    Thai sunset
    Kimberly T.

Fluff Ice was a pivotal part of my teenage hood since they would cater for a lot of hs fundraisers. I haven't felt inclined to have their desserts since they shuttered their storefronts during covid. Seeing them at the MPK community event in Barnes Park was pretty nice! I ordered a small Thai sunset for myself. Customizable options are welcomed too. Now that they're sticking to their food truck, stuff is a little pricy now. Service was nice and fast since there wasn't a line. Got my stuff with extra condensed milk drizzle and it added a good amount of sweetness to the fluff. The Thai tea base was as bomb as I remember. Toppings were a good amount for a small. The egg pudding was a little goopy, and I remembering it being a little firmer. Overall, I was satisfied with my dessert and happy to still see them in the community!

Soft, fluffy shaved snow on a hot af summer day was perfection! The truck was conveniently still parked inside Alhambra High School this week while we finished coaching the cross country team. I beelined straight over to make sure they took Apple Pay. Felt like I hit the lottery when they said they did. Ordered a large Mango Madness with a friendly, smiley girl. Hell yes with condensed milk on top. I couldn't even tell you how excited I was for this. My order was up in just a few minutes. Instant relief was the heat! Surprised to see that most of the fluff made it home in the car without completely melting. Hoping to see the truck again soon.

A lot of varieties to choose from. I had the one with red bean and that was very delicious.

Over the weekend, the Fluff Ice Truck was at Chinatown Summer Nights and ya girl needed a nightcap. Nightcaps in my world are non-alcoholic and come in the form of ice fluffed up for the consuming. My friend and I shared their version of Halo Halo. It was so light and airy, a nice contrast to the traditional version. Taro fluff, red beans and egg pudding made it really tasty. It could have used a few more red beans to balance it out, but overall was a great treat. They have a bunch of other cool combos on their menu I need to try next~! I'll follow the Fluff Ice.

I tried the classic and it was very good. The ice was soft and the fruits were ripe. I found their truck location through instagram. I would come back and try mango next time !

Food truck came to my college campus and it is the PERFECT compliment for a hot, sunny day. Both flavors I got were delicious, but I especially enjoyed the mochi in the "Pretty in Pink" cup and the sweet, tender mango in the other. Service was pretty speedy too! In and out.

As someone who enjoys being outdoors, sheltering in place during COVID has been a giant pain in the donkey. With three kids in the house, it makes it even harder. Cabin fever is real, and considering we can't be on a road trip all the time, we have been looking for things to do with the kids. A friend told us about the fluff ice truck taking orders for delivery, so we invited over a few friends for a lawn party, called them up to order, and put our camping chairs u see the big olive tree. Right on schedule, the truck pulled in and made all of our things on the spot. Fresh, light, and flavorful-- a great alternative to ice cream.. Not cheap, but what is? And the novelty of delivery to your house was fun and worth the trouble and price.

    Halo halo

During COVID, Fluff Ice has been making door-to-door deliveries of their Taiwanese style shaved ice. They go to certain cities on certain days. It's an orderly system. You pre-order online and the night before, someone texts you the 1 hour window they are expected to arrive. The day-of, I got a text about 30 min before, then 5 min before. It was easy and staff was super duper communicative! We ordered from their slightly reduced menu. Not everything off their regular menu and toppings offerings are available, but it's plenty of choices. A few of us got the Candy Factor (Strawberry Fluff Ice with gummy bears and sprinkles), Mango Madness (Mango Fluff, mango, mango jelly), Chocolate Crunch (chocolate fluff, oreo crumbles), Halo Halo (taro fluff, red bean, egg pudding), and Original Milk with strawberries and mango. Everything was delicious and kids and adults alike were so happy with the easy deliver and refreshing treats. Thank you so much for providing this service and your yummy treats!

Green tea shaved ice with strawberries, pudding, condensed milk

On a hot day you want something refreshing and light! But this didn't really do it for me. You can preorder a type of shaved ice or you can build your own, which we opted for. We got the regular sized cup, matcha ice, strawberry and pudding topping, and finished it with condensed milk. It was about $7. I wanted more condensed milk and more pudding and more of the match flavor. I also wanted it to be colder! Which is weird but I've had shaved ice that made my breath visible on a really hot day! It may be how they shave the ice down, but I wanted the ice more compacted and not looking like I was eating flakes of snow. As far as the flavor, well the matcha fell flat. Except for it being green I couldn't tell if there was matcha in it. The pudding made everything better and added some flavor to it. This truck was at Anime Expo 2018

I remember way back when, this place had the most BOMB boba milk tea. The iconic blue and pink boba was super flavorful and it was a welcomed reprieve from the heat of the summer night markets and Anime Expo. However, recently, it seems like they are more focused on their fluff ice. The review is only for the Golden Milk Tea. For the price, it's understandable since I would scale it between a bit too pricey for a boba place, but standard for a food truck at an event. The milk tea has just the right amount of smoothness and the egg pudding had the decadent flavor and texture of flan. Just wish that they'd go back to their roots and have their godly drink from years ago.

WOW! I was craving shaved ice. Hot the regular/medium size of half and half taro/matcha (they were both vegan :O). The flavor of the ice is strong and comes through distinctly. Got: Matcha and taro (half, half) medium shaved ice with mochi and mango jelly. Both the matcha and taro were vegan! They had a couple of other vegan flavors (original I think?) Price: small-$5 medium - $7 (shown below). More than enough for two people. large - $9 Definitely would recommend :)))

They packed it up to go! Chocolate, Coconut and Halo Halo.

