We enjoyed our mother's day at the lake. Christian was great and very informative. My only suggestion would be to have a better charcuterie board. It was mostly all the same cheese and not very diverse. Luckily someone in our group brought a platter with hummus, veggies etc. read more

We had such a great experience here! The staff was super friendly and attentive even though they were running a little behind when we arrived, they went above and beyond to make it right and actually comped a portion of our tasting (which was so generous and unexpected!). Our server was christian and he was so informative about the different wines we tried. The wines were amazing really balanced and unique, with a great mix of varietals to try. The space itself was beautiful and relaxing, perfect for an afternoon with friends. We stopped at this sweet, little farm and shop on the way into Solvang. It was so beautiful! Not to mention, the farm animals were my favorite part! Oh! And the Lavender Lotion they sell! The shop is beautiful, however, I forgot to take pictures of it! I bought a lavender lotion, and my friend bought a dozen eggs from the chickens on the property, some pickles, fresh basil, and carrots. The animals outside are the sweetest! I believe you can buy feed for them inside, but they also love a good pet. I fell in love with one of their Kune Kune piglets! As soon as I pet him, he rolled onto his belly snorting with happiness. I didn't want to leave. After the weekend, when I returned home from Solvang, I realized my Lavender Lotion pump wasn't working, no matter how hard I tried to open it. I reached out to Folded Hills and spoke with Hayley. I wanted to see if she had any suggestions to get the pump working. She arranged to have a new bottle sent to my home. How nice of them! It literally came a day later. Thank you Haley and Folded Hills for a great first time experience! I will definitely make this a regular stop in the future and so should you! read more

Super cute farmstand. My friends and I stopped on our way to Solvang and it was def worth the trip. They have some friendly animals in the paddock and you can buy a little basket of veggies to feed them for $5. Check out the farm store for local fresh honey, pickles, eggs and organic produce just to name a few. The place is small but spread out. We saw a cafe and wine tasting room (separate buildings) on our drive to the farm stand. read more

The young lady that wears a crown necklace around her neck and works the Carpinteria Farmers Market for Folded Hills is incredibly rude and I watched her put a bunch of fruit that fell onto the ground when unloading the truck, right onto the sales table. I tried to tell her that was unsanitary and she unloaded on me with inappropriate language and insults. I was just trying to protect the public. She was over the top entitled and aggressive. 5 stars just for the animals next to the country store across from the winery (which we will certainly visit next time). So many friendly, hungry friends you can feed and pet if they get close enough to the fence. Happy, hungry goats were excited to see us (ok maybe it was the feed?) Inside the store we loved the swiss cheese from a small, local producer. This place is near Nojoki Falls so we will certainly stop here every time we are doing that trail to see what new animals they have. Great for the kids too. read more

The cutest little farm which both children and adults can enjoy. They have a cute gift shop which sells snacks, home made bakery goods,fresh eggs,and more. To feed the animals it's $5 per basket. The employee helping us out was so kind and sweet. Highly recommend coming here to spend some time after wine tasting in the vineyard. read more

This place was our first stop on our trip up the coast. It's a farm store with cute, rustic decor/touches. I loved the giant chalkboard "menu". We stopped in and grabbed a basket of the reddest and sweetest strawberries as well as a giant homemade chocolate chip cookie. They sell a variety of produce, preserves, honey, etc. Before leaving, I fed some goats and squealed at the little piglets out back. They have a sink outside to wash off your produce and I gave our berries a rinsing there. We ate the whole little basket within minutes! read more

Such an adorable shop - it far exceeded my expectations! It looks so small from the front, but the inside is so tidy and has plenty of fresh goodies from produce to honey and eggs. The presentation is satisfying. Even more pleasant is the back of the shop. Today we saw seven baby pigs, goats, and ponies. You can feed them a cart of lettuce for $0.50. My favorite thing was the you-pick strawberries for $3 a cart. They also have you-pick tomatoes for $4, but none were available today. read more

