I love this place!! I needed an oil change and I've always gone to the dealership (with a coupon), but this time I didn't have any coupons. I yelped local places and saw this place had good reviews. I called and made an appointment for Saturday at 10a. I got there around 9:45a and he wasn't in yet. In fact, the shop wasn't open at all. Right when I was walking up, this young man asked me if I was there for an oil change and I told him yes. He introduced himself as Nathan and he helps out in the shop. We chatted until Franco got there. Once there, I was offered coffee, tea and donuts. I denied them all...mmm donuts...but I had just come from the GYM! :( Anyway, he took my car right away, I filled out a form, then maybe 15 mins later he came out and let me know what they were doing and recommendations. About another 30 mins later he let me know they were all done and took me into his office to pay. He let me know my battery is going to die soon and I should really change it. He also told me he has a mobile guy that can replace cracked windshields and he could get a quote for me if I wanted it. I told him I planned to fix it once I was done paying the car off in a few months. Anyway, overall really good service! Oh and I got a call from him today (5 days after the oil change) to check on my car and make sure everything is running well. Oh! And they have a card X amount of oil changes and the next one is free...that's pretty cool. BTW, it's a little hard to find. There are two drive ways...one to go in and one to go out. When you go in the first driveway, go all the way through and loop around to the other side and they're almost all the way at the end...hope that makes sense and helps! read more

I arrived to this place around 9:00 wanting to get my oil changed and get my car inspected. I've read all the great reviews here so my expectations were pretty high. The place wasn't open, so I decided to call.. No answer. I left and grabbed some breakfast. Within 15-30 minutes I had received a voice mail from Francisco. He said he was just returning my call and that he was sorry for the inconvenience. I drove back to the place to get my oil changed. Upon arrival I was greeted with a big smile and a few apologies about how he had to pick up some parts. The oil change was fast! Great price too. He even gave me a print out of what needed to get done as well for free. He's very educated, knowledgable, and speaks nothing but honesty. Super friendly service. Top of the line. Will be coming here for years to come. Thank your yelp, for introducing me to such a wonderful place!! read more

FnP Auto truly lives up to all these 5 star ratings! My Chevrolet Tahoe needed a bunch of work and Francisco clearly & succinctly walked me through the process. In addition to his expertise as an auto mechanic, he is an EXCELLENT communicator. He outlined exactly what needed to be done by visually showing me why a problem needed attention. All prices were reasonable and fair. In all he replaced/repaired my: - AC Belt & Tensioner/Pulley - Front Brake Pads & Rotors - Water Pump (w/ gaskets & thermostat) - Brake Fluid Flush - Primary Tensioner & Idler Pulley - Primary Belt - Front Brake Hoses Francisco is ethical and a man of good character. His respectful demeanor, high level communication skills, & mechanical expertise will bring me back again & again! read more

Wow first timer! My visit for an oil change was great! I was greeted right when I entered the shop. Francisco was the one to greet me! Remember my car and my needs. Oil change was fast and amazing. He did even extra work! Showed me some photos of other parts that needs alittle fixing. Thanks! Will definitely be coming back and definitely spreading the word about FnP! read more

After a disappointed visit to McKenna BMW, where they wanted to charge me almost $200 for a nonrefundable diagnostic test (this is all to replace my daylight/ park lamp bulb) I decided to Yelp some local auto repair shop. I called one place and the guy promised to call me back with a price quote but he never did. I should have known since he didn't bother to take my number and just referenced his caller ID. I'm glad I decided to Yelp on...because that is when I found FNP Auto. Francisco was informative from the beginning and gave me two separate quotes (parts and labor) and was able to see me the same day! When I got there he came out to greet me by my name, offered me something to drink and free WiFi access while I waited. They took my car in right away. He estimated about an hour wait and kept his promise; occasionally checking in on me to see if I was okay. When the repair was done he gave me a Yelper discount and went over the service. Besides the replacement of my of my light bulb, they raised my car and took pictures of my front and rear brake pads, checked my tire pressure and the quality of my tires. He was very thorough in explaining how much life my brake pads had left and upcoming services I should expect. Probably the best car service I've ever received! I will be recommending them to my family and friends. Thanks Francisco!!! read more

