We had a great experience at Section Wines Winery. Section Wines is a cool little coop winery with limited production. This a bad scene tasting in the production facility, so don't expect a fancy tasting room. Your tasting will be in the actual barrel aging room. Our host was credibly knowledgeable and the wines were very good. It is best to prearrange/ make a reservation. read more

Marco was phenomenal! He truly loves what he does and it shows in how he describes the wines and the process. The wine which is Italian inspired is absolutely delicious. I am a white wine person but his reds are delicious, in particular his Cabernet Sauvignon was superb and I am now a convert for his variety. This is my first Yelp review. I had to do this one because Marco and Section Wines deserve it. I've been to many wineries and have done a lot of wine tastings. I found Section Wines right before the pandemic. I was looking for something different. Hands down, this is the best wine and wine tasting experience I have ever had. All the other reviewers do not lie. The wines are SO good, and Marco (the owner and wine maker) takes time to really give you a personal wine tasting experience. I have been back several times (obviously), and I always bring friends with me. No one ever goes home without a membership or bottles (and more bottles) of wine. Today, I wish Marco a Happy 50th revolution around the sun! A little birdie (Ana) told me when we were there a couple of weeks ago. Exceptional! A great wine tour took us here, and we're so happy. Marco was such a good guy, so genuine and kind. You can feel his passion for this, and his sense for doing what's right to make truly great wine - no shortcuts, no expenses spared. You don't often find wines that just seem so well balanced like this - again, so much care to not overdo anything and do it right, age it longer, etc. I have a sense that Marco's star is on the rise, and pretty soon he's going to go supernova. My wife and I visited the Santa Barbera wine country for our anniversary and booked a tasting at Section Wines based on the good reviews I read, and I am very happy that I did. Ana and Marco were extremely friendly and passionate about wine making. The wines were amazing and we loved hearing about the wine making process. The location of the winery/tasting room threw me off at first. Section Wines is located in an industrial area, but once you are in the barrel room you can't focus on anything but the gracious hosts and excellent wine. What a wonderful experience. Truly personalized and crafted wines. We had a lovely time here with talks around culture and nature's appreciation with such a talent and passionate artist - Marco! He has a great taste on wine, it's flavors/varieties. Very distinct and easy going white wines so very flavorful. I love the reds, very aromatic, his hard work and passion is very well distilled in wines that he produces. I would love to revisit solvang I guess now I have a compelling reason. Visiting Section Wines during our wine tour of the Santa Ynez Valley was a wonderful experience on multiple levels. When we first arrived to an industrial area, I had no idea what to expect. Entering into Section wines we were first greeted by Marco and second by the wonderful aroma of racks of French oak barrels aging wine. Right off the bat you could tell Marco had a passion for what he has created. He truly cares about the wine and wants to make something that not only taste excellent buts makes you fill something in your soul. The art that adorns the walls and graces the labels of the bottles add an extra layer to the story of each bottle. The combination of foods to taste along with the different wines was paired perfectly. We stumbled on this place through Yelp. My wife didn't notice that it was by appointment so we walked up at around 12:30 on a Thursday afternoon and Marco was driving a forklift. Without hesitation, Marco invited us in and they set everything up. I am not kidding that these are some of the best wines we have tasted in our 25 years in California wine country.
