Such a cute and charming pumpkin patch! Stopped in on a recent weekend visit with my teen to Solvang! While smaller than LA patches it has a ton more charm! I actually liked that it was straight to the point with its offerings. With a wide variety of pumpkins to pick from (they even have black pumpkins, sunflowers and dried corn, etc), an awesome cornmaze to get lost in and some really yum kettle and caramel corn popcorn to take home! We very much enjoyed our visit! We took home several varieties of pumpkins to decorate our home for fall!

We had such a fun time at the Solvang Farmer pumpkin patch! They have a great variety of pumpkins and really cute photo ops. The staff was super friendly and even offered free kettle corn samples. Entrance is free, but there's a small fee if you want to do the corn maze which was $10 per person. Felt pretty affordable. We did it and loved the little scavenger hunt where you can win a mini pumpkin if you complete it. Perfect family outing, highly recommend!

Decided to take a a pumpkin adventure and head north to Solvang to visit this amazing local pumpkin patch! The drive alone is worth it but the patch really screamed small town family vibe. The selection of pumpkins was plentiful from small decorative to jack-o-lantern and baking to massive monster pumpkins to make your neighbors jealous. The corn maze was fantastic with full grown corn stocks that really filled in so it was actually difficult and confusing to traverse. They make the corn maze a scavenger hunt with 5 hidden items to locate making it a game. We spent an hour plus in the maze going round and round. Pricing was similar to every other patch you've seen. They also had popcorn and kettle corn to snack on. I'm be of the best pumpkin patches I've been too.

The hubby and I decided to take a trip to Solvang. We both never been and wanted an adventure and it was so worth it. We made sure we stopped by this pumpkin patch. It's not a big pumpkin patch in my opinion but it is just right. There aren't rides or anything but it's a place to get a pumpkin, get lost in the corn maze, and take a few pictures.

Ok this is a fun place during the Halloween Season for all especially the kiddos. The staff were very attentive and helpful and polite. The selection of pumpkins omg were plentiful and varieties were amazing. The other things to do were corn mazes and just a fun time. The prices were reasonable and fitting for the quality of pumpkins and sizes. This is a must do during the Halloween season.

We came here for the corn maze. A local told us she has never been able to get out, so we decided to give it a try. $8 for the maze and they sell snacks and drinks that you can take in if you want. We were a team of 4 and made it out after a lot of wrong turns and dead ends, but took us about 1hr. The pumpkin patch had all kinds to pick from and was fun to enjoy as well!

We drove from Santa Barbara to come to this pumpkin patch and it was worth the drive! There are so many pumpkins to choose from and farming equipment for the kids to explore. Lots of places to take pictures and post to social media (or Yelp!). The 14 acre corn maze was fun! My 6 and 8 year olds were able to do it in 23 minutes. Parking is free and plentiful.

Beautiful scenery and fun photo opportunity place! I love the corn maze and that they have one for our younger kid friends and some really tall adult corn maze options! They have cute hats and fun popcorn to snack on as you wander through a gorgeously crafted corn maze. They have a night corn maze coming up that looks like a blast! Went there with the family and we were amazed by the sizes of the pumpkins and just enjoyed hanging out for a bit. Definitely a new tradition to head here in October and conquer the maze and take advantage of the photo opportunity

If you're visiting Solvang, you should definitely drive up to the pumpkin patch if it's the season. So many big pumpkins and photo ops. I loved the old, rusty vehicles and farm equipment throughout the area. It wasn't over crowded like most pumpkin patches and everything is nicely spaced out, so we got a lot of great pictures. Their corn maze is pretty big too and it's not expensive at all.

Corn maze prices. The kids maze is a separate smaller maze.

The coolest pumpkin patch I've even been to, we came here to check out the corn maze they have (the maze path is different every year). Besides the corn giant corn maze the pumpkin patch itself is huge. Lot of space and lots of cool farm equipment to take picture with or have in the background. The corn maze cost $7 per person, and they also have a smaller kids maze for $3.

I love this pumpkin patch. For one, it is free to get in. Other patches charge admission just to get in. This pumpkin patch has pumpkins, a maze, and plenty of places to take pictures with kids if that is your thing. In addition to buying pumpkins I took pictures with my two year old on several farm tractors and an old truck. The pumpkins are reasonably priced and the staff are friendly. My only minor quibble is that when it is busy it is hard to get in and out of the parking lot. My wife has been going to this patch for many years and we will continue to go here as our yearly tradition when in the SYV.

Love this time of year! Pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins! If your brave enough there is an amazing corn maze and the owners even thought of the kids and made a smaller one for them. Fresh popcorn and water was available as the day can get a little warm. Happy Pumpkin hunting!

