Over the weekend, the Fluff Ice Truck was at Chinatown Summer Nights and ya girl needed a nightcap. Nightcaps in my world are non-alcoholic and come in the form of ice fluffed up for the consuming. My friend and I shared their version of Halo Halo. It was so light and airy, a nice contrast to the traditional version. Taro fluff, red beans and egg pudding made it really tasty. It could have used a few more red beans to balance it out, but overall was a great treat. They have a bunch of other cool combos on their menu I need to try next~! During COVID, Fluff Ice has been making door-to-door deliveries of their Taiwanese style shaved ice. They go to certain cities on certain days. It's an orderly system. You pre-order online and the night before, someone texts you the 1 hour window they are expected to arrive. The day-of, I got a text about 30 min before, then 5 min before. It was easy and staff was super duper communicative! We ordered from their slightly reduced menu. Not everything off their regular menu and toppings offerings are available, but it's plenty of choices. A few of us got the Candy Factor (Strawberry Fluff Ice with gummy bears and sprinkles), Mango Madness (Mango Fluff, mango, mango jelly), Chocolate Crunch (chocolate fluff, oreo crumbles), Halo Halo (taro fluff, red bean, egg pudding), and Original Milk with strawberries and mango. Amazing service! Came across this truck as I was looking to hire a ice cream truck for my daughter's graduation. Fluff Ice was suggested and found it interesting as I've never had this style of ice cream before. On a hot day you want something refreshing and light! But this didn't really do it for me. You can preorder a type of shaved ice or you can build your own, which we opted for. We got the regular sized cup, matcha ice, strawberry and pudding topping, and finished it with condensed milk. It was about $7. I wanted more condensed milk and more pudding and more of the match flavor. I also wanted it to be colder! Which is weird but I've had shaved ice that made my breath visible on a really hot day! It may be how they shave the ice down, but I wanted the ice more compacted and not looking like I was eating flakes of snow. As far as the flavor, well the matcha fell flat. We had an excellent experience with the Fluff Ice truck during a drive-by party we hosted at our home on 7/26/20. Despite covid and the unusual way we had to celebrate, Nick and the Fluff Ice Truck did everything to make our experience amazing. Nick answered every email and all the questions I had in a timely and professional manner. I highly recommend hiring this truck for your events. Their pricing is fair, and definitely worth it. Our guests loved the fluff ice treats! Plus, the truck is bright, beautiful and fun and adds a lot of cheer to your party! The fluff ice itself is amazing! I was able to try most of the flavors and my favorites so far are the coconut, Thai tea, mango and peach. It's not too sweet and very light and delicious for a hot summer day. Our guests raved about it and really enjoyed it. I have no complaints or regrets, I just wish they made stops in the OC during covid. I would love to have Fluff Ice more often, but they are based mainly in the LA area but made a special trip to the OC for our party. My daughter celebrated her 1st birthday at the park this weekend and we really enjoyed fluff ice cater our event..While planning for her birthday, I knew that it was going to be a scorching hot summer day so I decided to have them come. Fluff ice did not only deliver the most refreshing shaved ice but they delivered smiles and amazing service! Although there were only 2 of them serving 150 guests they served shaved ice for 2 hours. Nick also hand delivered shaved ice to me and my husband and I thought that was a nice gesture since the hosts of the party never gets to eat. They also went above and beyond just to get permits and insurance to serve inside the park without us having to pay extra fees. I got my first taste of Korean-style shaved or 'fluff' ice at Oakobing in Koreatown (three stars), and while they executed the concept brilliantly and the array of selections were truly endless, the concept really didn't do it for me. I thought I would give it another shot at Fluff Ice Truck, but they fell short of Oakobing's execution. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? The folks at the Fluff Ice Truck are exceptionally friendly, and even in the midst of a long line on a scorcher of a Friday, my small Chocolate Crunch was out in well under five minutes after ordering, which was impressive. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Having just visited a food truck nearby that charged a $10.00 minimum for credit cards, I was rearing for a fight if I encountered the same at Fluff Ice Truck. Fortunately, I didn't, and my $5.00 was accepted via credit card no issue for a small portion of Chocolate Crunch, which turned out to be pretty good value. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? So this really just didn't do it for me. In contrast to the light and airy yet fiercely flavorful traditional shaved ice, this fluff ice was a bit heavier and sticky with dull flavors that really fell short of expectation. Even with condensed milk and oreos the dish just didn't taste that great and wasn't refreshing. I'm not sure what the solution is to get a lighter product with more concentrated flavor, but for now I'll stick to more traditional shaved ice. No Stars. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? I wouldn't, and while I think I understand why Fluff Ice Truck is so popular given the concept, it's simply not for my tastes. No Star. read more

Not the best customer service, wasn't rude or anything, but their covid-19 system is very flawed. Asked for service in their delivery window posted on IG. Rule number one to owning a business, do not give the client false hope, if you know you can not follow through with your words. They said they can accommodate if it fits to their schedule. I live 3 blocks from Monterey Park, and they said nothing is certain yet for Friday, and might be able to work something out. So I was trying to work out a time and location best for them and myself. A good customer service would say " we cannot do that location at that time, but this (blank) time would work better. If not, we can most definitely add Alhambra again to the list for following delivery schedules" or something along the line of that but instead they said they do not service in your "area" this week. When it was clearly listed they will be. I have seen comments before in IG where people would request for a delivery outside of the schedule and they would comment back and say " DM us, we can most definitely make it to you before or after our schedule" Growing up I was a big fan of fluffice, I am a big supporter for small business. I recently thought of them and been trying to find the best time to get them for the past months. Now.. I am very disappointed. IF YOU WANT A LEGIT TAIWANESE SHAVE SNOW. I RECOMMEND CLASS302 IN ROWLAND HEIGHTS, now their shave snow is huge and worth the price! It feeds up to 5 people for less than 10 dollars. Thank you so much to everyone who worked at Fluff Ice! I loved my experience at the Fluff Ice Truck located at the Los Angeles Convention Center for Anime Expo 2023. They had amazing service and the staff were incredibly kind, helpful and cool. I very much enjoyed my experience purchasing my shaved ice and the shaved ice itself was just as good, if not even better. I got the candy flavour and absolutely loved it. The taste was amazing and the shaved ice melted softly in my mouth, allowing the sweet taste and soft texture to spread over all my tastebuds. The peachy taste of the shaved ice mixed with the nice taste and texture of the gummy bears and sprinkles was so nice and sweet in my mouth. Each gummy bear had its own distinct flavour which added to the nice, sweet taste of the already great tasting shaved ice, and the crunchy texture of the sprinkles mixed with the smooth, soft shaved ice made it even better. The Persona 5 Tactica themed environment of the truck at Anime Expo was also super great and really cool, especially since the original Persona 5 and its deluxe version in Persona 5 Royal is my favourite game of all time so as a fan it was really nice and exciting. I also got a free Persona 5 Tactica lanyard alongside my purchase of the shaved ice and it was extremely cool. In the end, everything about the Fluff Ice truck was amazingly good, from the taste of the delicious shaved ice, to the super kind staff and service to the persona theme. I love their fluff ice! They have collaborated with my high school choir for school funds and I would always try to support by buying something every time. It was really delish and a great way to cool off after practice. I loved trying different combinations of flavors and toppings. Although, I did think it was a bit pricey for the bigger sizes, so I would always end up buying their "mini" size which was perfect for myself and fulfilling either way.
