Well hello stranger! Yeah you! Yes, I'm talking to YOU!! The one Reading this. Right here. Right now. So I gotta ask, Are you happy? And not just right now, but All Day Long? If the answer is... Great! That's what I like to hear! But If the answer is No. Then I just gotta ask. Why limit your happiness to just a certain time of day? Why does your happiness have to have limits, maybe set to just an hour or two in the late afternoon or early evening? Cause who just wants a boring "Happy Hour" anyway? Well luckily, all of your troubles have been solved! Cause at Fogo de Chão in 1000 Oaks, they've got Happy Hour, ALL DAY LONG Baby!!!! ***THIS REVIEW IS SOLEY FOR ALL DAY HH, NOT FOR THE BRAZILIAN AYCE BBQ & BUFFET*** Yeah baby, from open till close, a menu dedicated to making your stomach happy and your wallet even happier. Fogo de Chão's All Day Happy Hour has now entered the chat. -------------------------------- Back In March 2025, a date night was planned with our favorite date night peeps; you know who you are! My wife and I got there first, we grabbed a table and you know we got started with a specialty cocktail until our friends arrived. First Look: The outside was very elevated. The entrance was Grand. And everything inside (from the white table cloth, black napkins, fancy glassware and thoughtfully curated flatware that was methodically placed on the table), I could tell immediately that we were in for a treat and I couldn't wait to get to enjoy the HH eats & drinks. Being that everything was so reasonably priced on their HH menu, we all went to town and got a little bit of everything for everyone at our table to enjoy our night out on the town (see pics for descriptions). The food was tasty. Portions despite being off the HH menu were still good for sharing, and the drinks were all solid. The service was decent, I'm sure they would have been more attentive if were were eating the AYCE Brazilian BBQ, but all in all it was fine. We will definitely return one of these days to do the traditional meat on meat on meat bbq where they will keep bringing you hot meat on skewers until you flip that red No Thanks cardboard circle over on your table. But until then, we will for sure keep hittin their All Day Happy Hour cause being Happy is so much better than being Sad! So.... Who's ready to meeting up for Fogo's All Day HH!!!

We had a large part of 10 and we were able to make an easy reservation online for a Friday night. The staff were very welcoming. We dove right into the beautiful salad bar and enjoyed a wide variety of table cut meats. Everything was delicious and the attention given to our group was definitely noticed. Our water cups were always full. Clean plates provided before we even asked. And the delicious meats kept coming until we could eat no more. Definitely visit Fogo de Chao for a wonderful evening of food and fun.

Of the four Fogo de Chao locations I've been to, the one in Thousand Oaks is easily the nicest. Unfortunately, similar to my experience at the other locations, the customer service can't keep up with what the ambiance and price point demand of it. There was one Gaucho who was flat out rude, but for the most part, it just seems like employees aren't well trained. That being said, there are a few who stood out because they provided the type of service you expect when you're spending close to $100 per person. The salad bar was regularly refilled and the endless variety of meats were constantly offered to us, but this location does seem to over salt their meat. Fogo de Chao in Thousand Oaks is a great restaurant for special occasions. I can't wait to come back and feel the Picanha in my belly trying to pop the button off my jeans!

Prescott gave us some of the best service we've had at a restaurant. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel special. You can tell he really cares about his guests and takes pride in what he does. We'll definitely be back and will be asking for him again!

Every time we dine at this Fogo location, expectations are exceeded. The staff is friendly and approachable, the food is top notch, the service is flawless. Adam is such a wonderful part of the best of Fogo. He always takes the time to greet us and he checks on us to ensure our experience is always memorable. Today when I was seated, Adam was across the room, but he noticed us and gave us a big smile and a wave to welcome us back to Fogo. We continue to return week after week, knowing the staff always makes us feel welcome and they show that they truly care about their customers. Katie in the bar is also such an amazing part of this Fogo. She is attentive and anticipates our food and beverage needs before we need to even ask. Thank you Adam and Katie This is by far the best Fogo and it's clear- it's because of staff like Adam and Katie.

