Booked Napa Private Tours for three days for our anniversary and wow. Cynthia made the entire planning process a breeze, adjusting our itinerary multiple times without skipping a beat. Javier drove us all three days and honestly became the MVP of our trip. The guy showed up every morning with fresh flowers for my wife, had the car stocked with snacks, water, chargers, and knew every winery and back road in the valley like the back of his hand. Personable, fun, informative, and just genuinely kind. We're already planning our next trip to Napa and calling these two first. Can't recommend them enough. read more

We can't say enough nice things about Napa Private Tours. They helped us pick great wineries to visit (and some to avoid) and helped make an amazing dinner reservation. Javier went above and beyond to ensure we had a fabulous day. With fun surprises throughout the day. Do yourself a favor and book with them, we will be coming back for sure. Also great to support and local small business. read more

We had the most outstanding experience working with Napa Private Tours. Cynthia asked us questions to get to know our taste and style and curated the most perfect tour to match. She went over and above and even helped make recommendations and bookings for our other days of the trip. To come in from out of town, unfamiliar with the area we felt we got the full experience and more thanks to her advice. We had so much fun spending the day with Javier and his attention to detail was beyond our dreams. The car had fresh cut flowers from his garden, some home made light snacks and he shared so much about the area. We felt like family! We will most certainly be back and when we start planning they will be our first phone call. read more

My wife and I planned a last-minute honeymoon to Napa during Thanksgiving week. Neither of us had ever been and felt a little overwhelmed from all the recommendations we had received from friends and family. One couple recommended we reach out to Napa Private Tours to help us coordinate tastings/tours, lunch/dinner and transportation. We could not be more relieved and happy that we did! When we reached out, Cynthia essentially acted as our personal concierge. She asked us what wineries and restaurants we had been recommended and was quickly able to tell us on the spot what was available (for reservation) or what was not. She asked us what wines we preferred and what kind of vibe/setting we were looking for (i.e. something more romantic and personable, or something a little bigger and part of a group). Once we communicated what we had in mind, she planned out two perfect days for us. Honestly, it was exactly what we were looking for! Izzy was our driver and was the man! He made us feel very comfortable and was a great chat throughout the day; really knew his stuff when it came to Napa + the restaurant business. Could not recommend this company enough. They will be our first call when we return read more

Gary is a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. Would absolutely recommend him. Amazing day! Truly enjoyed our experience and will look to book him again next time we're in Napa. read more

My family and I had a fantastic experience with Napa Private Tours in August 2023. We cannot recommend them enough. We were in town for a wedding and wanted one day of wine tours around Napa Valley. Cynthia was amazing, making the whole planning process incredibly easy. She was really great about asking questions to understand what was important to us and then created a custom itinerary based on the conversations and her own expertise. She was responsive and flexible, including when we had to make last minute changes to participants. The day of the tour was the highlight of our trip. Flacko didn't just drive us from point A to point B. He taught us all about the area, providing tons of interesting facts and pointing out many landmarks along the way. He also provided a different surprise snack and refreshed water bottles between each stop. He even decorated the car with flowers, changing them out after each vineyard. Finally, the vineyards Napa Private Tour selected were outstanding. They carefully selected boutique vineyards with delicious wine, very interesting stories, and unique tasting and tour experiences. We would not have found any of those vineyards on our own. There were so many little details Napa Private Tours put into the day that went above and beyond, making the experience truly one of a kind. read more

Such an AMAZING wine tour with Javy. He put together the perfect day of wine tasting for our group of 6. A perfect tour, with a perfect host and delightful surprises! We spent two days with Napa Private Tours and Javy. The first day we spent in Sonoma where Javy curated the perfect day for us focusing on low-key, family-run wineries. From the start he was warm, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. We laughed a lot, learned a lot and were driven safely in a beautiful, clean car with fresh waters and special treats awaiting us on each return. Fresh flowers and gorgeous fruit were just some of the surprises that went above and beyond expectations. The second day we spent in Napa and, again, Javy and his team gave us an amazing experience with three small wineries, personal attention and thoughtful details. We were absolutely blown-away by the fun and beauty and organization! Javy and Napa Private Tours made our trip one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. We cannot say enough good things about the company and about Javy personally. He is a special person, who made our time in wine country a pure joy. We will be back and Napa Private Tours will be our FIRST call!! THANK YOU, Javy! read more