We had an excellent experience with the Fluff Ice truck during a drive-by party we hosted at our home on 7/26/20. Despite covid and the unusual way we had to celebrate, Nick and the Fluff Ice Truck did everything to make our experience amazing. Nick answered every email and all the questions I had in a timely and professional manner. I highly recommend hiring this truck for your events. Their pricing is fair, and definitely worth it. Our guests loved the fluff ice treats! Plus, the truck is bright, beautiful and fun and adds a lot of cheer to your party! The fluff ice itself is amazing! I was able to try most of the flavors and my favorites so far are the coconut, Thai tea, mango and peach. It's not too sweet and very light and delicious for a hot summer day. Our guests raved about it and really enjoyed it. I have no complaints or regrets, I just wish they made stops in the OC during covid. I would love to have Fluff Ice more often, but they are based mainly in the LA area but made a special trip to the OC for our party. We will definitely hire them again when we have another occasion to celebrate!

Love these guys!!!! My daughter celebrated her 1st birthday at the park this weekend and we really enjoyed fluff ice cater our event..While planning for her birthday, I knew that it was going to be a scorching hot summer day so I decided to have them come. Fluff ice did not only deliver the most refreshing shaved ice but they delivered smiles and amazing service! Although there were only 2 of them serving 150 guests they served shaved ice for 2 hours. Nick also hand delivered shaved ice to me and my husband and I thought that was a nice gesture since the hosts of the party never gets to eat. They also went above and beyond just to get permits and insurance to serve inside the park without us having to pay extra fees. All in all, we really enjoyed having them and hope to work with them in the future again!

Delicious dessert. Refreshing, light and fluffy for this hot summer weather. A great alternative to heavy ice cream desserts.

Ask the Community - Fluff Ice Truck

Are all of your fluff ice flavors gluten free?

Yes, all of our flavors are gluten free . But we have a few toppings that contain gluten such as the mochi, graham crackers, and Oreos.

Hi! I noticed that some menu items contain dairy, but not candy factory. Can you confirm that candy factory is dairy and tree nut free? My son is allergic to dairy and tree nuts. Thank you.

I can never find this place nor do you guys have your locations posted on Instagram or Facebook? Where can I drive to buy some?

I hired them to cater my family party. I've never seen the ice truck elsewhere.

Is there a way to verify where the truck is? The site says they're closed. The Monrovia location is no longer there. I need my fix :)

We currently focus on schools and private events regularly but once in a while we take part in public vending events. The best way is to follow us on Instagram and Facebook and we'll post our public stops for the week starting in March.

I pulled into the Good Fortune Supermarket (formerly Hong Kong Supermarket) parking lot to check it out. Everything looked new and clean, but business seemed slow because no one was around. Two Asian men sitting around liao tianr-ing (chatting) sprang up as I approached. My Chinese not being the best combined with their somewhat heavy mainland accents meant I didn't know how or what to order. They said they had one last serving of what sounded like "lamb" to me left. I took a glance and saw grilled/fried stuff on the menu, so I said sure why not. I asked how long they've been open, what their hours are, and if they're usually at this location. They said this is the first week they've been open, their hours are around 5 PM to 9 PM, and yes they are usually in front of the supermarket. I asked if I could take pictures and if they had a Yelp page, and they said sure and not yet. Around this time, while I was chatting with one guy and the other guy was preparing my order, a few other groups of people saw the commotion and started inching closer, curious. You know me, always blazing trails. Anyway, it wasn't until I paid and got change that I realized what I ordered. Apparently I ordered the Brothers Features Liangpi. I've never heard of a liangpi, so I was excited to bring it home to try it out. It turns out liangpi is like a flat rice noodle (or mungbean sheet?) cut up with cold cucumbers, tofu, cilantro, and a bit of Sichuan pepper (mala). They gave me a sesame sauce on the side. It was pretty good. In summary: Food was good though I ordered only one thing. I'll be back sometime in the next few days to try out more of their menu. Service was good. I was the only one around for a bit, but they were definitely friendly. Food truck with an "A" rating from the health department. It's a positive, but part of me wants to count it as a negative. Asian street food, to me, just isn't the same without massive cockroaches skittering around piles of rotting vegetables all around me while mosquitoes eat me alive. Pricing seems fair. Definitely not cheap as my liangpi wasn't huge or anything, but it wasn't too expensive either. I hope Asian-street-food food trucks become more popular.

I already came here for tacos multiple times already but felt like trying something new so I got the California Burrito. They didn't give a receipt but I am guessing it is around $12-13. And I think the tacos are now around $2.50-$2.70. They take card and cash but I believe card has tax. They have the salsas and onions/cilantro out in the table in front of the truck so you can grab yourself while waiting for the food. The food took around 10 minutes are so which wasn't bad. The California burrito was nice and big and very delicious. It comes with steak fries inside with your choice of pork or beef. I went with pork after asking the lady which one she recommended. And it was good! There is also some sauce but I couldn't tell if there was any guacamole. Maybe there was but very little. But the thicker fries was just a perfect combination with the pork and sauce. The only thing lacking is a bit more meat to balance out the fries and some guacamole. I tried a California burrito at another taco truck before but this one is so much better! I will be getting this again and try the beef. I totally recommend this taco truck for tacos and burritos! They taste authentic but just a bit pricer for the tacos. I would say it is more worth on Taco Tuesdays when it is cheaper. This is my go-to taco truck spot.
