Cheese board and bottle of wine

Loved loved loved this little gem of a winery! Right off the 101 you can't miss it. The staff here is wonderful and very knowledgeable not only of the wines but of the grounds and history too. They have ample outdoor seating with different areas to sip or picnic. They also have a farm right across the street. You can grab some carrots and go feed the cow, goats and pigs. We loved the rose and August white, took home a bottle of each. Thank you for the lovely visit.

One of the Most Amazing Experience in visiting Folded Hills Winery Ranch Farm. They have Everything that I love: Wine, animals and Fresh organic produce that you can bring home and harvest but what brought me here was their Highland Cow Hubba. As you enter they are so nice and welcoming, we arrived with no reservation but sat us right away. We really enjoyed their wine selection and our server was beyond amazing in explaining and giving us the history of the winery and the family that owns it. Our experience was beyond amazing that we became members and I can't wait to be back and enjoy all the perks they have to offer. The wine tasting area was great. You have a very big patio area and some benches along with gazebo area and love that it's not so crowded like other places. They have fruit tree's all around the area and lots of beautiful flowers and the place is just beautiful overall. After our wine tasting we walked across maybe a 2 min walk across to their Farm area and as you get there they have e so many fun things that they are growing that are in season and you can purchase as well. Their little farm stand is very unique and I love the variety of things they offer along with their fresh baked goods. We had their rice crispy treats and fresh baked cookies and they were absolutely delicious. Of course I bought a cool Shirt that had a cow and said "Moo" very soft and great quality. They had little baskets for $5 so you can feed the pigs, goats, llamas, and goats.. it was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to be back. We left with the most biggest smiles. When you pair things you love and get to experience them all in one place it's Magical! Can't express how special this hidden gem is and I will continue to speak HIGHLY of them! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The hospitality at Folded Hills is bar none!!! We had driven by the property many times en route to Buellton/Paso, but finally were given the opportunity to tour and taste at the winery in a very special experience. The property is absolutely exceptional and they really rolled out the red carpet for our small group. The wines are all delicious and the property has a LONG history. Our host met us and drove us in the Polaris over past the polo fields to the lakeside tasting area where we sampled a variety of different wines (Syrah and Grenache varietals mostly) produced by the winery, accompanied by an exceptional charcuterie board. Along the way we were given a history of the property and come to find out the property was owned by the Morton Salt family before the Busch family (of Annheiser Busch) acquired ownership. You couldn't tell from the road off of 101, but the property encompasses 600 acres!! It's mostly untouched and preserved with the exception of the polo field and some additional farm structures. It's a special place and the view of the "Folded Hills" to the south is really something special. Of course, it wouldn't go without mentioning the farm animals, of which included at the time a camel, a donkey, a zebra, and a couple of clydesdale horses. Very cool. I really enjoyed our time at Folded Hills. Everything was top notch and the staff were superb -- they really rolled out the red carpet. Definitely check them out next time you're headed up the 101 right before Buellton!

We stopped by before our camping trip to Jalama Beach. This place was great! We brought our dog and had a wonderful seat outside where we enjoyed our tasting. The property is pristine. The views of some of the vineyards and their olive trees were gorgeous. They have tons of land, with most of it being private, though you can go on it if you pay for experiences (private lake fishing, camel and zebra viewing, etc). It's owned by Kim and Andrew Busch (of Anheuser Bush), though this is a standalone business. Kim even came by and said hello. They have a small acreage of grapes, and they use all that they grow, outsourcing just a small percent on top of that to make all their wine. They also don't distribute; so you can only get the wine there or as a wine club member. We didn't end up joining, but it was tempting because the prices were actually very reasonable and the wine was pretty good. We're just already members elsewhere. But we enjoyed the wines we tasted. Our host Makenna was super knowledgeable and took our tasting to the next level. Would highly recommend trying this place out! They also have a small farmstead and store that you can stop by. My wife fed carrots to the pigs. We were lucky enough to get to see a new litter of 10 day old little piglets! They were super cute.

We took my dad here for his birthday and it was a great time! Ryan was very welcoming and friendly, as was all the staff. It's a family friendly spot and a beautiful scenery. I definitely recommend folks to check it out.

