This was a good experience. Got to see a good amount of Ostriches and Emus in a single place. It is a dirt farm for the birds so don't wear your best white shoes, they will get very dusty. They seemed pretty friendly even though they looked a little scary. As long as you feed these birds don't won't go ape. Fun site to visit if you pass by the area.
Was great place to stop on your way to Solvang. We liked that it was pet friendly with leash. It was fun to walk along fence and pick and chose who to feed. Careful the bigger ones will try to take the bowl out of your hands. Had fun time and would recommend for young and old. There is plenty of parking too.
Stopping at Ostrichland USA on our way home from Solvang a few weeks ago was a must on our itinerary! Pricing was $7 for adults and $3 for kids under 12 plus $1 for each person wanting to feed the Ostrich and Emu. You enter through a gift shop and then out to where all of the birds are - they even had a couple of bunnies and a cat. There were so many Ostrich and Emu spread out everywhere. They come right up to you and just start pecking away! Tip: if you walk down further where the Emu are, there is more room to move around and plus there are lots of birds to feed. I think the Ostrich at the front of the entrance get most of the food - we felt bad not going to where the others were. The whole area was pretty cool - it kind of felt like we were on a safari with how picturesque the mountains and land were. The lady running the gift shop who also explained the rules was very nice! I highly recommend if you have small kids or just need a place to stop and stretch your legs! They offer bathrooms as well! Check them out!

This is a popular spot with families. It's such a unique and fun opportunity to feed ostriches and emus up close. Kids love it here. When feeding these giant birds, be sure to hold the feeding bowl handle tightly with two hands. Their peck is strong! There are plenty of photo ops around the sprawling farm. They are eager and will pose for food! Parking is plentiful on their private lot. There's also a gift shop with ostrich souvenirs and even eggs to buy! Make sure to check their hours on holiday weekends; sometimes, they close early.
We stopped by this ostrich farm near Solvang and honestly had a really nice time. I think it's especially fun if you have kids feeding the birds and walking around the farm is a cool experience. The drive there is beautiful and it's very close to Solvang, so it's easy to get to. The farm is pretty big, and I liked that the birds had a lot of space in their enclosures. There's also a cute little gift shop at the entrance with toys and souvenirs. The lady working there was super nice and explained everything to us. They give you food to feed the ostriches, which makes the whole visit even more fun. The only downside was the smell in some areas. The enclosures probably could be cleaned a little more often. They also planted lavender around the farm, which looked really pretty honestly even more lavender would make the place feel even nicer. Overall, definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. It's a fun way to spend about an hour outdoors.
Been here multiple times and it's always a fun and unique experience every single visit. This place is huge and houses many ostrich and emus that you are able to feed. After purchasing an admission ticket, the guide gives you a brief run down of the place and how to feed the birds. They are vicious and like to peck at the food tray really hard so be sure to hold on tight when feeding. There are bathrooms and sinks to use after feeding and staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a small little gift shop with neat items to purchase like emu eggs and more, and cool photos ops throughout the farm. Definitely a must stop when visiting Solvang!
When going to Solvang, you gotta stop here. This is just as enjoyable for adults as it is for kids. There is a $7 entrance fee and then you pay $1 for a bowl of food for the animals. There are Emus and Ostriches to feed. When you first enter, it looks like there is just a small section but the property is quite large with several large pens and areas for the animals. There are even some viewing platforms at the bottom of the hill that you can feed and watch the Ostriches running around. The feet is a bowl with a handle so it's easy to keep your hands away from being pecked. The entire experience is probably 30-40 minutes to spend time at. There is a small gift shop and a set of bunnies on the exit. The porta-potties are really clean and smell okay. The rest of the farmland smells like farm. lol A great experience and wonderful staff.
A small place that visitors can visit with or without their dogs. Entry fees are reasonable. People can also feed the Ostriches and Emus by adding $1 extra. People feed the Ostriches and Emus in the front but there are lots more in the back. The staff should let people know there are more in the back.
OstrichLand is one of those places where you think to yourself, it's just a bunch of ostrich but then you get there and it's way cooler than expected. $7 admission + $1 for each bowl of feed. There is parking in the dirt lot out front but more overflow parking in the back. It's a choose your own adventure experience once you pay for the admission so spend as little or as much time as you'd like here. The ostriches and emu have so much space to wander. I came at around 4 pm, one hour before closing time. This was a great time because I was pretty much the only one there so I could take as many pictures of the animals as I wanted and they were hungry! I ended up buying four bowls of feed. The whole experience took me about 30 experiences. If you're visiting Solvang, I highly recommend driving over to Buellton and stopping by here. Timing could also be important so coming earlier or later in the day could mean less people and more attention from the animals. The gift shop also sells ostrich eggs and emu eggs. Last price check was $45 for the ostrich eggs and $25 for the emu eggs.
Sooo much fun & scary @ the same time!!! This is my 3rd time doing this w/ my sisters. There's an admission fee & then u pay for bowls of food which is only $1 more. There's many spots where u can feed the ostriches or emus. Ostriches will come out of the field 4 the food & by golly gee, they r huge creatures!!! They will bit the bowl & try & take it from u!!! There was also a kitty laying there that I got 2 pet, but was warned that the cat is not the friendliest cat & will snap when he doesn't want any more pets. The emus r not as big as the ostriches, but they r just as feisty. I also got 2 see some young emus!!! Great service!!
Just off the roadside before entering Solvang is this fun little side attraction. Yes, it is a tourist trap but I had fun feeding and interacting with the ostrich and emus on this ranch. Spent about 30 minutes here to feed and take some photos. It was fun. I took home a small ostrich finger puppet plush as a souvenir.
I have never been to Ostrichland, even though I have passed by a number of times while on route to Solvang! But... I finally visited, and fed an ostrich! Here are my thoughts. Admission was $7 per person, and the feed was $1. They do have special rates for seniors and Military so bring ID if you'd like to take advantage of those! We arrived around noon, and though it was in the middle of December, it felt HOT. The sun is pretty strong, and burns your skin, and there is barely any shade so plan accordingly. The grounds had both ostriches and emus, placed in different pens so you can enjoy different feeding experiences. Some of the birds seemed very well fed, because they ignore your bowl. Overall a fun little pit stop, and something fun to do at least once! I do regret not taking more photos with them, but I was scared of getting pecked~
Ostrichland USA is such a hidden gem. It's a great spot for kids, adults, and even a fun date idea. This was our second time visiting, and the admission prices are very fair: $7 for adults and $4 for kids. Feed is $1 and one container per family is more than enough as we still had leftovers and ended up sharing with another couple. The whole experience takes about 30 minutes. My 5-year-old son absolutely loved it, and this will definitely be a core memory for him. If you're visiting Santa Barbara or Solvang, I highly recommend stopping by. 5 stars overall for a great experience and the free, dedicated, and ample parking.

