My party of 4 visited around 1pm on a Wednesday and were seated promptly. We opted for their $59 full churrasco experience. It included a variety of cuts and market table selection. The servers came around at a decent pace with the meats. They were overall seasoned and cooked well, but a few were on the overcooked end, even when asking for a rarer cut. My favorites were the Pichana (top sirloin) and Fraldinha (bottom sirloin). Overall a good place if you are looking for variety of options.

Always an excellent meal

This might be the nicest Fogo I've been to - huge, classy, right in the middle of the NY action. I've probably been 5 times to this location and as a single or two people have never had to wait more than 10 minutes even without a reservation. It is also more expensive than other Fogo locations - about $15 more per person but still an excellent value. People swoon over Vegas buffets but Fogo has them all beat hands down - the salad bar (market table) isn't just a filler, it really is the star with such a variety of absolutely excellent things to get you started. I went once when they had a lobster bisque but its been a long time and I desperately want it to be a regular thing - My favorite cut is the picanha - so I've been opting to forego the "full experience" and just get the picanha - they still bring it to your table and you can have as much as you like. It is a fun and impressive place - but take your time - you can really enjoy the experience or get in and out pretty quickly - as close to fine dining-fast food combo as you want to make it.

My husband and I love grabbing a late night dinner at their bar. There's always seats available either on the first floor or the upstairs bar. We often order the picanha sirloin salad comes with a variety of greens including avocado, eggplant, zucchini. The amount of steak varies a bit but it's always been filling! We also love the burger, the bone and queijo assado and love the option to grab an $8 wine or $10 cocktail.

This restaurant came highly recommended. It's known for its Brazilian steakhouse AYCE experience where they bring the cuts of meat straight to your table and cut it for you. My all time favorite cut of meat is their signature. Other than that, most other pieces were okay at best such as their ribeye and the rest weren't good at all. Some pieces were too tough to each, others like lamb were too lamb-y tasting with no flavor, the chicken was average taste. The salad bar was very disappointing, although the salad (ie ceasar salad) was good and had decent charcuterie pieces of good cheese and cured meats, it often ran out because everyone was only going for those an with good reason as that was really the only highlight of the salad bar. It took time for each cut of meat to come around and rare to get the one you actually want, I just waiting for the signature to come around each time and it only came around twice. Overall for $80ish per person it wasnt worth the hype for me. We were also seated on the third floor, totally separated from the first floor requiring us to go down stairs to get food and bring plates of food upstairs from first floor to second floor, passing all the people waiting for a table, to our second floor, or we could wait 5 minutes for elevator to come. We decided to get dessert and their molten chocolate lava cake was by far one of the worst I've ever had. The cake was too dry and cake texture and no molten chocolate inside the cake, the cake just had a hole for them to pour chocolate into. Not bad but definitely not my expectation of it. If I were to come again, it would be for regular plates of food and not the churrasco ayce and skip dessert. Keep in mind that while decor is nice, seating is very cramped and loud in the restaurant too

Fogo de chao is an absolutely incredible (and slightly gatekept) happy hour. The Brazilian steakhouse is well known, but happy hour is a special secret. The cocktails are $10-12, wines are $8, and beers are $6-8. The best part is that bar snacks are $6 and there's a full burger option for $10. Super prices for the location and beautiful, sophisticated ambiance. I ordered the passionate caipirinha which has silver cachaca, passion fruit, and lime ($10). It's fruity, bitter, and strong, an amazing combo. We also ordered the polenta fries, sliders, and empanadas which were all very good. Unfortunately, this is a 4 start review due to the service. Our bar tender was nice enough, but the service was really slow. It was hard to get his attention and we had to reach out multiple times instead of him checking in. It's possible that he had more tables/responsibility than we realized, this slowing him down, but it was noticeable.

Excellent service at the midtown Fogo de chao! Rudy was our waiter and was fantastic. Along the staff we encountered were pretty great. We went for Saturday brunch my brother was suggested to get the indulgent experience which included a large lobster tail and dessert in addition to the full experience I had the regular along with a mimosa that was so good. I took my two little yelpers and they enjoyed the salad bar and waffles the most. I'd say it's a nice place for special occasions I was full. The end is come back I didn't get to try a few selections only because I was full.

