I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for years, as it is nearby. Friends have said not to go there for a number of reasons. I will now join them in longer going there. I went for my regular oil/filter change before a long trip in my RV. I asked if they could check the brakes, as I noticed a sign about brake checks. They said they could only check the front brakes. They said they checked them and they were fine. They did NOT check them and they were NOT fine! On my trip in Oregon, I felt I needed to have them checked AGAIN. I needed all new rotors and pads (complete brake job) The worst issue was the front! When I checked the paperwork on Jiffy Lube, it said they did NOT check. I asked them twice and they confirmed that they checked the front and they were good. I did stop by to talk to the manager upon my return. He had just left. Supervisor was not helpful. Horrible that they would lie like this, knowing how dangerous it could be with all the driving, mountains, passes. Could have been really bad! read more

I normally change my own oil, but I somehow managed to strip my oil drain plug this time. I took my vehicle to Jiffy Lube on Westminster and brought along a new drain plug that I had ordered online. I also brought my own Honda oil filter and asked if they could use it. They said no problem and even gave me a $3 credit for supplying my own filter. The oil tech installed the new drain plug without any issues. I was very impressed with the friendly customer service, especially George. When I was getting into my vehicle to leave, several of the oil techs said goodbye and wished me a nice weekend. That was a nice touch and definitely stood out. I also had a $15 coupon that I downloaded online, which made the price even better. They even reset that annoying "Service Due Now" alert on my dash. Very pleased with the entire experience. Technician Johnhie deserves an A+ for excellent customer service! He was professional, knowledgeable, and--most importantly--honest. He performed a diagnostic test, quickly identified the issue as the TCV, and let me know right away that it was still under warranty. He provided a printout of the results and advised me to take my car to the dealership for repair. No paper work was provided. 0/10 Johnny is a horrible manager and was trying to put the blame on me when he was obviously trying to scam me. I was told that they don't accept coupons, when I went for an oil change, and I contacted a customer service rep who basically said sorry, try again next time. Also, good luck getting what's advertised with a Signature service - cursory checks, no vacuuming, window cleaning, etc. Afterwards, there was oil on my driveway. Update: Customer service responded after multiple emails, and I was told that I would get a refund for the overcharge if I met the manager at a specific date/time. Of course, the manager conveniently wasn't there, and the backup person said that he couldn't resolve the issue. I highly recommend not using this business. read more

Been coming to this location for about three years for basic oil change and minor services. I don't drive that much so my car doesn't need a lot. Six months or so ago when I was there, they told me I was going to need shocks in the near future. I took it under advisement, but did not have them replaced right then. Three weeks ago, I went in for an oil change, fully expecting to need shocks. I asked them specifically to check my tires' wear and tear. Only if they tell me, my tires were fine and in good condition, there was zero mention about shocks. I found that odd about the shocks. Happy about the tires. Fast forward to this morning, and I am a block or so away from my house when my tire literally suddenly flattens like a pancake. I get out and look and it looks like it exploded from the inside out. I consider taking it to Jiffy Lube because that's where my car has been serviced now but instead I decided to go to someplace closer to home because it's been raining all day. They put my car up on the racks call me out and show me that every single one of my tires looks like it's about to do exactly what the first one did. There are worn out tears in the walls of my tires. Not vandalism - wear and tear. My tires are original on my 2015 car I have 58,000 miles. I have no idea when tires were out that's why you take it somewhere that you think you can trust. Jiffy Lube could've easily caused me to be in an awful accident by telling me that those tires were fine when they are clearly worn out. They LITERALLY rotated those tires and told me they were FINE! This is a cautionary tale, especially to single women who don't have a man in their life that they can ask. I know that sounds sexist, but in my case there's nobody I could ask man or woman. I trusted the people at Jiffy Lube and they seriously let me down. I will never darken the door of that Jiffy Lube on Westminster Avenue again. I would encourage everyone to think twice before going there. PS- owner reached out to tell me my tires were in great shape just three weeks before this happened (when I darkened their doors for the last time). He blamed four tires awful shape- to the point you could stuck a finger in the wall of every tire in multiple places- on the freeway & the way I drive. For reference, I drive a little putt-putt of a car about 5 miles a day M-F to take a friend for cancer treatment. Not the freeway. Not my driving. Came in for an oil change and 300+ dollars later realized I became one of those dumb girls that got swindled into thinking I needed a whole bunch of other stuff done to my car when another mechanic had checked and said everything else but the oil change was unnecessarydefinitely lesson learned. It sucks when you can't trust "professionals" to have your best interest especially when you're a young girl. Very long wait times, they do more then oil changes, so if someone wants extensive work in front of you, you wait for them to replace spark plugs when you only want an oil change. . If I could rate this business with negative stars, I would. the mechanics here are not trustworthy. They are not efficient and they kept my car for nearly 2 hours, trying to force me into paying more for problems they were making up. Coincidentally, there were two other older women who came in together just after me, and ironically enough seemed to have had the very same problem as I did! To figure... None of us believe that that was actually possible. I have a very reliable mechanic who just happened to be closed today, so I stopped in for a quick oil change at Jiffy Lube down the street, and I regret it more than I can communicate. The only positive about this experience was meeting these two women, and being able to advocate for them and against the malpractice going on at this location. The workers were incredibly, rude, dismissive untrustworthy the upsell that they insisted I suddenly were not required when I pushed back and told them to return my car to me in the state that I had brought it so that I could have everything checked by my mechanic, it was not until I threatened to call the cops. There was any sense of compliance in returning my car to me. Do not stop here by any means, and as for the third car of women who pulled in right after hearing the conversation I had with the only person who had authority to ring up the charges. I am so glad that you left before being bamboozled as well, what a gross abuse of customers. Absolutely appalling. Every last person on that shift should be fired. There were five people standing around twiddling their thumbs, laughing making jokes who could not have been older than 20 years old, and after doing nothing for over an hour and a half two of them clocked out of their shift and left. They were useless anyway. I do not, trust that my car was left in a condition that is safe and I will be taking it to my mechanic to check for any tampering. All I can say is BEWARE. Nothing Jiffy about it! 82 minutes to do an oil change? One car halfway completed ahead of me. Is it just a bad arrival time on my part? I parked at 0945 and turned over my 2011 VW Golf TDI keys. 15 minutes later it is driven in. 10 minutes after that it is driven in a bit further. At 1045 I asked about the estimated completion time and I was told 15 minutes. That actually seemed to be when they really started working on my car. 22 minutes later...done. I paid my invoice while the technician was still working on the oil filter. Painful. read more

