Terri has him looking so good each time, and he came out each time not traumatized and happy. Terri completed the grooming timely. She is patience and care about the pets who go to her. She works out of her apartment, and it is not fancy. Payment is cash or check only. My little guy is happy and safe going to her. After all, that is all it matters at the end of the day. Yes it's a small family business located in a small apartment. The service is so good and the price is sooo great. It's better service compare to some more expensive groomers and some chains around here, especially if you have an anxious pet. I will definitely come back. My puppy (Nala) is very energetic so I was kind of nervous in the beginning, but Terry reassured me that she would get Nala warmed up to the environment and she did! My two dogs have been going to FoPaws to see Terri for 6 years. I have a very anxious Morkie who will not allow her to use electric shears and she has to hand clip his entire body!!! She has a love for animals that is unmatched. I had been to two other groomers that told me my dog was too anxious to be groomed and I needed to sedate him. Terri had no problem with him. She spoke kindly. - After a not so great experience, and me not having cash (she did not mention she is cash only over the phone), she did not charge for the service. For those, this business earned the star. Negatives - This business is run out of a run down apartment. The photos of the animals from other reviews are either from the owners home after grooming, stock photos, or some previous business location. - apartment looks like that of a hoarder. Dust, fur, stuff, and caged/tanked animals everywhere. I could not walk through the "walkway" without knocking over things. - took my dog to the lone table in the back corner of the kitchen where the procedure began, and I had to hold down my 8lb dog for her to clip the nails... everything was done in such a hurry nobody got time to feel comfortable - she cut the quick and my dog was bleeding all on the table - my dog and I were both completely horrified and uncomfortable with everything from the filth, to the blood to the brevity... it was like a 10 min trauma-pick-me-up. Terri is absolutely fantastic. I cannot recommend her services enough! We're new to Davis and are protective of our two little fur babies. Our terrier mix rescue, Max, had a great experience with his last groomer and so we wanted to make sure that he felt comfortable here too. Terri was so gentle with him, and gave him so much love! She introduced herself to Max and let him get used to her before she began grooming him. He's a sweetheart but very nervous, and so her patience and calm professionalism was so important! If you have a nervous, scared, or shy dog or cat, then Terri is the best one to put your pet's mind at ease. She does a great job with grooming; Max looked so handsome and his face was perfectly trimmed! Her pricing is reasonable too. We paid $45 for a full small dog grooming service. Thank you Terri! Terri is absolutely amazing!! I am always so nervous when taking my long hair Persian mix cat to the groomer because of all the horror stories I've heard. It came to a point where I couldn't keep up with the mats in her fur and I needed help. I expected every groomer to recommend a complete shave down (which I didn't want the first time I went) at an insane price. When I called Fo Paws I was so pleasantly surprised. Terri recommended we try and brush out what we could and cut what we couldn't at an extremely affordable price. She also is completely fine with you staying and watching/helping which made me trust her very much. When I knew I was going to be out of the country for 2 months I called to make a last minute appointment to shave my cat. They were completely booked but somehow managed to squeeze me into the schedule and saved me a lot of stress. I must say... I was shocked for several reasons. First, she works out of her apartment. Second, it's crammed in there with other animals in cages ready for whatever. Third, she clipped my cat's nails so fast, with it being her first time ever letting shy stranger touch her period. My Tia is a brand new cat because of these nails gone! My family was in shock because it took a few days to see my cat come back more happier and docile. Only 10 bucks! 1 min flat we were done and outta there. We will be back! Cash only. read more

At first I was really hesitant getting my dog groomed here. It was actually my first time getting my dog professionally groomed ever & I'm glad I made the choice to come here. Today I brought my angora rabbit in for a shave. Terri and her husband did a wonderful job and Oreo looks fantastic. Shaving angora rabbits is a risky procedure as their skin is thin and mats can be very tight, and stress can cause rabbits hearts to arrest. In the past, having my rabbit shaved has given me immense anxiety because of the risk. Terri is such a kind person, clearly loves animals, and treated Oreo with such loving care. Her prices are beyond reasonable and I will certainly be bringing Oreo back for her for her next shave. Terri is absolutely awesome, she's been grooming my 2 dogs for almost a year now and they always look ridiculously cute after every appointment. My puppy has seen Terri since she was tiny and she's 8 months old now and the pup absolutely adores Terri, she's always super happy and excited whenever we go in for our appointment. Terri and her husband are very accommodating and frequently go out of their way to help fit me into an appointment that works best even on short notice. Yesterday I gave her a call to set up an apt for a face trim for my senior dog ( her bangs were too long so I tried to fix it at home and I messed up). Terri told me to come in the next day even though it was a saturday and I'm sure she was fully booked, she fixed up my horrible job nicely and she didn't even charge me for it. I also love that she grooms from her house so it's a less distracting/scary environment for pups that are not comfortable with lots of loud noises/other dogs. I find her prices very reasonable as well, my labradoodle puppy is usually quoted $100+ at other places but Terri charges much less than that. I'm already dreading the day I have to leave Davis cuz that means I have to find a new groomer for my dogs, but as long as I'm here I'll continue to take them to Terri for sure. read more

Terri and Tom are amazing! They took us on short notice and were fast and gentle with both my moms matted elderly cat, as well as my neurotic Chihuahua. They have adopted pets of their own that they clearly love, and they do charity work for local shelters. They work from their home and allow you to hang out while they groom, and are very pleasant to talk to. Their prices are BEYOND reasonable and they make your furry family members feel safe and loved (even after being hissed and snarled at the whole time by our crazy critters!) Great service, amazing job, my pups always turn out looking like my little models. I've been to a few other places and where they do a good job as well but sometimes their ears get cut. Not here! They always look amazing and no issues whatsoever. have four too...so she's great at accommodating them! Great! I was having scheduling chaos so called at the very last minute. Terri gave my dog a nail trim on short notice even though she was actually already done with her work day. He is high strung but calmed down really quickly. She was really fast and accurate (I've had other groomers cut his nails too short which is very painful), and the price was so reasonable that I think she should charge more.