After a couple bad experiences with other mechanics, I relied on my dad and brother to take care of any car related issues. Eventually, there were some issues that even they could not fix, so I called FNP auto to make an appointment for suspension related issues. I was pleasantly surprised by this cozy little shop-- Francisco was very warm and friendly and addressed any concerns that I had, no matter how poorly phrased they sounded due to my lack of car expertise. I left my car with him for an inspection and test drive, and he called me back to discuss the problems. My little car had a LOT of accumulated issues it needed taken care of, and I made arrangements to bring in my car two weeks later. If your car needs work done Monday, there is even a convenient overnight key drop-off for you to leave your car parked Monday morning. More than a month later, very happy with the work done on the car. It no longer violently shakes like it's going to take off like a rocket, and my rides are a lot smoother and less bumpy. This is exactly how my car was running three years ago--also, work is Dad and Brother approved. It's really hard to find an honest, reliable mechanic, and I'm very grateful to have found FNP auto! read more

I had an EXCELLENT experience here. I felt the owner Francisco was very thorough he explained everything. He showed me photos of the inside of my engine. I honestly can say no other mechanic has ever showed me the inside of my car with photos. He was also very good with his prices. I felt that he was really honest and really trying to help me. I will return so he can take a look at my car since we are in testing mode trying to find where the oil leak is coming from. When I got into my car inside waiting for me was a Christmas card from him and his family. They made it feel really personal like I just met my forever mechanic to all of my vehicles. Thank you Francisco great personal service. read more

Best customer service and a very honest shop! My wife and i called asking for an estimate on my LED installation for my 2000 BMW 328ci, was quoted a very GOOD price considering the labor and it turned out to be more labor than expected but Franco kept to his word and stuck with the first price he gave me over the phone. He did a clean job and went out of his way to make sure the wiring is all properly hidden and tucked away and even shaved down a few pieces so that it would fit snug and look flush on my car! Franco really takes pride in whatever he is working on and takes the job on as it were his own. Thank you FNP AUTO! I can't think of another mechanic I would go to other than this place. If your knowledge base on cars is zero to none, going to a mechanic is much like going to the dentist. You never really go unless you have to and your willing compromise comfort until its unbearable. Once they pop that hood open for inspection you cross your fingers and hope they keep the list short and the cost low. If "getting what you pay for" applied to all mechanics then I can walk away with a peace of mind; however, that isn't always the case. I believe people will pay for a service they trust and people are extremely comforted by knowing they are getting the right deal. Francisco serves people in a manner that offers just that, peace of mind and the right deal. He will email photos of the items that need to be taken care of and explain any questions so that his customers can make an informed decision as to whether they want the service done to their vehicle or not. There aren't any scare tactics or persuasive added services; just great customer service with integrity. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new mechanic. read more

I went there because they've excellent yelp rating. I called in advanced so when I walked in the owner shook my hand and remembered my name and what I was there for. He asked me to help myself with some coffee, water, and other snacks. The oil change was quick and up on check out he showed me the pictures of the minor and major issues with my car. He didn't hard sell me any extra services or products. I felt welcomed and will definitely be going there on the regular. read more

So about 1.5 years ago I went to a local mechanic for a simple oil change and they PUT THE FEAR IN ME about my rear brakes being critically low/thin. "Low enough" to the point they wanted me to come in that weekend! I felt they were pulling my chain so I looked elsewhere for a 2nd opinion. Fortunate enough to find FNP and meet the owner. He said I had about 10,000 more miles to go. Well, fast forward to today.... Again, 1.5 years later, I just got my brakes done and in good time with FNP. Truly nice to be a woman who can feel their mechanic is being honest and straight with her. This is the way Franco makes me feel and he has won my repeat business and loyalty!... FNP Auto - Waiting area - Auto Repair Near Me - Stanton, California

