I'm going to have to disagree with you on the kids cheeseburger because that's not what I ordered. To blanket statement that most kids like anything would be an overstatement. Each one is based on their own merit and I believe mine has graduated to knowing what he likes (sesame seeds). It was just a suggestion that he had that would've made his burger better. As for my meal I understand that maybe they dropped the ball. I believe everyone deserves second chances (7x77) and I'm willing to revisit your establishment sometime in the future. This was our second time eating here. We appreciate the menu, the lunch and dinner options, and the fact that foods come in a variety of size options. Although it was bit cool outside, we opted for the patio because the noise level inside was a bit more than we wanted (our only complaint). Deciding on what to eat was not easy, as the menu is large and varied, complete with daily specials. Note: I stared this review a while back, and I regret I don't recall what we had, but there were no complaints on the food. FnG is a very good choice for when you (or a group) can't decide on what you want to eat. Bottom line: As for Keller options, I do think this is, "As good as it gets." read more

We came here for a Sunday brunch. The ambiance is very chill. The service was okay but not great. I say this because it took twenty minutes for our entree order to be taken (drinks were dropped off and then our waiter vanished...maybe too many tables?). We had to flag a host down to get our waiter. After we finally had order, service was better. I started off with the prickly pear mimosa. It was vibrant and tart. I love that they have different mimosa flavors! I also ordered the California benedict. Y'all...this bearnaise sauce is AMAZING. It had a bright but creamy flavor. I could eat the sauce and focaccia bread all day long. The artichokes were also amazing and the eggs were poached perfectly. My husband had the macadamia chicken and cornbread waffles. While the waffles were good, the cornmeal was a little too different for our taste. The chicken-perfectly breaded and juicy. My dad had the bourbon caramelized banana French toast. It was a burst of sweetness and perfect if you are looking for something sweet. Overall, the food was good and prices were great. Had the pot roast this evening. Changes made for the sake of changes; mashed potatoes are gone. Replaced by scalloped potatoes awash in cheese and fat. You now have to "sauced" dishes, no vegetables ( they have gone) does not work. No thought about balance on the dish. In addition this evening the meat had not been reheated all the way through and was cold in the middle. F&G's is not cheap. They need to get it 100% right 100% of the time. I have had several good experiences as a table of two and one poor experience as a member of a larger party. I highly recommend the wedge salad with Scottish salmon. The dressing they use on it is great, not overdressed. The salmon is high quality and always perfectly cooked. The chorizo stuffed pork is also very good. Very juicy and perfectly cooked. The cherries really add a nice sweetness and tartness that balances the salty bacon. I did have a poor experience as a member of a large party. I think FnG is a good restaurant, but they struggle to maintain consistency with the Sunday brunch rush. And that's a shame because their brunch menu looks exciting. The execution is hit and miss. Many people in my party got the strata and were happy with it. The California benedict and the pot roast benedict were also pretty good except the eggs were a little undercooked. I am looking for runny yolks but firm whites. These had runny whites near the center. The brisket benedict and the bison burger also fell short. One member of my party got pancakes and said that she thought they had been made earlier in the day and left to sit for too long. This may be a case where the menu is just too large. The kitchen may be able to perform better with a smaller menu. The larger problem was the service, which was very slow. Our waitress also just didn't seem to care that much. I think part of the issue was being understaffed during the brunch rush. I will probably return for a one on one dinner, but I am unlikely to pick this place for a larger group or during a busy time. read more

Really great food. I split a wedge salad and had short ribs and mashed potatoes. Filling and good. Nice ambiance and Goo service. They have a good selection of wines and great mixed drinks. There are always four good beers on tap, this time a barrel aged stout that was top notch. Limited food menu but everything is good. Higher than average cost for entrees. Seating is limited so I advise you to make reservations during peak evening times. Previously I ate here and there were issues with thee kitchen exhaust but this has been remedied and the dining area was not at all smoky. Good food, drinks and surroundings. read more

