I'm so glad he's settled into Buellton, making his exceptional wines and hosting in his whimsical, comfortable tasting room (with plenty of cozy inside and outside shaded seating). A generous tasting of 8+ of his wines is $25, waived with a $40 purchase. Warm and welcoming, super down-to-earth, and so genuine, Matt made the visit a memorable experience. He will chat with you (about the wine, Buellton, surfing, and/or his extensive travels) or leave you be to enjoy. It's super chill. Snacks available - try the smoked Gouda pretzels, yum. My favorite wine was the Xarel-lo, which I learned is the grape used to make Cava. There wasn't a wine of his that I didn't enjoy, and whether reds or whites are your jam, you will be impressed. Every single one of the wines were excellent. Matt (owner) is full of experience, knowledge and he took the time share his conversation with us. Hidden in plain site gem of a winery!!!! Matt is awesome and produces some awesome wines. We were so lucky to find out about this place when we first drove up from camping in Santa Barbara. The wines were so good we had joined their wine club which on this trip we picked up our selection at the wine club appreciation day. Matt put on one great party and we were lucky to meet several people and taste some of Matt's great wines. This being our first of several wine club events was N awesome experience. He went as far and hiring out a wood fired pizza to supply some awesome made to order pizza's. We stopped in on a recent trip to Buellton. Matt was awesome. He knew about his wines and answered all of my odd questions. The passion for wine comes out when he talks about his product. We ended up buying a couple of bottles and joining the wine club. We had the luminecent white wine. Delicious!!! We got a fruity green apple on the front and ended with a carmel after. My mother and I stopped by this past weekend to pass some time before we had to meet some friends for dinner. This place is in the corner of a plaza where there are other wineries. It seems to have a lot of competition in the area, but this place had a cool vibe to it. They had excellent wines and the pricing was good as well. I can't say enough good things! My husband and I stopped in after a hike with no idea what to expect. We ended up having a great time. A tasting flight is $20 and includes seven wines. We liked everything we tried and ended up leaving with four bottles. The winemaker, and owner, Matt is a really cool guy with great stories. This place has a great small atmosphere and the maps and decor are phenomenal. The wine maker was friendly and held great conversation. I liked the whites but wasn't a big fan of the reds due to their high tannins. They were a bit richer and chewier than I tend to like. I ended up buying the The Pinot Noir which was amazing l. I also purchased the Rose which I don't believe is released yet, but it was too good to pass up I had to grab a bottle! There's a nice large parking lot with a few other tasting rooms. It's on the left side of industrial away. If you want to swing over to Figerora Mountain Brewery after it's right across the street.