When I arrived, I was greeted and waited to place my order. An employee suggested that I use one of the kiosks instead. I noticed several customers waiting to order, so I decided to place my order directly through the Ubatuba website on my phone while inside the restaurant. After ordering, I waited quite a while. During that time, I noticed customers who had arrived after me receiving their orders first. Eventually, I heard my name called, went to pick up the order, and returned to my car. Once I got to my car, I realized the bowl I had received was not my order. I immediately returned to the restaurant to let the staff know. The employee took the bowl, threw it away, and said, "Yeah, I know you took her order. Next time listen for your name." I found that comment both unfair and unprofessional. This was clearly an honest mistake. I genuinely believed I had heard my name called. If I had intentionally taken someone else's order, I certainly would not have returned to correct the mistake. The employee then told me that I had placed my order through DoorDash and that my order was separated from the others. This was confusing because I did not place my order through DoorDash; I ordered directly through the Ubatuba website. If the company uses a third-party system behind the scenes, that is not something customers are made aware of during the ordering process. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What was disappointing was not the mix-up itself, but the way the situation was handled. A simple explanation or a courteous response would have gone a long way. Instead, I was made to feel as though I had done something wrong when I was trying to correct an honest mistake. I have always enjoyed Ubatuba and have had positive experiences in the past, which is why this interaction stood out. I hope situations like this are handled so future customers are treated with more professionalism and respect.

It's the kind of place you stumble into after a day on the water, which actually feels appropriate for a seafood-forward Brazilian restaurant. The problem is the food never quite matches the promise of the name. I lived in Brazil for a while, so I tend to chase those flavors when I see a Brazilian restaurant. This place tries, and the food is perfectly tasty, but authenticity is where things start to drift. The menu hits some expected notes. You'll see things like moqueca, picanha, bolinho de bacalhau, camarão ao alho, and caldo verde. On paper that all sounds promising. But the execution feels softened and Americanized, and the overall menu reads like a curated sample of Brazilian dishes rather than something that feels rooted in an actual Brazilian kitchen. Moqueca itself, the dish the restaurant is named for, should be a vibrant stew layered with dendê oil, coconut milk, cilantro, lime, and peppers, the kind of thing that hits you with aroma before the spoon even reaches your mouth. Here it's fine, but it lacks the depth and brightness that make the real version so memorable. Feijoada shows up as a special some days, which is good to see, but honestly it's the kind of dish that lives or dies by its ingredients and slow cooking. With good cuts and some patience I can make a better one at home. The biggest red flag on the entire menu, though, is what's missing. There is no Pão de queijo. For a Brazilian restaurant, that's almost an affront. Pão de queijo is practically the national snack; warm, chewy little cheese breads made with tapioca flour that show up everywhere from bakeries to gas stations in Brazil. Leaving it off the menu feels like opening an Italian restaurant and deciding bread isn't necessary. Portions are also very American. Plates are enormous. That might sound like a positive, but it often just means a lot of food gets wasted unless you pack it up. For those of us staying on nearby boats in the harbor, hauling leftovers around isn't exactly ideal. None of this means the restaurant is bad. The food is good enough, the seafood is solid, and the harbor setting is pleasant. But if you're coming here hoping to revisit the flavors of Brazil, it falls short. It feels more like a Brazilian-inspired restaurant designed for American expectations than a place that truly captures the cuisine. It's enjoyable. Just don't expect the Brazil you remember.

