The sausage added plenty of flavor, although the sandwich was definitely too salty for my taste. Still, it's a convenient and tasty option before or after a round of pitch & putt. There's something especially fun about grabbing breakfast and then heading out onto the course. The food was prepared quickly and was served fresh. The service was friendly. I would order it again, but I'd love to see the salt dialed back a bit. Would love to try a burger next.

Not bad at all, just not in my top tier of Austin smash burgers. The patty came out in pieces, which happens when it gets smashed a little too thin. Totally edible, still tasted good, it just didn't have that cohesive patty feel or the crispy lacy edges I like. I ordered through the QR code on the table, which told me it would take about 30 minutes, but it was ready in 10. Not complaining, but it's always funny when the system just picks a random long estimate and then surprises you. Fries were adequate, nothing memorable. Service was okay. I asked for a side of their special sauce, and the guy looked totally baffled, like no one in the history of burgers had ever asked for sauce on the side. Someone else behind him finally said, "I think he means the Biggie sauce." Now I know what to call it if I ever return. Overall: decent burger, not amazing, but Armadillo Den itself is a great hang. The smashed burger tasted like it was made by your mom or grandmother...soft and buttery with fresh ingredients. My hunger was finally quenched. The food truck cooks were fun and playful. When I was taking pictures they were doing funny poses. Their food preparation was excellent. My burger was delivered to me by a Nickel City server. I was very thankful that my Yelp friend, her boyfriend and fur baby escorted me to Nickel City and back to my car. Next time I will try the crinkle cut fries.

The waffle fries were the only saving grace and had nice seasoning. - habanero wings - these were beyond breaded and fried and had no flavor of habanero. I couldn't even finish them they were so breaded. The service was nice and the lady that served us was very friendly. They have no way of notifying you of your food being ready with text or buzzer, so you have to be around to make sure it's not just sitting there. Luckily we stuck around to get it immediately. I have to say I was disappointed in this food truck and definitely cannot see myself going back at the Austin Beerworks location or go to this Hops and Grains location because of what I had.

That gave me the sign at this burger was perfectly cooked and also gave me that old school type nostalgic hamburger feel. I ordered curly fries from my side and they came out hot and fresh as well.
