Honestly I think this place is silly. Was recommended by friend and enticed by the cute photos on yelp. When I went Sunday morning for a a pastry and coffee was disappointed. It is cute out front with flowers but inside is more like a high end Venice gift shop than a cozy cafe. The rose latte was SEVEN DOLLARS for a CAPPUCCINO size. It wasn't the $7 that surprised me (I sub milk and it's a speciality drink) but the size was just comical even for LA. No pastries except shiny donuts and pale croissants. Most telling though, indifferent hipster vibe from baristas. One of those Venice places that seems to be asking why are you here? read more

I'm super bummed to be writing this because I was a fan of this place.. But they have messed up my drink order over and over. I always get the same thing (iced vanilla latte with oat milk). One time they forgot the vanilla and I didn't try my drink until I had already left for work. Today they didn't make it iced.. which I was gonna let fly.. but then I got in my car and it didn't have vanilla in it (again). I've wasted so much money here for drinks they cannot make right. And it's expensive to add on vanilla and oat milk. Some of the baristas have no clue what they are doing behind the counter. 2 months ago they overcharged me, submit a $20 reimbursement, and I never got it. I even went back to the shop to tell them I never got my money back so they took my name and number down and said they would call me back- they didn't. It is great coffee when it's done how I ask, but it rarely comes out right. Bummed out because I was a fan my first two times time and continued to show love on social media about it and got my friends coming here :/ Advice to baristas- please just listen correctly when customers order. :) read more

Really gorgeous little flower shop/coffee shop. The place is right off Lincoln, so it's so easy to pass, but I'm glad I stopped! I got the lavender latte which was very aromatic and tasty. I put in a last minute flower order for Mother's Day and was worried it wouldn't arrive on time. I live in SF and needed something nice to send to my mother in Los Angeles. All the other flower shops nearby were extremely expensive and didn't really allow for customization. Arrived on time and was more than perfect. The arrangement was gorgeous and included my custom message. The wrapping and vase was a really nice touch and my mom loved it. Took 40min for a black coffee. Just one black coffee. Why is there only one person working? One person responsible for making food and making lattes etc. Never coming back. There were only three orders in front. Oh and they don't have decaf coffee. Maybe caught them on a bad day but this is the worst. read more

This place falls short of its potential because of its incredibly poor service. I walked in and waited nearly five minutes for the barista to come from the back room. When he did arrive, he was nearly silent and gave me blank stares throughout our exchange. What made it worse is that the owner was sitting at one of the small tables speaking with someone interested in selling items in their mini shop, and he also did not move or greet me when I came in. If the owner can't be bothered to glance up when the door opens, your establishment won't (and shouldn't) last long. In terms of the product, it was underwhelming and didn't make up for the horrible service. My lavender latte was good but nothing to write home about, and certainly isn't enough motivation for me to return. It's pretty pricey too. The little fair trade shop and flower section are undeniably cute, but so expensive that I can't imagine myself ever buying anything from them. All in all just a disappointing experience. read more

Really cute + trendy little place to grab a coffee and perhaps some gifts. I got a "Lavender Boy" iced and it was perfectly flavored with real lavender. The employees were friendly and the space is super cute. An eclectic variety of knick knacks and gifts line the shelves, and beautiful bunches of flowers are available as well. I visited as a tourist, but if you're a local I think this would be a chill place to hang out. read more

Stopped in for a quick cortado while my boyfriend got his hair cut a few doors away. This shop would fit right in on Abbott Kinney-- super interesting handmade goods for sale + meticulously, grumpily crafted, but delicious coffee. They also have Topo Chico, which is hard to find outside of ~the it~ neighborhood coffee shops in major cities, it seems. But no one needs to tell Flowerboy that Lincoln is it. I would probably never buy their $80 succulents or $400 macrame purses or w/e but I'd go back for another drink. read more

This is a cute boutique shop. It is expensive and only meant to be a once in a while treat. It is also perfect for buying someone a unique gift that creates the effect, "Wow! I have never seen that before! How thoughtful!" This shop is more similar to something you would see in Tokyo or Paris but not in LA, hence it being more expensive than what as Los Angeles natives are used to. read more

I had the best experience at Flowerboy! My son, a regular and Venice resident, met me there for coffee and now I'll be a regular. The shop has such a wonderful, design vide. Part artisan European coffee bar, flower shop and gorgeous, curated, one of a kind merchandise I don't see everywhere. Beautiful jewelry, leather accessories, candles and other home and personal products. I bought a fab burlap market tote with leather handles, perfect for my yoga mat/stuff and room for stopping off at the market. This is the spot to buy those special gifts for someone else or yourself. Oh and gorgeous flowers, unusual "arrangements" you can buy as is or buy loose flowers to take home. Not your boring florist. The staff was lovely, had a great "flat white" coffee on each visit. That Lincoln Blvd neighborhood is thankfully changing for the better and looks like Flowerboy is helping to upgrade that dingy neighborhood. read more

I forgot to say sit down situation with the tables is bit funky. I do not know if they prefer the take out coffee customers, but for those who would like to sit down (and IF that is what owners would like), I would suggest little better table situation. Right now you can sit on a stools outside or on a two nice lounge chairs outsides (but in winter that might not be so nice) and then there is just a lowish counter at the back of the store.