Searched up things to do with kids in Solvang and Ostrichland USA was at the top of the results. This is a must visit for all ages, frankly. We spent maybe an hour to an hour and a half here, but could have stretched it to two hours tops. You get a chance to feed the emus and ostriches, just be mindful of the tips and tricks that the staff give you to avoid any errant pecking or biting. Lots of photo opportunities to be had. We even saw a little cat mascot napping away outside the gift shop. There is a penny stamping machine and lots of other great gift options available as well. We got a little ostrich marionette that our son loves, as well as some faux ostrich leather pieces. The staff person in the store was very friendly and informative. The ostrich eggs that they sell are pretty cool and they do sell some ostrich jerky, but it is not from the ostriches on this farm, so no worries there :) Prices in 2026 were $10 per adult and $5 per child + $1 to feed the ostriches. Parking is easy and ample. Restrooms are available. read more

This is an open dirt farm. All animals are surrounded by fencing and wooden barriers. This spot only has emu and ostriches. Admission was 10 bucks per person and purchasing a bowl to feed was about a buck. Staff was very friendly and there was a small gift shop. This spot is perfect if you have small kids. Just to observe the size of these animals and how they look is quite interesting. If you're traveling, stop by! read more

Who knew feeding ostrich and emu would make it onto your bucket list? We had fun stopping to see them roaming around the property that we saw them on when we originally drove past them on our way into Solvang. With the weather being questionable, it just made sense to go do something different for a change. We paid our entrance fees from the parking lot before entering the store. We hadn't planned on buying any feed for the ostriches and emus so we still had to stop to make that purchase. It was interesting to see the emus and fun to watch them eat. They were much gentler than we expected but maybe they were on good behavior that day? They were all quite vocal but trying to figure out which one was making all the noise was a challenge. Some of the emus were walking away from the fence but we couldn't figure out why they were leaving. We moved over to feed the ostrich which were surprisingly much larger than we realized. As far as we could tell they only have two toes while the emus have three. There are definitely zoo animal smells going on so if anyone has sensitive olfactory senses they should be forewarned. We enjoyed our visit and encourage others to visit too! Great for families with kids! read more
Came to Ostrichland USA after hearing about it from a friend and then also finding out that it was nearby one of our stops along the way to Solvang/SoCal/Disney. What a cool place to be! Ostrichland is located just off the 246 right before you hit Solvang. We came on a Wednesday afternoon and there were maybe 2 or 3 other groups of people... not busy or crowded at all! Here's how it works: - Walk in through the main gift shop to pay for entry - It is $7 to get in + $1 if you want to feed them, which seems like such a great deal for an hour or two of entertainment! - A worker will hand you a bowl that has a handle and a small scoop of pellets to feed the birds! - Make sure you're holding TIGHT on that bowl; some of the birds will try to grab the bowl instead of the food lol Not only were there ostriches both young and mature, there were also EMU! They growled like dinosaurs! On top of that there are a bunch of squirrel... taking advantage of all the dropped food I'm sure haha PS they have a resident kitty named Piper who is about 15 years old! She is so cute! Such a great unforgettable stop and worth the visit for sure. read more