We brought two bottles of wine, and one of them needed a pretty aggressive decant. They brought out a decanter and had it opened right away as we sat down, which was a really nice touch. They also did a great job making the birthday feel special without making a big production out of it. The food was good, but it didn't completely wow me for the price. The best way I can describe it is that it still feels like a chain steakhouse. There's nothing wrong with that at all, and everything we had was cooked well, but I was missing that extra level of creativity or attention to detail that I'd expect at this price point. The atmosphere was pretty much what you'd expect from a nice steakhouse. Nothing that really stood out, but it was comfortable, had a good vibe, and was a great place to celebrate. I ordered the American Wagyu filet, and it arrived cold. Even worse, it was mostly fat and nearly impossible to eat. For a premium steak at this price point, I expected exceptional quality, but this was far from it. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked, and our Wagyu sushi appetizer took over 40 minutes to arrive. While our server was friendly and courteous, the overall service was incredibly slow--especially considering we arrived at 5:00 p.m. and the restaurant was nearly empty. We were the only table in the dining room for much of our meal. What really ruined the evening was that when another couple arrived, they were seated immediately next to us despite there being well over 20 empty tables throughout the dining room. They were loud, making it difficult to even hear the person I was with. It completely changed the atmosphere and took away from what should have been a relaxing dinner. With an entire dining room available, this seating decision made no sense. Mastro's has always been one of my favorite steakhouses, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Between the poor quality of the food, the long wait times, and the lack of attention to the overall dining experience, this visit simply did not live up to the standard I've come to expect from Mastro's.

I came here in December and was charged almost $70. Today, I ordered pretty much the same type of plate, and my total was about $37. That's a huge difference for what I believe were very similar orders. Now I'm honestly hesitant every time I come in because I don't know what I'm going to be charged. It leaves me wondering whether someone is looking at the amount of meat on the plate and making a subjective pricing decision instead of following a consistent process. If you're charging by weight, the process should be completely transparent. Weigh the meat separately, weigh the salad bar separately, and then show the customer the final weight and total price before charging them. That would eliminate confusion and ensure everyone is treated fairly. The inconsistency is concerning enough that I have considered contacting the County Department of Weights and Measures to better understand whether the pricing practices comply with consumer protection standards. I hope it doesn't come to that, because the food is excellent. At nearly $70, I could have gone across the street to an all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse and known exactly what I was going to pay. The food keeps me coming back, but the pricing needs to be fair, consistent, and transparent.

Honestly, one of the main reasons I still come here is because there aren't many KBBQ options in Ventura County unless you're willing to drive out farther.

This is the BEST FOOD in Simi! I have already drained my children's college funds eating their All…read moreYou Can Eat Dinner special on a weekly basis. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ANYWHERE ELSE. How would I describe the environment at Family Mongolia BBQ? To answer this question, ask yourself this... how would you describe the birth of your first child? There are not words in the English language that can accurately describe how I feel... My brother in-law and I attend this eatery AT LEAST once a week after a heavy Leg Day. This food nourishes our quads immensely. It is possible that ~30% of my body's lean muscle mass is compromised of beef from Family Mongolian BBQ. How would I describe the chefs? For Mozart, his instrument was the pen. For Michelangelo it was the chisel, for the Great Zosimo and Romeo... IT IS THE WOODEN COOKING STICKS. Every mountain of meat I've brought to them has been cooked superbly... it makes me emotional just to think about it. How would I describe the service? Every time I walk into this fine establishment I am consistently greeted by the beautiful and kind Nana. Once while walking to my table with my plate, I tripped and just when I thought all was lost... Nana, in Maguire-fashion, swooped in and caught me. She saved both my life and my dignity. Everyone in the room clapped. I looked up at her with tears in my eyes and graciously thanked her. Ever since that day... she has held a special place in my heart... and my will. In conclusion... to Family Mongolian BBQ.. to the beautiful staff... to the artisan chefs that craft the most incredible stir fry in the world... I would like to extend my most sincere praise and appreciation. Thank you for everything...

The ingredients are very high quality and the service is wonderful and friendly. I loaded up on lamb and beef, both of which were tasty and good quality. They even provide plastic gloves so you can press your meat! I always get turned off at the mall places where there is the nasty sign to not press your meat. My kids love it too - so many noodles!