Really cool pumpkin patch! One of the best I've ever seen. It's such a beautiful area around there. They have such a huge variety of pumpkins, and gourds. More than I've ever seen anywhere! From 100's of pounds to little ones. And they grow them all there on their farm. They have a huge corn maze too. I didn't do the maze but it looked awesome. Highly recommended if you are in the Solvang area.

Pricing was $7 for adults and $3 for kids under 12 plus $1 for each person wanting to feed the Ostrich and Emu. You enter through a gift shop and then out to where all of the birds are - they even had a couple of bunnies and a cat. There were so many Ostrich and Emu spread out everywhere. They come right up to you and just start pecking away! Tip: if you walk down further where the Emu are, there is more room to move around and plus there are lots of birds to feed. I think the Ostrich at the front of the entrance get most of the food - we felt bad not going to where the others were. The whole area was pretty cool - it kind of felt like we were on a safari with how picturesque the mountains and land were. The lady running the gift shop who also explained the rules was very nice! My son was me mesmerized by the amount of ostrich and emus that were at farm. One thing that you have to be careful, specially if you have little ones, some of the birds can be quiet aggressive when feeding them and I saw some people get pecked. We were there for less than an hour and that was enough time for us to walk around the entire farm and feed the ostrich and emus. We had a great experience overall and recommended for families to try at least once and worth the memories.

I know Napa Valley is like THE Mecca of Wineries, at least in California, & going there once before, I kinda understand, kinda. But is it really that much better? In my humble opinion.. Ehh. It was whatever Sure, I'm down dropping a nice crispy Benjamin to get that aged, vintage 2013 Cab.. But will I really care, or even notice once that bottle is depleted & I'm now ordering the 2nd least expensive Chenin Blanc on the menu just to wash away all my worries. (Suddenly, Every wine snob, wine aficionado & novice sommelier enters the chat) But, But Lance, it's Napa, How dare you speak against this Holy Land of all Superior Wine. And to that I say, I get it. I truly understand that not all wine is created equally, but also that not all of us have the BIG BUCKS to continuously drop $100 big ones on that prized Napa Cab. Hey, call me crazy, but to me, it's not just ALL about the wine that is produced, but more about the overall experience. It's the vibe. It's the way you are treated. & it's definitely about how they made you feel. Anyone else getting Maya Angelou vibes?? IYKYK ;) **All Wine Snobs have left the Chat** *Vega Vineyard and Farm has entered the chat* Alright team Vega, sit back, kick your feet up, & just listen while I brag a little about you. It was a BEAUTIFUL November afternoon just 4 days prior to Thanksgiving. We were heading back south from Paso Robles & decided to make a little pit stop before getting all the way back home. So my wife looked up wineries in the area that were kid friendly & Vega was at the top of the list. Walking in, we noticed that they had a little restaurant right at the entrance, so we went to put our name down for a table. Unfortunately, the wait time was a little longer than we wanted to wait, only because we had the kids with us, but the hostess suggested if we didn't want to wait, that they had more food on the other end of the farm in "Pops Place". Other than the wine itself, eating the food in "Pops Place" was probably the best move we could have unintentionally made that day. (I'll explain in a bit) So we slowly made our way towards the other side of the farm/vineyard & all I can say is, what a gorgeous property it was. The farm life, the outdoors, the weather, & I was with my Fam. It couldn't have been a better day! Once we got to Pops Place, it was like we entered into a whole new world. A huge area for kids with a jungle gym, stations for outdoor games & activities, benches to sit, even private cabanas you can reserve (not sure if there is a cost) & of course a little shack to order food and wine! So remember earlier when I said eating in Pops Place was probably the best move we could have made that day, Well here are 3 reasons why! 1) We ordered the George's Greek Gyro Pita w/fries (a beef gyro with lettuce, tomato, onions & tzatziki wrapped in a pita) and.. OH. MY. GAWDDD It was so flippin' GOOD! It was so good, that I didn't even have time to snap a pic, let alone set it down after taking that 1st bite. It was complete perfection! 2) Chicken Strips & Fries from the kids menu w/a side of ranch.. Let's just say, The kids loved 'em. 3) We washed it all down w/a beautiful, crisp, perfect for a fall day, 2024 bottle of their finest ALBARIÑO. & it was, EXCELLENT!! After we sat & ate, let the kids get out all of their energy, the fun at Vega continued. From there, we headed to feed the livestock on the property (lettuce sold onsite for a few bucks). There were Chickens, Goats, Pigs, Emu's & Sheep, and the kids and myself had a blast feeding 'em. After that, we stopped off at one of their gift shops to browse all of the fun stuff. Of course, we got the kids their requested candy! The staff we interacted with while at Vega were all so kind, welcoming & made us feel apart of the extended Vega family. Because of this, we will definitely be coming back next time we pass through. So, & this is where YOU come in! The next time you are passing through Buellton, do yourself, your spouse and your kids, if you've got them, a HUGE favor: Come check out Vega Vineyard & Farm and tell me that I was right!