Ostrichland USA is a fantastic stop for families, kids, and adults alike. We visited during the holidays and found the pricing incredibly reasonable at $10 for adults and $5 for kids. We went the weekend after Christmas at 1030am and they asked if we had tickets before letting us park. May be better when it's not the holidays. Highlights: * The Animals: There are tons of ostriches and emus. Even if they don't seem hungry at first, a little patience goes a long way--you'll be feeding them in no time! * Perfect Timing: It's a great way to spend about one hour of your day. * Value: Beyond the entry fee, the gift shop is also very fairly priced with great souvenirs. I mean how couldn't this be cool! You have to do it at least once. Stop in while you're in Solvang and reserve a spot online or you can purchase once there. Lots of dirt parking off the main road, little gift shop before entering and check-in is quick. You can purchase feed bikes for $1 each at counter. Once in there are many areas to feed the ostriches and emus. Careful just like they say they will peck you! Or grab your bowl haha strong they are!!! Employees are nice, there are port-o-potties outside, a water filling fountain and its wheelchair/ mobility scooter accessible. They take cash or card for payment. read more
Try his place is adorable ! It is also simple and well managed. They have a great system for people to come in .. Feed the babies .. buy some swag .. then enjoy the rest of the day. The prices are clearly marked and directions are simple. There are plenty of spots to walk around and feed the birds. Posted signs ate there to remind everyone yo respect the wildlife and their habitat . The proximity you can achieve to these beautiful animals is so gratifying ! The costs are quite low but extremely reasonable. The back area is clean and well kept. The staff are helpful, friendly, and willing to answer questions! Will return soon to feed these guys again! I celebrated my birthday at Ostriland with my family, and it turned out to be such a special and fun experience. Feeding the ostriches was hilarious and a little surprising at times they definitely keep you on your toes! The best part was that we had the whole place to ourselves. It felt calm and private, which made it even more memorable. Entry was $7 per person, and each plate of food for the ostriches was only $1, which is very reasonable for the experience. It was a simple, different, and joyful way to spend my birthday. Lots of laughter, lots of funny moments, and memories I'll cherish with my family. If you're looking for something unique to do, especially with kids or loved ones, this place is worth checking out. read more
We came in right before closing, as they close at 5 pm. The farm did not disappoint. It's $7 per person and if want to feed the Ostrich it's $1 a bowl. Recommend getting 2 -3 there's several. My only concern were a few ostrich seemed to be loosing hair. There is plenty to see, and if feeding its a good opportunity to interact. Just do it with caution as they eat pretty aggressively. We had fun. After we stopped by the gift shop that has a bit of ostrich merchandise. We got each a pair of cute ostrich earrings. read more

This was a fun stop on the way to Solvang. We didn't have to stay long and the kids really enjoyed it. A little bit hot out there this time of year but well worth it for the fun memory of seeing the ostriches. Although they did not seem very hungry when we tried to feed them haha read more
This place is awesome! We brought our granddaughters here. You buy a bowl of food for $1 and you go out to feed them. There are Ostriches and Emu of all different sizes and ages. Be sure to wear closed toed shoes as you'll be walking in dirt. We bought 10 bowls of food to feed them all. Go early so the animals will be hungry as later on in the day they don't eat as much. read more

This was such a fun stop driving into Solvang. My 5 year old son's dreams came true to get close enough but still a safe distance to feed an exotic animal. My husband and I also enjoyed this little pit stop. I was pleasantly surprised with how big the grounds are and the amount of bids they have. I for one was truly impressed by the ostriches. I never truly grasped how tall they really are. Amazing beautiful birds and it was fun feeding them. Not a wallet breaker to stop and feed some birds. read more

I had such a fun stop at OstrichLand USA on the way to Solvang! It's one of those quirky roadside spots that ends up being way more memorable than you expect. Feeding the ostriches and emus was definitely the highlight--they come right up to you, and it's such a unique (and slightly hilarious) experience. It felt interactive without being overwhelming, and you can tell the animals are used to visitors. What I really loved is how affordable it is. It's a quick, low-cost activity that still feels like a full experience, especially if you're just passing through. Perfect little break from the drive, and something different from the usual stops. When in solvang/buelton, go see these hubgry ostrich and emus. And chipmunks? Reserved ONLINE before visiting, they're strict on this. They won't let you past the threshold of the farm without a reservation. I get it they need their $, but customer service could be a little more friendly at the front. The guys that give the food were cool. Cute gift shop but not cheap and the offerings were not too extensive. Glad we did this with our kiddos overall it was a fun experience! read more

Reservations are not needed. Nice big venue with easy walking paths. Nice gift shop too. You will definitely have a good time! Plan for 20+ minutes there.

Yes, we saw quite a few dogs while we were there. And none of them were service dogs.

No No.. not… no charge for your Baby :)
Do you need to buy tickets ahead of time during the week right now or is it pretty easy to just walk up and get tickets?
My family went on a Monday and it wasn't crowded at all. We did reserve a spot the night before.

You can reserve a spot or just show up.
Are dogs allowed when visiting?
They were last year when we went! It still says dogs allowed on the main page! Call to confirm but they've been dog friendly for a long time!

Yep! Just have to wait outside until it is your turn to feed them.