So I've been using yelp to read reviews for years. I've always come so close to writing a review about an awful restaurant or an amazing dining experience. But, I never get around to it. Whether for good or bad, I just didn't want to give out my yelp review virginity to just anyone. Well, I found someone to give it up to. And I didn't get to eat anything. An auto shop??!? This is my first review? I can't believe it myself. First, let me admit the bad. The shop was hard to find at first. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to park in front or find the bay in the back. I guess this will only be an issue for first-timers. (Answer: park in front, they will drive the car around back.) I can also add that they didn't have a TV in the waiting room, but I didn't have to wait long at all, so that kind of cancels out. They seem pretty new, so maybe that TV is coming any day now. Ok, the good. The service is amazing. Franco knows how to build rapport and trust quickly. You'll feel like you have a best friend who works on cars and is offering his services to you. I recently finished my manufacturers' warranty and got a little fed up of having to go to the Ford Dealership. I never trusted them. One trip, they would say my brakes were terrible. I'd get a report card saying my brakes failed. Being a cheap guy, I pass on the repair. Next oil change and service, now my brakes get a Green passing grade on the report card... What the hell? What's my point? Those days are over. Franco gives it to you straight, and you can tell he wants what's best for you car. He found some issues with my brake fluid, and did some other diagnostics free of charge. He shows you his test strips, and also a print out of how your car did. This is nothing like a jiffy lube experience, where every fluid you have needs to be replaced or else your car will explode if you drive one more mile. It means so much to have a mechanic you can trust. Franco doesn't play at it. He's not a salesman, he's a guy who loves cars. I almost felt guilty for taking up so much of his time, and all he did was charge me the 21.99 for the service. I have some pending issues, AC problem, and a squeak coming from my wheels. Once daddy gets his next pay check, he'll be sure to bring the car in to FnP to have those issues taken care of. FNP thank you thank you thank you. You've restored my trust in humanity. read more

I went in for an oil change and couldn't be more satisfied with the actual service and customer service. Really friendly and sincere owner, explains everything in detail, asks u if u have any questions, tells u what services your car may need in the future which is really helpful for a single gal who knows nothing about nothing about her car. And if that wasn't enough to make my experience really positive, they have two adorable puppies that will greet u upon your arrival named Bella and Nigel. Nigel is my favorite but don't tell Bella. read more

I really appreciated the time and patience that came with the service provided by Francisco at FNP Auto. I brought my car in for an oil change but also asked if he can check out some other things on my car, such as the shocks making a lot of noise. After the oil change, I met with him in his office to go over the findings and what needed to be done. I've never gone to a shop where the mechanic will take pictures to thoroughly explain and show to me what repairs needed to be done. Because who remembers all that stuff when they just verbally spit all those details to you? Even better is that I got an email at the end of the week with the quote, prioritized list, and the pictures. I just moved to Garden Grove this year, and I'm so glad to have found a professional, friendly, and thorough auto shop in the area! Being a Yelper will also give you some perks here at FNP! read more

Francisco is one of the few mechanic that I feel actually engage with you. He is well trained and goes through all the repairs your car needs and list the price along with if urgent or non-urgent repairs. Him and his wife, Pearl, are just really good human beings in general, always going out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Service - Service here at FnP is top-notch. He is meticulous detail in his work and he shows when you get your repair here. No matter what you bring your in for (oil change, repairs, and so on...) he gives you a full run down on what's happening to your car. He will take pictures and thoroughly explain to you why and if you need to repair it or hold off on it, he also email you the pictures too! Price - Nothing much to say about price but it is equally fair. His price for is honestly more decent than other places I know. The only thing that is pricy is the parts you pay, but than again if you don't want your car in again do not buy cheap parts, it is as simple as that! Customer Service - Again this place go above and beyond to cater to their guest/customer. There's also coffee, tea, water, sometimes donuts and snacks provided when you wait. Best thing here, free wifi AND a basket of chargers for all phones, I mean I do not know why other place do not follow this practice. This place is pretty much my go-to place for anything related to my cars. When I came here a couple of months back he takes walk-ins and all, now a days his been extremely busy so it's best to make an appointment, plus it's just helps them out. If you need a good rundown on your vehicle and need a good repairs, call this place! read more

Honesty is the best policy! This has been the best reliable auto shop we've ever come across. We initially came to get a sensor fixed and now we come in for just about every auto problem/maintenance. FNP have gone over and beyond with solving our auto problems and have the best prices not to mention the snacks they have out for their customers, the bonus wipers for first time customers, and their oil change program! I can't stress enough how Francisco is so honest with what's ACTUALLY wrong with your vehicle and is probably one of the most trusted knowledgable mechanics out there. read more