Worthy Winery Stop Along Highway 101... Star Ratings ( 1 to 5): - Overall: 4 - Location: 4 - Setting: 5 - Tasting Areas: 4 - Wines: 4 - Size Of Pour: 3 - Service: 5 - Farmstead: 10 - Parking: 5 People from our family were getting together for a birthday, but since one part lives in LA and the other in Nipomo we found a place both to our liking. - Location: Beautiful though a bit remote. The winery is about 15 minutes south of Solvang just on the east side of highway 101. That's close if you're in Solvang, but 55 minutes from our home in Nipomo and 35 minutes from Santa Barbara. On the other hand, the drive is nice and scenery along the way might help ease any tension. - Tasting Areas: Nice choices. The inside tasting room is contemporary and inviting with several areas for drinking and eating. However, most of the entertainment seems to be done outside with shaded tables for 4, 6 and more scattered across the grounds - The Wines: Interesting. Folded Hills seems to favor whites, rose and wines made from Grenache grapes. Overall, they were well received. One member our family joined the Wine Club, although the rest of our group had a fairly firm "thumbs down" for the Grenache group. - Size Of Pour: Small. Yes it's a tasting, but different wineries pour more of a taste than others. Folded Hills was on the small side. - Service: Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. We all felt comfortable with them. - Farmstead: Best part of our visit. The Farmstead is across and 1/2 block up the road. It's inside of a working ranch owned by the same people behind the winery and offers a shop with authentic looking, great tasting food...plus the chance to get together with goats, sheep, mini-pigs, 2 llamas and 2 mini-donkeys. You can feed them for $5...and there's a place to wash up afterward. Hayley, the young woman who manages the Farmstead, was a delightful host. She shared personal stories about the animals, discussed the food available and how she grew to run this part of the farm at age 24. Hayley was working hard, but always had a smile. - Parking: Plenty both at the winery and Farmstead. Would we return? Probably for the wines and definitely for the Farmstead.

View of the crops, the farmstead, and the gorgeous mountains!

Lovely winery with hospitable staff, a beautiful setting, and great values! Organic and low intervention wines that were great for my sulfite sensitivity. And the wine taste that much better after connecting with the family and experiencing unique and breathtaking land that brought it into being! And the cherry on top is the farmstead across the road with all the barnyard animals of your dreams and some great local goods for purchase.

This is casual luxury at its best--a stunning estate where elevated hospitality meets organically grown and biodynamically farmed wines. You're welcomed with kindness and graciousness from the moment you arrive, making you feel like part of the Folded Hills family. The wines, crafted with low-intervention methods, let the land speak for itself, and the beautiful tasting room and farmstead offer a setting that's both elegant and inviting. Surprise and delight are everywhere, whether it's feeding the friendly farm animals (think piglets and miniature cow!) or discovering a new favorite wine. More than just a tasting, Folded Hills is about connection--to the land, the people, and the story behind each bottle. Highly recommend!

Stunningly superb wines poured with expertise. The staff here are knowledgeable in a homey, comfortable way, telling you the wine name's stories like you are on a family visit. The tasting room is spacious and casual elegant. The grounds are mellow. Many seating choices outside.

Full disclosure we lucked out and it turned out we (my wife and I) were the only ones on the tour, it was on a Monday so I think things were slow for them. Tom picked us up at our hotel right on time and took us to 3 wineries. The first was smaller and the most remote (Cebada). It was smaller but the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Of course we bought a couple of bottles. The next winery was closer to Solvang (Brickbarn) and Tom gave us a tour of the facility, the vats etc... He's very knowledgeable about the winemaking process as well as the history of the area etc... Of course we bought a couple of bottles. The last winery was also a horse ranch (Bella Cavali). The host Jeff was great and very friendly. We got to tour the stables and say "Hi" to the horses. Of course we bought a couple of bottles! We then got dropped off back at our hotel and were pretty exhausted. It was a great experience and we highly recommend Stagecoach.

Because of our schedule we could only do the afternoon tour with two wineries, but it was still a great experience. The second winery was especially wonderful -- they clearly knew Rick, the service was warm and welcoming, and you could tell everyone genuinely enjoyed what they do. The first winery was beautiful, although the service there was a bit slow. What really stood out was that Rick went out of his way to give us recommendations for things to do afterward, which made the whole day feel very personalized.
