I got my living room and dining room carpet removed and replaced with vinyl laminate, the installer Ricardo was on time and really great. I had moved a lot of furniture outside, uncovered, and it started to rain, so Ricardo ran outside with a roll of plastic tarp and saved my furniture from water damage. This was above the call of duty! The floor looks great, it was a very good price, and the carpet we had installed to replace our old carpet on the stairs and upstairs landing is high quality, and again was installed by Jack with great care. I'll let the facts speak for themselves.... It has been a year and a half since I unfortunately hired this company and yet there are still consistent problems with my floors...mind you, my new house was purchased in April 2022. 1 - Tracee couldn't recommend what type of floors we needed. The recommendations bounced around to glue down floors, floating LVP, to hardwood, and then to finally telling us we needed to install plywood over the entire subfloor, which we did. 2 - After the initial install (which was summer of 2022), planks started gapping through out the house. 3 - Upon a 3rd party inspection report, there was evidence of an installation error. 4 - Chuck and Tracee ate the cost (rightfully so) and replaced almost half of the planks. However, they were replaced with a DIFFERENT color and pattern. Tracee was not aware that a new plank style had been introduced from the time we had initially installed the floors. 5 - Now, I am stuck with two different color planks through out the main part of my house. 6 - Chuck and Tracee are radio silent and do not see a problem. 7 - Their employee brought their dog on to my property and didn't clean up after it! So there was dog shit in my front yard! 8 - The work was careless! Baseboards were completely damaged and even though Chuck offered to paint the baseboards - we decided not to because it would have looked weird to have clean base boards and scuffed up door trims (which were also chipped to hell). They also left behind nails on several occasions. Luckily, my young kids didn't get hurt. 9 - Some of the other employees stunk so bad of cigarette smoke! They needed to take a cigarette break every ten mins which made the job take even longer than planned. I had to open my windows and turn the fan on because the smell was burning my eyes! I was also worried about my son who has asthma. So much for spending the $30k! I found this company via a local search, and was impressed with the positive reviews. Turns out those reviews are completely justified! They made it easy every step of the way. I really wasn't in a place where I wanted a bunch of sales people coming by. Nor was I in a place where I wanted to go visit a bunch of showrooms. I just wanted to know roughly how much it would cost to recarpet my 2-bedroom apartment (2 bedrooms, a hallway and a living room) so I could determine if doing the work was even feasible. I sent contact form requests and email requests to several companies in Campbell and San Jose. Affordable was by far the best and easiest to work with. I sent them approximate measurements, and asked for an approximate quote, which I got. I was so happy with their response that I gave them the job. They sent an installer out to do a more accurate measurement, which took 10 minutes. There was no sales pressure - or sales at all - from the installer. He was fantastic - he just measured, thanked me, and left. I had a rough idea of the kind of carpet I wanted. I sent them links. They ordered me a kit of carpet samples which arrived FedEx the next day. What an eye-opener! There are all different kinds of carpet thicknesses, densities, and colors - which you know intellectually when you read it - but you don't really UNDERSTAND it until you see different samples in your hand. I unboxed the little kit and was rewarded with about 20 different samples, thicknesses, colors - all close to what I had originally envisioned. I made my choice, emailed them back, and the next morning had a firm quote that was very close to the ballpark they had given me before. I accepted the quote and decided to prepay the entire job up front. I had special needs - like the need to move furniture around and repaint between rooms - so their quote included three trips and storing the extra carpet for a few days between each trip - all of which made life so much easier. Their dispatcher was great - we worked over SMS and they got me scheduled within a day or two of me being ready for each room. The installer was great too - he came out, tore out the old carpet, scraped off the old padding - and put everything in fresh and new. By the end of the third trip, my entire apartment had new carpeting, and IT. IS. AMAZING. You could never tell it was done in sections or multiple trips. It literally looks like a brand new house. Through it all I appreciated their responsiveness, their professionalism, and the total LACK of any kind of sales pressure. They just wanted to know what I wanted, and I just wanted a quote, and I was very happy to not have to deal with any kind of sales tactics. I can't stand that - and there was none of that here. It was super-pleasant. That said, you really should upsell yourself a little bit. One thing I thought about was padding. Ask them for, and pay for, a thicker padding underneath. It's worth it. I also went with a slightly more expensive carpet sample, but that was also SO worth it. I ended up with a beautiful new installation with carpet that I'm sure will last for decades. These people really are the best of the best. Seek them out, and buy with confidence. They will take great care of you! read more

We hired Antonio and his team to do a painting and recarpeting job for us in a new house. His team (lead by Gerardo) did a fantastic job! We had different colors in different rooms of the house, some with wainscoting as well. We even changed our mind about the paint color in one of the rooms after the first coat and the team was very accommodating of that. They filled up the hardware holes in the cabinetry and reinstalled new hardware, removed the installations in the bathrooms, patched up walls and mimicked the existing texture. It is with a thankful heart that I write to recommend Affordable Carpets and More. Dealing with contractors and their suppliers can be stressful, but that wasn't my experience here. Upon first discussing my needs with Tracee over the phone, from day one everything was so easy, and she was so great to work with. It's not every day you meet such a kind and accommodating person like her. Tracee's customer service was outstanding! I didn't even have to leave my home, she sent a representative to where the work was to be done with tons of samples to choose from. He was such a nice guy as well, and wasn't pushy at all. I took a few pictures of what I liked in some carpeting and laminate flooring to think about, and when I narrowed down my choices to a few that stood out, Tracee was able to ship some samples from the manufacturer to make the process even easier to choose the right ones. We ended up choosing a nice Berber carpet and a gorgeous laminate by Gaia. The delivery of the materials was so quick and the contractor they provided to install the flooring did a superb job. He was a true craftsman and very professional. It took a total of two days to finish the job for two flights of stairs and four bedrooms with new baseboards installed.