3 burgers all fully cooked. Yep I ordered a bison burger and three separate times it arrived to my table well done. The chef has the audacity to say that bison won't have a red or pink center. Do yourself a favor and google it if you want a laugh. I eat bison burgers often and I don't eat a grey fully cooked one. After the third try they sent one out and said it's medium. See the photo so see how they all looked. I didn't eat it and wasted my hour lunch break here waiting for a burger cooked how I like it. On top of that the manager never came out to follow up. Awful service. As long time residents of Keller, we try to eat local. When we arrived, we asked to sit on the patio. When we got to the patio, they wanted to sit us in a cluster of people. We politely asked if we could sit at one of the tables away from people (there were plenty of open tables). Hostess immediately said "no, since there's only two of you, we can't seat you at a table with four chairs" (which would have been tight for four people). We politely walked out and took our business elsewhere. There's was no wait and plenty of open tables on the patio. COVID is a reality. If patrons want to be spread out, it should be accommodated. Been here a handful of times now. There aren't a ton of restaurants in the area and this is one of the few that has everything I'd typically want during a meal out: a nice menu with enough variety for any date, a fair amount of items that can be made gluten free if you ask, a creative little craft cocktail menu + a pretty rad wine and beer list, a casual bar to sit at (there's one TV playing sports), and an overall enjoyable and pretty environment with quality food and drinks. Out of the 3-4 times I've been here, I've felt like the customer service wasn't the greatest. I've felt like my waitresses on two occasions and my bartender the other night were all a little short with me -- not very welcoming, and kinda unhelpful each time I've mentioned I have to eat gluten free. A few days ago I politely and apologetically (I always feel bad about it) told my bartender/server that I'd have to eat gf, and he seemed noticeably irked and told me I could have some salad. ??? I actually said to him, "I've been here before and y'all were able to accommodate me pretty well, I'd think I could have a steak and potatoes?" He was like "oh yeah, you can." Alright, so that's what we ordered! He wasn't mean or anything -- he was totally cordial. Just a little dismissive. The steak was really delicious and cooked medium-rare. Garlic mashed potatoes were well-seasoned, the asparagus had great texture, and I loved my wine. I appreciated that they served our meal divvied out onto two plates, since I shared with my girlfriend. It was the perfect amount of food for us! I think $34 is a liiiittle pricey for a 6oz sirloin, but I really do enjoy my food here. Seems to be very flavorful and fresh for the most part. Was sadly underwhelmed by FnG Eats. Jon G. and I took his momma here for Sunday brunch. She is, like me, an avid benedict lover! After seeing the 5 different variations they had here, we thought this the clear choice. We pull up, cute location, nice neighborhood, covered patio, string lights etc. We all dig the look of this place and had our hopes up for an awesome experience. Right about here is when things started to take a downward spiral. We were "greeted" by the hostess, who wasn't very welcoming or friendly, and had a case of RBF. She engaged with us just long enough to find out how many she was sitting and that was it. She did seat us quickly, although this was the last "quick" thing that happened here. Service was so slowwww, which we were surprised at considering that it was by no means packed or busy in there. Drinks and food took FOREVER! Our server was much more friendly and approachable than the hostess, but he kept reaching directly across the table, both to serve and remove dishes, which is a big no-no in food service, since most would consider it rude. They have several different Mimosas on the menu, all $5 and under, which I got really excited about! I went for the Champagne Prickly Pear Mimosa, Jon G. got a regular OJ and his momma ordered a coffee. Now comes the wait. After a solid 10 mins, we got our drinks. My mimosa was electric pink and bubbly, liked the dryness of the champagne. I would have preferred for the prickly pear to be more on the forefront of flavor instead of just a footnote, but still really tasty. Jon G.'s OJ was warm in the glass, with no ice. Momma's coffee tasted burnt and they left no room for cream. Yikes! Even after replacement, the coffee didn't taste good, not sure if it's just low-grade coffee or a problem when brewing it. After considering the menu, I decided on the Parlez Benedict. A split house baked croissant, layered with smoked bacon, grilled green apples, Brie cheese slices, topped with a poached egg and bernaise sauce. I wanted so badly to like this, you have no idea! I love the flavor profile they were trying to create here, but a couple missteps in execution made this dish, for me, fall short. I had high expectations for the house-baked croissant. It wasn't light and flaky and full of air pockets with a lightly chewy center like the croissants I'm used to, it was an odd texture, dense and heavy. The grilled green apples and Brie cheese was a delicious combo, especially paired with that smokey, salty bacon. Poached egg was jiggly with set whites and a runny yolk. For the record, I enjoy Bernaise sauce! It's Hollandaise's herby, buttery brother, and it goes spectacularly with steak, asparagus and a whole hosts of other foods. I've even had other Bennys with bernaise replacing the hollandaise, and enjoyed the flavor combo! But on the Parlez, I think that the classic lemony and buttery hollandaise would have better accentuated the lighter flavors. With the bernaise, I found myself searching for the umami meat component that just wasn't there. Also, for $12 all I got was my benedict, come on FnG, not even any breakfast potatoes or a little cup of fruit?! So although this dish was not horrible and there were elements of it that I really enjoyed, it lacked what was needed to make it a memorable and enjoyable plate. Momma G. ordered the classic benedict, but was disappointed when her plate arrived with the eggs noticeably under-poached. Yes, we want jiggly yolks, but we also want set whites! The plate swiftly went back to the kitchen. She also mentioned not getting that original benedict feel since their "classic" take was presented on grilled focaccia with bernaise as opposed to English muffin with hollandaise. Wasn't inedible, but didn't fit her expectation since she was left searching for those classic flavors. Jon was the only one with no complaint. I stole a bite of his cornbread waffle, which was slightly sweet, the Macadamia Nut fried chicken was juicy and the crust had a nice flavor and crunch. Halfway through eating, I ordered another mimosa, this time opting for the blood orange citrus one at our waiter's suggestion. The Mimosa itself was delicious, the mixed citrus flavors were bold and the color was a gorgeous ruby orange. The only downfall was that my drink arrived after we had all finished eating and boxed our food. Kind of awkward since I had thought it would have arrived before I was finished eating. The food concept they had going was cool, but execution really needed to be polished up. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong things. I want to say that maybe lunch or dinner is better, and that I'll be back to give it a try, but the service was lacking at the initial tone and atmosphere that was set from the moment we walked in wasn't the most inviting. Maybe if we have friends or family that are determined to eat here, we'll venture back in. For me at least, I'll pass next time. read more

