Terrible customer service experience, would not recommend this school to anyone…read more I scheduled a free, 30-minute introductory flute lesson with Chloe on their websites calendar as instructed by their team. I got a call several days later canceling because Chloe would be out of town. That shows incredible mismanagement, but is not a dealbreaker. Things happen. I called them back. The receptionist mediated a rescheduling with Chloe for several days into the future, and I was very excited to finally get a flute lesson in, as I am paying for a rental flute under the impression that I'd be able to go to Grosse Pointe Music Academy. 90 minutes before my lesson, which I structured part of my day around, Chloe cancels. Two cancellations before even the first lesson tells me there is no reason to proceed with GPMS, especially with Chloe, who clearly cannot maintain a schedule in a professional and reliable manner. Add to that their website has outdated information, and the person who responded to my initial web inquiries who said they'd find me a teacher originally never got back to me (I had to email them back after a week-plus of silence), and I think you get the picture. Stay away. Can't believe I'm going to say it, but I think I'll go with a corporate option. I've done Guitar Center before. Maybe I'll have to switch instruments and send my flute back, which stinks, but I just want to play jazz. If you ever had the sense that people are not reliable anymore, really avoid this school, because it will just confirm that belief and make you a little more frustrated with what society has become.

Mr. Evola came out and took down model and serial number information, did a lot of research, and documented the market value for our insurance company. In fact we had unknowingly bought a good brand and model that actually appreciated significantly so we applied that value to purchase a new, grander piano. Evola's delivery and setup were excellent.

Since then we have purchased a grand piano for our home and the entire experience was great. They have entry level digital pianos, artist quality grands and everything in between. Regarding the studios, there are many fine teachers on the staff who have excellent training and who are conscientious music educators. I have never heard of a teacher at Evola who was unreliable. Not to minimize the experience another reviewer had there, but it was surely an anomaly and not indicative of what you normally find at Evola.

They told us that because she's in marching band the pads would need to be replaced every year. So, the 3rd year we decided to purchase insurance, which cost 125 dollars, up front for next year to cover the repairs needed. This year when we used our insurance that we paid for last year. All they did was re-align some minor parts and were able to return our instrument to us within a day. So, this feels like if you purchase the insurance ahead of time, they will do the minimum work on your instrument but if you have an open check book, they will sock it to you. Beware of Marshall Music. I won't ever go back, and I plan on telling everyone about my experience with their company

But wow...The guy at Broughton was AWESOME- went well above and beyond to make sure he not only had his string but even took the time to put it on for him. Highly recommend!
