wine. Anjanette then emailed us an itinerary of our trip with some flexible options during a few of the days. She did a great job listening to our thoughts, making recommendations, putting it all together in an itinerary and then making reservations at the wineries where needed (some were harder to get into than others). We were informed by Anjanette that her husband Massi (the other owner of this family run business) would be driving us all three days. The first day he arrived early to the Hyatt Andaz (where we were staying) and texted us letting us know that he was ready whenever we were. When we met Massi, it was like meeting an old friend that you had not seen in a long time. His Italian charm matched with his knowledge of living in Napa for over 10 years served him well throughout our 3 days with him. I was impressed by both Massi's local knowledge and knowledge of wine. As we drove, he pointed out areas, fun facts, or shared his personal experiences and recommendations. While Anjanette did a great job putting together an itinerary for us it would be a great add to have the stops listed on a piece of paper with a map of where we were going that day. Since this was a private tour that would have been a nice custom touch in order that we might better understand the lay of the land and have something to take back with us to remember our time. Massi took pictures and was always mindful of what we needed for an experience that we would look back on. On the second day with Massi, we had some friends join us who were in town at the same time(for a toal of four people). Massi was early again and the SUV was clean and ready for us to board. One of my few critiques is that it would be nice to have a few complimentary snacks to enjoy between tastings to cleanse the pallet and fill the stomach. We had a wonderful time that day exploring and enjoying cave tours that had been arranged or wineries that were hidden gems off the beaten path. Massi also helped us out by getting us lunch while we were on longer tours and making great recommendations for dinner that night during lunch. The third day was the same as the first two. It was a great time! Massi was also flexible to what we wanted to do and was sensitive to how much time we had with him and was happy to extend time with him if necessary. My point in saying this is that he was focused on the experience, not charging us for 15 extra minutes if we went over our allotted time. Each day of the trip we went to 4-5 wineries and we never once felt rushed. The most difficult part of the third day was leaving. We had a great time and gained a friend in Massi. Little did we know that he would become one of the highlights to our trip to Napa. We used PF wine tours for all three days of our trip and it was one of the best decisions that we could have made. We plan on going back to Napa and are no longer interested in looking for another company. PF wine tours made our first trip to Napa/Sonoma this past November great! We loved that PF wine tours was family owned and not a large corporation. My husband and I didn't even bother researching other tour companies because we knew PF wine tours was the best fit for us. They allowed us to have a private tour that wouldn't break the bank. Researching wineries was daunting but the owners, Anjanette and Massi, made this task simple. By choosing PF wine tours, we felt like we got to see many of the wineries that we thought were hidden gems. This also meant the wineries we visited were personalized for us instead of a group of random people. We picked the designated driver option because we had a rental car and that meant we could spend more money on wine! If you plan to visit multiple wineries during your visit, we highly recommend that you have a driver. Massi was our driver and it felt like he was a good friend during our 2 wine-tasting days (one day in Sonoma and one day in Napa). Massi met us at our hotel each morning around 9:30 AM and then we went on our day. He showed us where the tasting was and then would go wait for us. If we had an appointment, he would tell us what time to meet him and if we were running behind (which is easy to do), he would come get us. It was a pleasure talking to Massi about wine, food, travels, and life. Massi always had water for us and made sure we stopped somewhere to grab lunch. Since we tried to maximize our wine tastings, we ate lunch in the car one day driving from winery to winery and had a picnic another day at a winery. My husband and I will use PF wine tours again and will be recommending them to our friends. If you choose PF wine tours, you will not be disappointed. Great Birthday/Anniversary Trip! We hired PF Wine Tours for two days of our trip to drive our rental car and are so glad we did. They helped plan the itinerary and made reservations for us, and also had tons of great suggestions. They have you fill out a detailed questionnaire in order to tailor your experience just right. It was so nice not having to worry about driving while sampling wines AND having to find our way around. Anjanette's latest report is that Napa is still just as beautiful even after the horrible wild fires so go visit soon! read more

Anjanette from PF Wine Tours was so great! She worked with us to plan the perfect itinerary for a private wine tour. She knew where the best champagne wineries were and also where the cheaper tastings were for those of us on a budget. I've done wine tours before, but PF wine tours is the only way I want to do Sonoma/Napa ever again. Our driver (sorry I don't remember his name) was great; very nice guy and also very friendly. He took pictures for us and kept our wine purchases cool in the car while we were inside doing tastings. He also gave us free wine tasting vouchers for one of the local wineries. My wife and I, along with another couple, just spent 3 incredible days touring Napa and Sonoma with PF Wine Tours. Anja and Massi, the proprietors of PF Wine Tours, were highly recommended to us by close friends who raved about their experience. We are forever grateful for their advice. Weeks before our trip, I coordinated the logistics over the phone with Anja. She was extremely thorough, asking several questions to ensure the trip was perfectly suited to our tastes. As wine amateurs on our first trip to Napa, this was a tremendous help in narrowing down the overwhelming vineyard options. By the time we landed in wine country, they had planned an incredible tour perfectly tailored to our personalities and preferences. Using their connections, several one on one, private tours were scheduled at wineries we never would have experienced otherwise. These tours were, by far, our favorite. Massi was our driver for all 3 days and he is a true renaissance man. Originally from Florence, Massi is extremely knowledgeable about all wine types, the history of the region, and the wine making process. He shared unique stories about each wineries origin as well as personal experiences and recipes. Massi was great fun - very warm and engaging. He enjoyed hearing our reactions as much as we enjoyed tasting all the wines. He was very punctual and made sure we made all of our appointments on time. If we had downtime, he would take us somewhere off the beaten path and share an interesting story about what he was showing us. PF's recommendations for both dinner and lunch were also spot on, and they even went as far as making a reservation for us! Anja and Massi made our trip unforgettable. This tour saved my BEHIND!!!! I called them on a last minute time schedule less than 18 hours before we actually did the tour. I called Anja and she reassured me that a great day could be done. She gave me a choice of her planning the trip with extra choices and fun stops as well as her overrated spots. We trusted her and she delivered. We spent the whole day with her and went to about 6 wineries. She told us that we shouldn't be pressured to buying a bottle unless we knew for sure we loved it. So we ended up tasting all the places and went back to the one we absolutely loved and bought a bottle. She is well known in all the wineries and people welcome you as friends instead of clients. She is very passionate about wine and customer service!! She is very open minded and if you are not pleased with the smallest detail, tell her and she will fix it ASAP! She also knows how to save you money! She had us download an app that we're giving g two for one tastings! That seriously saved my pockets! And trust me, her rates are among the most competitive. Note: they give you the choice to use your car or their own car. I used a rent a car and she drove it with care the whole day. She also offers a pick up from a ferry incase you don't have a car and visiting San Fran! That way you don't have to keep tabs on your drinking!!!