You haven't seen or gotten to know Napa the right way unless you've done Napa Private Tours. My boyfriend and I experienced a fun-filled and well-planned day with Javier, tasting some of the best wine Napa Valley has to offer. Javier went above and beyond to make our tour entertaining, planning an exceptional itinerary that included visits to private wineries and tasting rooms that we otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to enjoy. I especially appreciated how he shared his wealth of knowledge regarding the region's wine history and landscape. It also became evident during our tour that Javier is well-respected and well-known among the wineries. Every winery we went to told us we were in the best hands with Napa Private Tours. If you're planning a trip to Napa, I highly recommend this experience. I already told my family and friends they need to book a tour asap, and you should too - http://napaprivatetours.com/. read more

Javy hosted us for a two day trip through a small slice of heaven on earth. Six of us packed into his Escalade and were treated like royalty over the course of those two days. Javy is so passionate about sharing his knowledge of wine (and Mezcal - ask him ) and is a gracious host with amazing recommendations. His team took my input for the itinerary and filled it with with incredible additional stops and experiences along the way. They are not cheap, but they are worth every penny to see the wine country and all it has to offer. Won't go there again without calling them first! Give Cynthia a call to set up your next visit!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

WOW! What else can I say? Cynthia planned such an amazing day for us, incorporating our personal tastes in wine into the perfect tour for our family. Javier was an amazing guide, his personal experience with winemaking and his knowledge of the area took an already amazing tour over the top. We started off at Porter's winery, which was the unanimous favorite. The tour of the tunnels and private tasting with cheese pairings in the cave was so amazing! After that we went to Luna winery for a relaxed tasting on their veranda with a beautiful view of the vineyard. Then it was lunch at the Culinary Institute of America and on to Fontanella winery. We rounded out the day with a trip to Domaine Carneros. We were dropped off at our hotel tipsy, exhausted, happy, and well laden with wine purchased throughout the day! From now on, we will only be touring with Napa Private Tours! read more

Before our best day could happen, Cynthia was busy at work, planning the perfect day for my husband and I. She was very receptive to my requests, made reservations for us and made great itinerary suggestions. It was my husband's birthday and everyone knew it wherever we went! We even got a free tasting at Caymus because of it! Thank you, Cynthia! Our day started early, Flako picked us up at Domaine Chandon after our balloon ride in a pearl white SUV. He had mimosas for us, a basket with fruits and flowers, and a welcome note! Oh yes, we felt very special! Flako has a great personality, he was so nice, friendly and thoughtful throughout the entire day. He took beautiful pictures of us and gave us great recommendations for our remaining days in Napa. The experience was so great that next time I visit, I am booking you for the whole time we are there! The service offered by Napa Private Tours was second to none! I highly recommend this company! I wasn't sure what I could get from a private tour that I couldn't do myself. Now I know! We learned about Napa Private Tours from a friend who had come from New York, used them, and loved it, so when my folks came to town I gave it a try! Everybody was so impressed and happy with the whole day. Our guide, Javier, is a gentle, professional guide who went to great pains to hear what we wanted before we even got there. He has insight and entre' to more wineries than we could have seen in one day. You get a guide, a designated driver, a wine educator, and a cheerful attitude all rolled up in one person. He saved us a lot of time and money by honing in on exactly the types of wines/wineries we like, and didn't do any selling ... he let the wines speak for themselves. One of the wineries had a picnic area, and Javier had reserved a table for us, in advance. We felt special, and my folks loved it! read more

I need to start this review with a WOW!!! I consider myself a well traveled and "spoiled" tourist, so I think this WOW comes with a ton of UMMFF! Javier totally exceeded my expectations of San Fran and Napa! WHAT A PROFESSIONAL! He was 15 minutes early from the pick up and had special amenities ready for my guests. We started in San Fran and drove to Napa and Sonoma. Javier was better than an expert and explained every hill, area, tree, vine and glass with such knowledge of the valley. Our itinerary was perfect and the routes he drove were breathtaking! As a tour guide, he was the most connected guy I knew in the area. Every stop was just better than the last. He even took us to meet Ceja Vineyard owner Amelia! I WAS FLABBERGASTED! I already have friends planning their trip to meet with Javier! FIVE SOLID STARS!!! Definitely coming back over and over again! read more

