Honestly, the quality of the uniforms is fine -- nothing special -- but the real issue is how difficult it is to get what the school requires you to have. When there was a local store we could walk into, everything was easy and there were never any problems. Ever since that store closed, it's been a complete hassle. I drove over an hour and a half to the nearest location only to be told they don't carry our school's uniforms and that everything must be ordered online. If you happen to order the wrong size, you have to pay for return shipping. They don't even offer expedited shipping, so now my son will stand out in his school pictures because his uniform didn't arrive in time. Many parents at our school have been urging the administration to end their contract with Flynn O'Hara since we no longer have a local store, and honestly, I can't wait for that change to happen. read more

A couple of weeks before school started I brought my kid to get her new uniform. Someone helped us, she tried everything on . We bought stuff, took all the tags off and ironed everything for the first day. Lo and behold, the first day comes along and the neck is to tight, the tie is to long the skirt is to loose.now I have to try and return a bunch of stuff that was used and see what they say. Our first time shopping at Flynn O'Hara for school uniforms. We got great service from Atalia. Super friendly and as quick as anyone can be in that maze of a store. My 4 year old acted like she owned the store and Atalia just smiled and indulged her. It's pricey for school uniforms but I guess we'll see if the quality holds up over the school year. read more

I spent 2.5 hours waiting online today! I still had to order pants for my son to be shipped due to low inventory. Our rep Kristen made our experience a little better. She was very knowledgeable about the products and gave great sizing suggestions. She realized my son wasn't feeling great so she did her best to expedite our order. If you have time to waste this is the place to do it! The place is run by baby boppers that are either underpaid, are punished, have no sense of responsibility or simply don't care for the clients. I'm very disappointed with FlynnO' Hara uniforms. I ordered my nursing uniform and I was not expecting to be upset. When I received it in mail I open it up and I see the uniform scrub looks big. I try it on and it is no where near a small. I check the chest sizing on the website and then measure the sizing of the scrub and it is almost twice the size they mention. It says online small is a 34-36 and the small I got was a 48. I don't know how a small can even be that huge. I wonder does the company not do quality control check before sending out an order. People have deadlines to meet and can't afford to return and item and wait another 2-3 weeks to get it in the mail. Another thing I realized the picture is no where near similar to the product I received. It is very aggravating to see a company can't get a simple thing as sizing correct. Is it true that you still have 75,000 school uniform orders waiting to be shipped from your warehouse? Your stores have no stock. Your warehouse has no stock and you blame it on U.S. labor shortages. But what was your excuse for the past 15 years? This year is no different than the past years. None of your merchandise is made in the U.S. All of your products are made in Egypt and the Dominican Republic and Honduras. U.S. companies need to start bringing jobs back to the U.S. Maybe the 1500 schools you do business with should take their business elsewhere. This is the third year in a row that my children have been left without vital uniform pieces because your stores can't even seem to carry standard sizes. My daughter started school last week. I washed her polo shirts in COLD water and allowed to air dry. 2 of the 5 shirts the threading came out near the buttons and ALL of the shirts shrunk. HOW IF I AIR DRIED! I noticed 2 different labels inside of the uniforms and clearly different quality. Now I have to spend another $125 on polo shirts after only ONE WEEK of school. That is ridiculous!!!!!! Not one employee mentioned that the shirts should be sized up so here I am to let you know SIZE UP your polo shirts THEY WILL SHRINK even if you air dry!!!!!!! read more

I've been coming here for years, but the errors that are made cost me money and time. The kids who work there are sweet and kind, but they are not trained well. This year, I won't go into last years mistakes, I had to return two times and I will be returning for the third time. No one is offering to pay for my parking pass either. First, my daughters skirt. I expressed to the girl that the sizing was off, she was adamant that the style was why I was confused and ordered me the wrong size of skort for my daughter. When the skort arrived, as I expressed, it was the wrong size. Now her true size is on back order for another month and my daughter doesn't have the correct uniform for middle school. Now my daughter feels awkward starting 6th grade with no uniform to match. Then my sons shirts. I asked for blue plain shirt the print out stated the correct shirt. In my bag I was given oxford shirts and I over paid for them. I had to return and wait on line for an hour; I was lucky. I know I should have looked, but I trusted again that they got it right. I am tired of this experience at Flynn. At least offer compensation parking for the inconvenience. I work long hours and even made sure I went in early this year. Terrible read more

I have been to the Glendale store numerous times when they had lines out the door and up the stairway and went there were only a few people in the store.... I have NEVER had bad service . The young kids that offer service have always been respectful and pleasant. Uniform season is never a picnic. But despite the long lines, panicked families, and high price tags- the staff at Glendale were superb. Security managed the line well, masks were worn by all, and staff were young, motivated, and patient. My family received top notch service today from Heather who patiently brought us style after style and size after size for 2 different schools and always with a smile. Also, we appreciated Kaitlyn who helped ensure our order was perfect and managed some last minute size changes and shipping requests with poise and professionalism. The young lady who assisted us was great & she gets 5s. The young people who work there are friendly and efficient. However, the overall experience is a 3 because of the following: 1. The website says"Teacher Discounts. Without teachers, our schools would be nothing. In order to support the inspiring men and women at the head of your classrooms, all faculty members receive a 15% discount on school uniform orders placed with FlynnO'Hara". I requested the discount, showed my DOE ID but the cashier didn't know how to enter it so she got a manager who asked me twice where I worked despite having my ID. Then she told me "oh that's only for our schools & we haven't done that in like 2 years". I replied that they should update their website and she said she didn't know & walked away. 2. The pants we needed were not in the store and had to be ordered. They charge $5.00 to have the items sent to your house. Otherwise you have to come all the way back to the store to pick them up. If you don't have a required item (s) in stock then you should ship to the person for free, especially considering the cost. read more

I visited the Glendale store yesterday evening around 6pm. I was prepared for chaos, but, was pleasantly surprised. It was busy, but, there was plenty of staff to keep things moving. Hayden (sales associate) was pleasant and very accommodating. I have 2 girls, so he was running back and forth to get sizes and alternate sizes and even more sizes. He didn't make us feel rushed or that he was bothered at all. Patrick (manager, I think) was also there running things back and forth to get embroidered and screen printed. He was great as well. I only gave 4 stars because the prices are high and then to add a $5 shipping fee for items not in stock is ridiculous. read more

I offered to take the 6th one off their hands for a discounted price since it was their mistake. They denied anything but full price. This store is unorganized and has a ridiculous return policy. I returned a few items and the refund amount was $92. The cashier informed me that because the amount was over $50, she had to issue me a store check for the amount which i would receive in 10 days. The manager told me that this was for security reasons. I paid CASH for my items. The store didnl not have a problem receiving $280.75 in cash from me when i made my purchase. That wasn't a security concern. But returning cash over $50 is a security concern. So I returned some items and will return the rest tomorrow. The quality of clothing and footwear is very cheap considering the prices the store charges. You can get better quality clothing from other stores and pay less money. Flynn O'Harra is taking advantage of the fact thatsome schools require uniforms with embroidery and emblems by charging exorbitant prices for CHEAP quality clothing. We were at the Plainview store and we called the Glendale store to find out if they have the polo shirts for my daughters school in stock since the Plainview store didn't have them in stock and they couldn't help us and check for us because "the line was out of the door"!! Are you kidding me??? What kind of service is this?? We debated to take the ride from Plainview to Glendale (about 25 miles away), but we didn't do it. We ordered them at that store but we are running close because we were told it takes at least 10 business days for the shirts to be delivered and school starts on the 4th!!
