I got some Bergamo Floors, engineered woods, color is oak usini, prime grade, 7.5''. Came out beautifully - extremely happy with the quality, there is no one single knot on the woods and that is what I really like. The color also goes well with our home style after the remodel. Homer is a great sales person, was very patient answering all kinds of questions I had, and was very helpful throughout the whole process. I wanted the 9.5'' prime in the same color, but it was not available when I placed the order. Homer was kind and called the distributor in LA a few times to see whether we got lucky and could have some 9.5'' prime. Even though the 9.5'' was still not available when we installed the floor, I really appreciate Homer's help. Now our house is all done, I am hoping to return 200 sq ft of the woods, and Homer is helping to connect with the distributor and see how that can be done.

We were excited to see their selection of treads and bannisters, and that it wasn't too long of a lead time to get our stairs. Pretty expensive though. $15,000+ for 13 hardwood stairs, bannister and a hardwood landing that's 6'x10'. We asked the demo team who installed the treads and landing about paint but they said it wasn't them. Then we had another crew install the banister and balusters, and we asked them about paint and they said, it's not them. So, not so good on communication or timeline. It took them 3 days to demo and install the treads and landing. Installing the banister and balusters took twice as long. On day one, they measured for 8 hours and installed one post. Day two measured again for 8 hrs and installed one more post. Friday they didn't show and said it was because I told them not to! Hardly, I asked if I should reschedule the cleaners to Monday and they said yes. The helper even said we'll see you tomorrow morning (Friday), and then they didn't show. Day 4 (Monday) they installed a 3' banister on the landing, two more days to install the rest of the banister and balusters. Even with 2+ days of measuring, they still drilled a hole in the wrong place on the landing and had to plug it ‍ We asked Mosen (lead?) about staining and painting and he was incredulous that we wanted the risers painted. I pointed to them and asked "Does this look done?" He did say no. I then got an estimate from Allen for an extra $300+ to paint the risers. I asked him how could they charge over $15,000 and not paint the risers? Mosen did offer to paint the risers as part of the project. The painter showed up and only stained the banister and painted the balusters. We were very confused as to why and he said he was only engaged for the banisters, not the tread. WTF? Talked to Mosen (lead?) and he said the painter wanted too much for the treads. So we had to wait until he shopped around for a cheaper painter. A couple of days later, the same painter arrived to stain the treads and paint the risers. It would've been easier for him to stain the treads and banister all at the same time and then paint! We are grateful that FMD did paint the risers, but we had to argue for it. They said they only stain, not paint. If you want them to paint, it's extra. How do you not paint? And to top it all off, I paid half at the beginning of the project and 5 minutes after the painter was finally done, Mosen sent him back to the house to collect payment. We also had two phone calls, one from Mosen and another from Allen asking for payment in those 5 minutes. We just spent a year and over $100,000 renovating our house and NO ONE demanded the final payment 5 minutes after they were done. We did get exactly want we wanted but it took much longer than we expected, we had to argue for what we wanted, and had little communication about timeline and when to expect the next team. Of all the contractors we engaged this last year, FMD was the most exasperating and frustrating to deal with. I'd definitely shop around if you're looking for flooring or stairs.

I love working with this company. However I love more the help of Sandra's Montoya. She is a great asset for this company. I.visit more places however her experience made me buy my kitchen with her. Thank you Sandra for your great work. I will think of you in any project for my house.

We bought floors, kitchen cabinets, countertops, and tiles. Sandra helped us to buy cabinets, countertops, and tiles. She was so kind and professional. Also, she provided great discount for us. Thanks to her support, we got quality cabinets with reasonable price. We really satisfied with our purchase. We appreciated Sandra's help.

This is a big store and you can check out their products online as well…read more Our contractor recommended this place as he has an account there with deep discount that can be passed onto the customers. They have a variety of tile selections and most of them were imported from Italy or Spain which with better quality there's less yield loss, hence you can buy less. Some of the special priced items have longer lead times, so make sure you double check with them. We didn't enjoy the process as much as with other shops because of 3 reasons. First of all, our sales contact was quite unavailable on the weekends or even Friday afternoons, so we had a hard time scheduling with her. But if you just walk in and ask for help from the front desk, they will assign someone to help. The second issue we found was the inconsistency of product introductions. We were worried about slippery tiles in the shower, our sales contact suggested us to focus on the tiles that have a special coating. The second sales person we talked to said the special coating was only for outdoor use, using the gauge lines between tiles is good enough to prevent slipping. Thirdly, after we got the quote, we couldn't place the order into the system with our contractor's discount; only that appointed sales person could do. Luckily we could get the rest of the process done via email and she sent out a link for me to make payment. If you have a Rakuten cash back app and pay online, I think you get the cash back as well.