Hands down, this place lives up to its reputation on yelp! The reviews are as real and honest as Francisco is. I came in for a diagnoses on a used g35 and was immediate greeted by Francisco, which is rarely for your local auto shop owner to do. I was surprised by the initiative he took for the customer services as he broke down what was included in the diagnosis. I left the shop. During that time, I was email pictures on what he test for the car. Afterwards, he called me in to tell me that the diagnosis is done. Francisco is truly your honest and nice mechanics. Not only did he wait for me after business hours but he also took his time to explain to me what's wrong with the car and what services should be done. He took about an hour after business hrs just so I can be aware of the issues at hand while he could have just took my money and said here's the paperwork that follows with it. BUT NO, he genuinely took his time and went step by step of what is causing this issue. He told me he will sent me a quote and the prioritize the importance of what maintenance is. Truly, he live up to his standards and sent me the email at 12 at midnight. He took his time and actually did not procrastinate and made sure he kept his promises. Will be going to this auto shop as my local auto shop from now on! read more

#1 MECHANIC IN ORANGE COUNTY! Had an appt for 9:30 AM when the shop opened and received a very warm welcome at the door from owner Francisco. He personally brewed a fresh cup of coffee for me as soon I walked in. Francisco and I discussed all the issues and concerns with my vehicle. After taking a test drive with him he drove me to my house so I wouldn't have to wait in the lobby while him and his team conducted an inspection of the vehicle. In an hour I received an email of a dozen close-up pictures of my vehicle's parts that needed servicing and Francisco and I discussed every single detail of the inspection that was done over the phone. The inspection itself was extremely thorough and Francisco went above and beyond to ensure that I understood what was going on. The pricing for all the work was very reasonable and competitive to most shops. If you're looking for the best customer service and a mechanic that genuinely cares about their customers, no doubt I recommend Francisco and his team and FnP Auto. No mechanic will spend as much time and effort or take detailed pictures and diagrams of your vehicle so you see everything first hand the way Francisco does! read more

Just took my sister's car to FNP yesterday for the first time. They did a great job and at a reasonable price too. I sure don't miss the stealership anymore. I made the appointment with Francisco a week ago, he ordered parts and get everything ready for the execution yesterday. I like how Francisco was calm, collected, while we were freaking out because sister's car had a problem. No car, no going anywhere these days. I like how Francisco showed me the overall, comprehensive review of sister's car via his computer monitor. It reminds me of my Endodontist, showing my teeth x-ray like that. Very cool. Compare to other places, I don't know if they check it or not, only have to take their words for it. Then the next day, something fails. Where is the checking there? So happy with FNP. A Yelp Check in saves you $ 10 too if over $ 60. Pretty cool to me! read more

SUCH a great shop. No, I'm not a relative and no, I'm not that guy that compliments every place on Yelp. I'm quite the muscle car enthusiast and I am VERY particular about where I bring my cars. I found FNP Auto on Yelp just as you did, while searching for local shops since I'm new to the area. I brought my daily driver in (a GMC Jimmy) for servicing on the windshield wiper system, installing a brand new key ignition & some work on my faulty gas gauge. Dropped the truck off overnight after work. Received a call and an email from Francisco (he's the "F" in "FNP") to let me know that the car had been received and that they would be getting started on it immediately. I had to make a trip out of town while this car was in the shop. While out of town, I received a detailed email regarding what needed to be done, what didn't need to be done and what I should expect to pay for the services. Also accompanied by the detailed email were attached images of each part Francisco was addressing to show what he was talking about. SUCH a huge help to be shown a leak or a broken part so you know you're not just having a mechanic tell you somethings broken to inflate the bill. Francisco would not start on the repairs until I had given him approval which a lot of places DON'T do which can lead to a huge bill that you didn't approve prior. Picked up the car, Francisco addressed all questions I had for him and went over a few other repairs he saw that should be fixed in the near future after he gave the car a free inspection while on the rack. VERY impressed with the quality of work & customer service offered here. I will be a return customer as long as I'm living i the area. read more