Found this place randomly while looking through places in Santa Barbara to visit on the drive back home. I'm so glad I found this! My group had just talked about wanting to go strawberry picking and, lo and behold, The Farm Stead had an open strawberry field. We got to pet and feed animals like goats, donkeys, and pigs. Sadly there were no llamas when we went today. They had other foods to buy including their fresh picked veggies as well as bread, cookies, and lemonade. We purchased our picked strawberries as well as a loaf of the rosemary sourdough bread they had to sample. I wish I lived closer because I would visit quite a bit to buy delicious foods. If you're nearby make sure you pay it a visit! read more

Farmstead is a wonderful community resource. They offer a variety of delicious, organic, local produce, all year long. The eggs are some of the best I've ever had, and they even raise heritage pigs for food. I'm vegetarian, but I've heard it's amazing. On Market Days, there are additional goodies like homemade sauces, pickled vegetables, honey, and even local olive oil. Everything is healthy, delicious, and sustainable. It's conveniently located, too, between Santa Barbara & Buellton, just off the 101. It's super close to Nojoquoi Park, which is also worth a like for a pre produce hike. read more

This place is the coolest ever! We stumbled upon this farmer's market while taking a detour from Solvang. Off the beaten path and well worth the stop! It's ran as an "honor system" meaning there are no employees-- prices are listed and there is a locked box to put your money in. They had soooo many incredible fruits and veggies. An added bonus is they have piggies and goats! It was so fun feeding the goats (they sell food for .50 cents) and they are actually super sweet and not aggressive at all. I wish this was close to my house, what a GEM!!! read more

My Girl Scout troop descended on the Farm Stead like a horde of locusts during a recent camping trip to the Santa Ynez Valley. The staff was amazingly gracious and really went out of their way to provide a memorable and eye-opening experience to our troop of city girls. The farmstore llocated in an early 1900s barn looks great and has an great selection of pepared jams, jellies, chocolate, etc. that the parents really enjoyed. The Farm Stead was was the highlight of our camping trip and will be a highlight of any trip to the Sovang/Santa Ynez Valley area. read more

This farm is perfect, and I'm glad we stopped here while traveling through. It is easily accessible from the 101 fwy. There is berry picking to be done and also a great little produce market in the barn with some great farm fresh produce. This is a charming farm with a wonderful barn full of organic veggies and fruits. There is also a u-pick section with some seasonal fruit and veggies. We recently went and got to pick some very sweet strawberries!! I have to say the kicker for me, and I have been a customer for about three years, is the honor system at the barn. There is no cashier or employee for that matter. There is simply a box and a notepad with a pen where you write down what you bought and you then put the money in the box! I was so surprised when I first saw that... I almost felt like this was some sort of a trick and there would be some person hiding behind the barn that tackles you if you don't put the correct amount in the box! Luckily I don't know if they do or not because I'm honest! Oh on our last trip we got to meet the farmer Abel, he was so nice and friendly!! I can't wait to go back and this time I've got to get me some eggs!! read more

I stumbled on paradise today. While driving north on the 101, I saw a sign from the for Farm Stead Organic Produce and pulled off the road quickly. From the moment I saw the farm I felt like I had been transported to another world. The barns were beautiful. There were goats & llams behind a fence to greet me. I walked inside and saw the fleshiest produce I think I've ever seen. There was a sign with baskets saying I could cross the street and hand pick my own produce if I liked and pay when I was done. There was even a washing station for my fresh picked beets and swiss chard. The goats were begging for me to feed them. They had a bucket filled with kale to feed the animals. The goats seem to really love the kale! They have fresh eggs and olive oil, jams and nut butters. Oh, they even have a sign that says, "Electric vehicles charge free." If you have kids and want to show them a different world, you should take them to Farm Stead Organics. I think I'll go back tomorrow!! read more

The farm stead is an absolutely magical place! Stopped there on a whim coming down to the coast. Picking fruit was so much fun and the berries were so delicious. My favorite part was the adorable kune-kune piglets and baby donkey! As well, the farm staff member Marika made us feel so welcomed! She is really knowledgeable and you can see how much she really cares about the place. So nice to see happy people working in a happy place with happy animals ^_^. I recommend a quick stop there any time you're driving up or down the 101! read more

Absolutely love this place!!! Went twice to this place. Once during the week and then the weekend. Was so surprised that they run by an honor system during the week. It definitely says something about the business. I hope that no one takes advantage of that though. I really love the process of picking my own strawberries it was so much fun.