Had a great first experience at FnG eats. It's more of a treat yoself kinda place/a great place for a cheat meal. The cocktail list is so fun and the drinks were all delicious. The food was equally as delicious in my opinion. I tried the Rueben sandwich and it was tasty. Husband had the slices steak pita sandwich which was probably the winning dish of the night. My son had the brisket pie but he wasn't totally thrilled. That was the only negative. Our server was great and very attentive. Definitely will be back to try some other dishes. read more

Best burger I've had in a very long time! Fries were perfectly prepared. Wife had the CALIFORNIA Benedict and son had the smoked brisket Benedict. Both were awesomely prepared. With two sodas and a great spicy Tito' Bloody Mary, our bill was $53 plus tip. Not bad considering the fresh ingredients Definitely adding FnG to our list of favorites! The drink menu looked really good and we were excited about trying a few things so I ordered an Old Fashioned, and my wife ordered a drink that I can't remember at the moment. The old fashioned...not good. It wasnt mixed well and just did not taste good. My wife's drinks. Just tasted awful. Nothing was good about it. It was super sweet, honestly tasted like drinking syrup. If I can remember the name I'll re-post. The food - we were 50/50 on. Overall it took WAAAY too long to come out. My wife ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad and I ordered the Kobe sliders. Overall it took about 45 minutes to come out. The caesar was decent - it comes out as a couple of large leaf's which chicken and croutons on top. It could have used more dressing, but it was good. The Kobe sliders - not happy with these. I ordered mine medium well and they came out medium rare. I think the flavor profile they were going for was right, but the execution was off. They were super messy and the aoli kinda overpowered everything. I wasnt going to send them back because I did not want to wait any longer. We may have just gone on an off night, but based on the rest of the reviews I've seen, I'm guessing not. It would take a lot for us to come back. read more

I will never know how good the food might be. After a friend had raved about what a great place this was we were greeted with the most horrible customers service experience ever. We were a party of three and there was nobody in front of us or behind us waiting for a table. We asked if we could be sat in a booth. "our booths are for 4 to 6 people and we are busy" was the response we got. We told the hostess that one of our party had major back problems (legally handicapped) and couldn't sit in a hard chair. The hostess then responded by "well if you want a booth it will be a 20-minute wait" they had no wait list out and there was nobody else in the lobby with us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can clearly see two open booths in the dining room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really could not believe how rude the face of this restaurant was so we left! Being a 35-year restaurant employee and 15-year general manager I was not satisfied that we just walked out the door without asking for a manager. So after we left! In the parking lot I decided to call the manager. The rude Hostess answered the phone and I asked to speak to a manager "what do you need a manager for" I replied that I need to speak to a manager to speak to a manager. After about a 5-minute wait the rude Hostess got back on the phone and said "the manager is busy and on the other line can I take a message". As I was standing in the parking lot looking in the window I saw that this was a lie because the manager was at the booth next to the empty Booth filling up water cups. I'm really sad that I did not get to try this place it was talked about highly by my friend and was looking forward to it. But after this very rude experience with the hostess stand I will never know. This is very sad because not only did they not gain a new customer and their family and everybody else they know they lost an old customer and somebody who talked highly about their restaurant. read more

Oddly long wait for just 2 burgers... Ordered at 8:30 (they close at 9), and didn't get the burgers until 9:00. They sat in the window for 10 min! Our waiter looked at the burgers in the window at 8:55 (they had been there 5 min already), and then went to the bar and we didn't see him again. Maybe he was watching the NFL game... Thankfully another waitress finally gave us our burgers (she needed to get them out of the window to get her own table's food). I complained that the burgers sat there for 10 min, but she didn't do anything about it other than take over our table.