Incredibly patient and provided 5-star customer service. We highly recommend him! I should also add that the associates at this store demonstrate poise and grace, even when getting screamed at. Unfortunately when we were in the store today, we witnessed a customer yelling at and berating an employee, a customer, and the store manager. She stated that she was part of a group of investors who flip houses and that she has spent so much money at the store, so she was entitled to certain things and bypassing rules other customers follow. I have never seen such poor customer behavior and yet Adam (our associate) and Andrew (the manager) reacted calmly and tried to de-escalate the situation despite this entitled customer's tantrum. I, along with other customers, were complimentary of the ability of the associates to keep their cool in spite of the behavior exhibited towards them.

Less than 2 years a few areas we noticed a few planks had really small cracks that were not noticeable. Well then shortly after, larger cracks started. Hesam came out to take a look and said it was due to the installation and they did not put down a boards underneath, which was completed through his company. He was shocked and said NO. I showed him a business card for the installers and did agree yes those were his employees. So that tells me their installation work is poor. He agreed to have them replace a section. Then a few months shortly after the same issue happened in a different area. He agreed to come out and take a look and agreed to replace the planks. Mr Hesam said he would be in touch to schedule a repair. Days went by no contact. So I emailed Hesam and his response was it's the holidays they are really busy. Well I let that go, emailed Hesam again after the Thanksgiving holiday and to this day (5/13/2026) no response or callback. Well of course communication stops on my end because I am frustrated and it's been since November 2025 since I heard from him. The crack continues to grow and I'm left with damaged floor. The quality of the material if horrible and their communication as well. I do not recommend them after this experience and I paid over $9500. I am just writing this now because communication started in 2024 and issues has been trying to be resolved for 2 years now. Apparently there is lifetime warranty on the material. I am ready to escalate this if I cannot get these issues resolved. I don't like to leave bad reviews or comments but this issue has been going on too long and planks continue to crack.

He then stated the part wasn't in stock at their warehouse but was in stock at their SF warehouse--however, I'd have to pay for the part ahead of time before he can transfer it. I'm a busy guy and really don't feel like making two trips to their North SJ location (one to pay and one to pickup) so I asked if I could call him and pay for it over the phone, and he agreed. After multiple attempts to call him, I was finally able to reach him and proceeded to give him the cc number, and he stated that he'd ring it up and email me the receipt. Well, the receipt never showed up, but I figured it was the end of the day when I reached him, and he'd do it in the a.m. Well, I woke up this morning with a phone call from my CC stating my card had been blocked, and I needed to call them. It turns out there were several attempts of fraudulent purchases (one for several hundred dollars to Angelo Minetti and another for $12 for some other nonsense) that they had blocked. Fortunately, they caught the purchases, and they never went through. Luckily, this is my company CC and not my personal card, so it doesn't affect me too much. But is it a coincidence that the very same day I give this guy my cc that all of a sudden I'm getting fraud on my card? You be the judge, but I'm going with my gut on this. TLDR: Avoid these crooks.

He took the order, and the door arrived about a week later. All good so far. However, the "good" stopped there. When we tried to install the door, we found that they had left no space between the door and the frame in the top left corner. If you look at any installed door, it should have a 1/8-1/4" gap between door and frame so that it can open. With this door, no gap. The door was cut just a bit too wide. We couldn't open it. We contacted Ryan and he acted offended that we had this issue. He immediately blamed it on us and asked really condescending questions (perhaps because I'm middle aged female, though I worked for years as a carpenter and my contractor is an excellent carpenter and experienced door installer). He actually asked me (several times) if we had removed the shipment screws that secure the door to the frame for shipment. Wow! That is a truly condescending question. He said we were installing it wrong. He was sure there was nothing wrong with the door and was very defensive. We sent him pictures of the door showing the issue. (See photo) The door was completely level and plumb, and there was no gap. One of his sales guys even came by, looked at the door and saw the same problem. Since we didn't want to rebuild the whole door, we asked him for a slightly larger header piece (just 1/8-1/4" longer) so we could disassemble the frame and reassemble with a slightly longer header, and he grudgingly agreed. My contractor drove through rush hour traffic to their location to get the new header. Guess what, it was exactly the same length as the previous one. Exactly. Not a millimeter longer. He provide us with a stock header. Why did he waste 2.5 hours of my contractors time to come pick up a standard header? It feels vindictive and unprofessional on Ryan's part. He said that he would provide us with the item that would resolve the issue, but he didn't. And he was rude about it even though it was his error. We finally created a small shim to move out the side frame piece a bit, and the door worked fine. (see picture). This place might be OK for standard, premade doors, but don't use them for a custom door, and don't expect Ryan to treat you like you have a brain in your head if there are any issues.