Wine, wine and oh, so much wine. Thanks to David, our Napa trip was the BEST ever! We knew what it is like to drive ourselves....not very enjoyable, but we never expected the first class treatment we received from David. Being in the wine industry part time and traveling to Napa often has allowed me the pleasure of meeting and making a lot of friends in the Valley. I first met Javy many years ago when he was working for a Napa winery. Since I'm up often I never felt the need to hire someone to drive me around and show me new wineries. I could have not been more wrong; visiting three wineries made me not have to worry about anything, not even lunch! Javy drove us in one of the cleanest cars I have ever been in, the attention to detail was amazing, water, cheese, nuts, all just waiting for us. At our second stop we had an absolutely amazing lunch that was prepared by another small family business, it was certainly the best turkey and avocado sandwich I have ever had! We finished our tour by visiting Fontanella Winery, this was one of the hardest hit and most affected wineries after the recent earthquake. Great visit and they simply love Javy here which made the visit simply amazing. There are a lot of choices when it comes to picking transportation and tour guides in the valley, being in the business I can guarantee none of the big corporate companies will pamper you or take care of you like Napa Private tours will. You will not be disappointed. Congrats Javy! Keep up the good work. read more

Even though I was raised in the Bay Area, I never had the chance to explore Napa as an adult. Now that I live in NY, I've become a quasi-tourist every time I return to California, but I don't mind that designation at all if it means I get to enjoy an experience like the one Javier and Napa Private Tours set up! From the very beginning, Javier was courteous and professional while trying to find out what type of Napa experience we wanted. I'm not that familiar with wines or what a tour would normally consist of, but Javier had no problems figuring out where to take us after I answered a few of his questions. It was the perfect mix of larger wineries with sweeping views and smaller, more private places. He also didn't try to jam in more places during the hours I told him we wanted to tour, which meant we never felt rushed or like we were missing a part of the individual winery's flavor. At each place, everyone knew Javier and Javier knew everyone, and it felt like he was handing us over to trusted friends and not just some winery looking to make a buck of tourists. It really makes a difference to have the tour feel so personal! I'm an extremely punctual person. Our pickup for the tour was scheduled for 10am, so I made sure to leave the Bay Area at 7:30 to get to the meeting spot by 9:30. I thought I would be sitting around for 30 mins, but Javier arrived literally minutes after we did! It was just the first of many moments that would impress us that day. The car we rode in (the Mercedes package) was clean and comfortable, a dream to ride in. It was always stocked with waters and snacks (thank goodness, you'll need it if you're drinking wine the whole day!). My husband and father-in-law loved that Javier gave us background information about the area and pointed out interesting facts along the way. He was both respectful of our space but incredibly friendly and sincere--that's so rare to find, and it's clearly because he really loves what he does and cares about giving you the best tour possible. I can't recommend Javier and Napa Private Tours enough. I have already told my family all about him, and I will be very mad at them if they ever tour Napa with any other company! read more

Jona was the best tour guide we ever had. We entertain numerous times a year in Napa and he has out performed anyone we ever used in the past 10 years. He was recommended by Bardessono hotel. He definitely fits in with that hotel. He is a 5 star Michelin Rating for wine tours if there was such a thing. There wasn't a time his car wasn't rolling up to the door as we were exiting. We never opened a door to enter a tasting. He went into every tasting prior to us to make sure it was 100% to our expectations. He also made a last minute change in our schedule and got us a private high end tasting at Cardinale. We own our own business. He would be someone I would want to represent me and company at any time. Impeccable and humble with a servants attitude. Highly recommended. I will never use anyone else again. Thank you for an amazing experience. read more

To be fair, I haven't been on one of Javier's tours, yet, but I have been his customer. When my partner and I visited Ceja's tasting cellar, Javier was warm and friendly. What stood out about him was his breadth of knowledge that he was happy to share it without being didactic or pretentious, his clear love of wine, and his willingness to really go above and beyond for his customers. He didn't upsell the wine and stressed that it was about MY palate, not what other people say is good. I can't WAIT to come back and be taken on a tour with Javier. He is an absolute gem. I run my own business, too, so I know how wonderful it is to have reviews that really reflect the personality and vibe of a business. I HIGHLY recommend Javier. Enjoy! read more

The best tour I could've hired. They are very nice and will talk to you to decide on which wineries to take you, based on your taste and interests. Custom made tours. Our tour was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed not only the tour itself and the great wine, but also their very detailed knowledge of Napa's history and wine culture. The company was recommended to me by a friend. I just moved to San Francisco (from the Midwest) and this was my second time in wine country. My friends flew into town for the weekend and were all eager to make their way out to taste the wine. Booking was a cinch. Javier and his team made things easy and memorable for us. They were very friendly and very passionate about the tour and were sharing all sorts of information on the area, specific wineries and variations in the vineyards and wine Again, this experience was amazing! I appreciate the fact that it was not the mundane limo experience I have heard so much about. Javier and the team provided us with morning coffee and lunch. We went to 4 different wineries and the wine was fantastic. We even bought a few bottles to take home. Javier even recommended a few other wineries he thought we'd enjoy, but did not stop at, and a great place for dinner as well! If you are looking for a fun weekend and a good time in wine country, then I highly recommend Napa Private Tours! If you want a great guide and wine coach, a luxury ride so no one has to be DD, and someone to help teach you about the area and cut through the clutter to take you to the best places, I fully recommend Napa Private Tours. read more