This auto shop is amazing. I live all the way in long beach and i go here just for a routine oil change. Their service goes pass reliable, providing actual assessments with awesomely fair rates, the only place i really feel comfortable taking my vehicle to. Environment is is very welcoming with the addition of available wifi and some snacks for the waiting room. I feel to over stay, but i usually have a busy day. Franco is one of the most competent people i know personally, and Pearl an astute equal which compliment each other. I suggest everyone should take their auto to get serviced at F n P Auto, at least once. Don't miss out on a good thing. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I searched for an auto shop in my local area and FNP Auto was the first one that popped up. After reading some of the reviews, I decided to try it. I WAS AMAZED. The location may seem a little unassuming, but what goes on inside is awesome. I called and asked about a service and received an e-mail with a quote for service within two hours. I made an appointment, missed said appointment, and was accepted the next day without a second thought. Francisco called me through out the process to update me. He took several photographs of an oil leak under the car and brought it to my attention. Mind you this leak has been there for a while, and I JUST had the damn car inspected by Ford for a warranty, and they told me NOTHING about the leak. So they either completely missed it (which I find hard to believe) or they didn't tell me with the hope of making more money. Francisco is professional, kind, and straight to the point. FNP Auto has earned all my auto care business for sure. read more

Had a CSL bumper installed by Francisco. He was able to manage keeping all the OEM parts that came with the original bumper with the new CSL bumper. Felt great not having to give up my reinforcement bar behind it just for looks. The bumper looks great and fits nice and snug to my car. Although he does not do car paint jobs, he had referred a very experienced friend do the paint job for my bumper (the paint was on point and the shop was called DND right next door.) He was very accommodating to our needs, and definitely satisfied our expectations the 2nd time around. I also uploaded pictures! THANKS FNP! read more

Fantastic customer service, great deals, honest people, and thorough work. I must say this place exceeded my expectations as it's not your average auto shop. Called FNP Saturday morning and was able to get an appointment immediately for an oil change. Francisco and his two extremely sweet (and well kept) dogs greeted me, offered me water/tea/coffee, and then got right to business. It wasn't a quick in an out job but it was well worth the wait for them to do a thorough check, with my permission of course. They never did anything I didn't want to do and always asked before making a move. Francisco was very professional and personally showed me everything they found to be in need of repairs and or upgrades (took pictures too). He even explained in detail the functionality of each area of my car (because I asked) and never pressed me to make any decisions to tack on additional services. He was also super awesome enough to get quotes for front and back struts (which were leaking oil from age and use) for me as well as a body shop that could fix up my rusty tire plates. He said that if I were to decide on changing my struts with them, it would take a couple days so he'll give me a free rental during the time I'm getting it fixed. Overall I had a great experience here and I can see why the ratings were so high (was a little skeptical at first but their prices and services and tried and true). I will come again! read more

Took my Subaru WRX into to look for a vacuum or boost leak (yes they test it here; however, they use a smoke machine which I am fine with). I first met Robert at the front where he assisted me with everything I needed including free donuts and snacks. Fransisco came out shorty after and sat with me to discuss my car and any other issues I had with it. This made me feel very safe and comfortable. Fransisco would frequently come out to give me updates, which was amazing since I wasn't sure how long it would be. Ended up having other issues on the car hat Francisco recommended, but did not pressure me into anything. He even advised me ways I can do it myself since I like working on my own car. I would recommend his place to anyone who wants to hand over heir car to professionals who will treat your car as their own. I will be coming back to get all my problems fixed. was yelpsearching for a cheap oil change in my area and found this place. 5: francisco is very knowledgable and thorough. showed me digital photos he took of all the engine parts that needed attention, including parts i didnt know existed. at first i thought this was to get more business out of me, as my civic has gone 10 yrs without any significant problems. but i was reassured that was not the case as he suggested i actually go back to the mechanic i had my 200K mile service to see what they could do given they just serviced the car 3 months prior. reminds me of that old 80s commercial "if you dont get help here please get help somewhere." ok corny. 3: the layout of the place is somewhat confusing. first it's kind of in a strip mall for automotive services; they've moved to the first shop on the left. second, if you enter into the lobby and both side doors are closed (to shut out the noise), or even if they're open for that matter, you don't really know what to do as there aren't really any signs to direct you. such was also the fate of a customer who came in a few minutes after me. 3: francisco said he'd send me the photos to show my previous mechanic, but they never came through. prolly just forgot as i'm sure he's a busy guy. 3: bit of a wait, but he offered me coffee. read more