Went here for a simple Uber inspection everything was going great but while driving back home I notice my brakes wasn't working properly. Suddenly my brakes light, check engine, and power steering lights came on at this point I was scared but close to home. Once I got home I notice brake fluid leaking from my rear right tires and called jiffy lube, they told me it's because my shoe brakes were worn out and that they would need to check the car to see the problem. After arguing with them back and forth about the incident they decided to send over a tow truck but you can tell they weren't happy to send it over. They repeatedly kept asking me if I have AAA. They give me a quote of 200-400 dollars to fix the problem. The next day I had a gut feeling that something is not right so I waited for the auto shop that does oil/brake service next to my house, just to have a second opinion. The mechanic there told me that I was driving without a drum that's why my car was leaking brake fluid. That's it's dangerous to drive like this. I called back jiffy lube shown them the pics. First thing they told me was for me to drive back and they would take a look at it. I told I'm not driving back an hour without my drum and it's not safe to drive without it. Again they ask me about my AAA. At this point I'm really piss and told them straight out that I don't trust them working on my car because they are negligence to my safety and my car. I'm not paying for any damaging done to the brakes or for any tow truck. After waiting for them to check their camera and such they finally decided to reimburse me for the damage of $276 the cost to replace my drum. I was lucky enough to get a reimbursement by trusting my gut instance because if I were to tow my car back there do you think they would tell me that I was driving without drum....maybe or maybe not. One star because they did reimburse me for the cost of replacing my drum. If I could rate it without no star would I....maybe or maybe not Would I go back here heck no, would I recommend this place heck nooooo!!!!!!!!! Beware you are warn !!!!!! read more

Yesterday I had my oil changed and transmission serviced. My last service was done at this Jiffy Lube loacation in Westminster but since I've moved to Whittier, I took my truck to a different company for my service close to my house. When they evacuated the old oil from my truck they found nearly 11 quarts of oil. This means when I took my truck to Jiffy Lube last time they never changed my oil and just added new oil on top of the old oil way over filling and could have caused significant damage to me engine. Went here because Groupon had a deal for this location, I normally do valvoline but you can only purchase a Groupon for them twice a year so I gave Jiffy Lube a shot. I will never go to a jiffy lube again after going to this one. My oil change light continues to come on every time I start my car, I went to put on my windshield wipers and there was absolutely no fluid it was bone dry. Valvoline always fills that up for me and makes sure the oil service light is no longer on before I leave. I also got a tire rotation and I feel like since you're not actually in the car like how you are at valvoline, jiffy lube claims to do services but doesn't. That's how I honestly felt. There's a window where you can watch but should I really have to do that? I had such a bad experience here and regretted trying them out. read more

I came to get my oil changed and they were very helpful, topped off my coolant which I had been needing to do, fixed my tire pressure and all for a good price. My car legit hasn't felt this good driving in months. I went to Jiffy Lube on Springdale and Westminster to get an oil change. By the time I was done, I had been told that I needed front tires, rear brakes, a new battery and a transmission fluid change. Unfortunately I allowed them to put in a new battery so my bill was over $400. When I returned home, my son and my husband checked my tires and said I have a lot more wear on them. Then they looked at my brakes and said they were fine. I looked on-line and found out that unless you tow something or go off roading, Toyota doesn't recommend changing the transmission fluid. I plan on checking with my mechanic about that. All in all, the customer service was very poor beginning with the first person who greeted me and wrote down my mileage all the way to checking out. I will not be returning to this location. To say the least, it felt like they were putting a lot of pressure on me to spend quite a bit of money that wasn't necessary. When they told me I needed rear brakes, I was told that they would be replacing the rotors as that is their standard practice. If you know anything about cars, you know that it is not at all standard practice to replace the rotors every single time you replace the brake pads. I've been coming to this particular location for quite some time now and I just have to give a shout out to the team that's here for all of their hard work. What brings me back to this location is the teams attitude, everyone is always friendly, with a smile on their face and they do their best to get you in and out as soon as they can. Naturally service isn't always going to be fast because there are customers that might get a full service done and if you're the person behind that vehicle well you'll have to wait, it is what it is.