This was truly an unparalleled experience. I've been to Napa several times, and I've even used limo services before. This wasn't that. This was a personalized tour with an interactive host. After a few minutes of discussion, the owner of the company put together a truly awesome tour for us. It was my wife's first time to Napa - hopefully she doesn't think it's just always like this! Ask for Luke when booking. This guy will explain the elements of wine making in terms any person can understand. His metaphors were on point. I'm leaving Napa this time with a whole new understanding of wine!! We went for a 7-hour trip with a surprise picnic lunch. Also, because of their recommendations, we ended up joining several wine clubs and having a ton shipped home. Our last stop was unbelievable! We torn a tour of the wine caves, tried very limited-distribution wines and had food pairings that changed the wine as we drank it. Do it - book with this company - you can't go wrong!!! read more

From start to finish we had the BEST day wine tasting in Napa with Napa Private Tours. Cynthia was knowledgeable about the Napa Valley and helped us narrow down own wants & desires, she was so kind, quick to respond to phone calls and e-mails and made all of our reservations for us. When the day arrived, our group of 6 got picked up by Javy, and we knew we were going to have a great day. Javy was SO fun, kind, knowledgable, engaging and even brought yummy cheeses, fruits and waters for us along the way. At the end we wanted to go to one more spot and Javy did some calling around and brought us to a lovely tasting room where we got to finish out our wonderful day. I cannot recommend them enough, we will all be returning back to Napa soon for another day of wine tasting with Javy ! read more

Simply amazing! Booking: Cynthia was patient and helpful. She took my input (or lack thereof as a Napa newbie) and created a memorable experience. She is a great communicator and I had full confidence going into our vacation. The Tour: What can I say? Jona was the best! He made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Hanging out with a tour guide all day can be awkward or forced... not so with Jona. He was also a great driver, avoiding small bits of traffic and showing us great scenery. I would strongly recommend these guys! read more

Javi and Jona were wonderful to work with. They know Napa very well and can steer you clear of the conveyor belt wineries with the tour buses while booking you in to the most exclusive of artisan and craftsman wineries (we went to one that was someone's weekend house with 6 acres of vines and fantastic wine). For lunch we went to a restaurant that fit the exact mood we were in after two wineries. Don't think you'll do all this inexpensively (you're in Napa - great wine costs and so should great private tours) but it is worth every penny. We reserved their large GL Mercedes SUV as our car which was very comfortable and fully stocked with napkins, towels (with cute little wine bottles and glasses on them), fruit, nuts, water, and chocolates. Definitely traveled in style. Jona took care if all the wine we were buying and was extremely geared towards customer service. Thanks guys! You're the best and we'll be recommending to all our friends when they are visiting Napa. read more

I've been to Napa a few times and have done exploring on my own thinking I've found the best of the best out here and boy was I wrong. Javier and Napa Private Tours showed me a side of Napa that I've never experienced before. From comfortable, luxury transportation to amazing up and coming restaurants to some of the most impressive family-owned small wineries I never heard of - he seems to know everything there is to know about this area. Each place we went to also knew Javier really well - even if it was one we asked to visit. They were also extremely accommodating with snacks, water, etc. - he was definitely on top of everything. This was our first time time in Napa and my husband and I enjoyed our wine tasting tour so much! Napa Private Tours was so pleasant to work with, they responded to my emails about the pricing and the itinerary and catered quickly to the changes I wanted. I wanted it to be a perfect day as we were celebrating my husband's birthday and it sure was. They picked out some great wineries for us and the lunch spot that they took us to was delicious. The car was super clean, nice and even come with delicious treats. Cesar our driver was so sweet, he answered all my husband's questions and was so knowledgeable about Napa. He was such a safe driver which was my husband's biggest concern. My husband felt so at ease and we enjoy every 6.5 hours of our tour and we couldn't have said so if it wasn't with the company of Cesar. We were a party of 4 and were going to join a group tour, but decided that for a little more money we could do a private tour. We picked Javy because of the great reviews, and we were so happy that we did. He was a pleasure to deal with. He inquired as to our wine tastes; he asked if we had any wineries that we wanted to visit and then he took over from there in setting up a perfect day for us...from winery to winery with a picnic lunch inbetween..it was perfect.