Made reservations to come here for my sister's birthday. This restaurant is truly for meat lovers. I've been to this chain restaurant before so it was nothing new to me. However it was my mom and sister's first time. The staff were extremely attentive and knowledgeable of all the meats, salad bar and drinks. The salad bar was nothing special, however they did have rice and beans at this spot which they didn't have in another chain I've gone to. I ended up ordering the bone marrow which I shared with my mom, one word - DELICIOUS. I was honestly surprised. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, however the tables were way too close to each other and walking around people in their chairs and waiters coming through was a bit tight. I felt like we were always on top of others. Everything was great once the bill came. During our meal, there was a waiter going around table to table making a drink and only asked if we were interested in one. The waiter never said it would be included in our bill. We thought it was a complimentary drink so it would have been nice to have known. Regardless of that, our waiter actually gave my sister a dessert free of charge for her birthday which I thought was extremely nice! For 4 people, our bill was close to $600 so it's definitely something to take into consideration if you're only looking for a quick meal. I'd definitely come back with a completely empty stomach!

I've been here a couple of times for dinner. This is my first time here for happy hour. They have a nice selection of drinks. $10 cocktails, $8 South American wines, and $5 beer, and a good selection of food menu from $6 bar bites / $10 picanha burger and many more to choose from. I ordered the picanha burger. It was very juicy and the bone. It comes with a long piece of bone and Chimichurri sauce .as you can see in one of the pictures. They are having a special surf and turf for $59. The servers are very nice and the ambience is elegant and cozy at the bar.

This is considered a plate for four on the shareable sides

The way this message is getting ignored just shows the customer service of this company. Gonna take this to the better business bureau. Went to Fogo de Chão Midtown Manhattan for my anniversary with my wife. Also was my best friends wedding anniversary as well. We ordered the Tomahawk steak for four -- they only brought out one small plate of mashed potatoes and two sweet plantains for the whole table. The waitress never came back once after serving the food. For the price and reputation of this restaurant, the service and portions were unacceptable. Terrible experience -- definitely not worth it.

Great spot with indoor and outdoor eating. Great happy hour pricing for a few drinks and appetizers. Would def return again.

Does this midtown Fogo have outdoor seating this fall and if they do, is it the whole experience where waiters come cut meat at your table? I'm trying to plan ahead for my 's birthday. Thanks!

What's the difference between lunch & dinner? I can only tell a price difference.

That's all I think also. We went for lunch. Same menu as dinner menu. Just very much cheaper.t just don't think people eat as much as dinner and lunch is easier on the employees. Not as busy.

Good red wines?

Yes

Is smoking allowed?

No it is not

Hello could someone tell me if they serve chicken sausage?

No they do not

Is the salad bar functioning normally or due to covid they have some restrictions or less stuff to choose from?

It was fully functional in New York in July.

Can we bring our own wine?

No, they don't do BYOB

Are you participating in restaurant week to go 2021?

We are! Here is a link to our take out Restaurant Week page https://fogo.olo.com/menu/fogo-de-cho-brazilian-steakhouse-21/products/32535721.

Yes

Not yet but the outside is gorgeous and you get the same service and delicious food.

We showed up and the place was buzzing with a line out the door. I checked in at the podium and hostess said table will be ready in 5 minutes. 2 minutes later, we the hostess to our table. Looking around everything was the old classic/stereotypical ideas of a what a great steakhouse should be and it did not disappoint. Sal was our waiter, he was friendly, professional and one look we could tell we were in the more than capable hands and nothing would be amiss. He told us about the specials, lunch or dinner menu options. The other wait staff worked like a team that has been together for years, checking on everyone in our section, delivering our orders, refilling our glasses, answering questions, bussing our table everyone with smooth and practiced motions. 2 Caesar salads, 1 8 oz filet w/baked potato, 1 surf and turf w/broccoli everything cooked and presented to perfection. For dessert, the legendary cheesecake with coffee and the baked Alaska. It was the perfect ending to a great meal. In this restaurant the waiters make everyone feel important and special and maybe it's a little pricey but it's New York and they have been around for a really long time so they knew what they are doing and are doing it GREAT.

The crab cake and stuffed shrimp were very good also but not quite as good as the steak. The ambiance of the whole vibe reminds me of an old movie, where important people from all walks of life go to have a good meal. Our servers where top notch also, If I had to nitpick, I would confess the Mac & Cheese was a little dry and lacked flavor.
