Laura from Sada's Flowers should get 10 stars out of five! We had her to the table flower arrangements for a garden party. The party decorations included pieces of art on display at each table. Laura did a fabulous job of creating the table vases with flowers of various colors that complemented the art pieces. Many of our guests complimented us on the flower arrangements and were curious to know who did them! Not only was Laura creative, she went out of her way to be helpful and even delivered the flowers to our house on the day of the party. To top it all, the flowers were a great value -- less than $500 for a dozen bouquets, one for each table. This kind of quality, service and value for money cannot be beat. read more

Caution: Sada's Flowers are scammers, and and I have proof. On February 10th, I visited Sada's website to purchase flowers for Valentine's Day. I placed my order, paid with my credit card, and clicked "complete," but the screen returned to the homepage. Confused, I logged out, waited 15 minutes, and checked my email but never received a confirmation. When I went back to the website to try again, the flowers I wanted had disappeared. Frustrated, I gave up and bought flowers from another florist. On February 17th, I received an email from PayPal saying that Sada's was in the process of charging me. I had used PayPal with them the previous year, which is how they had access to my account. I emailed Sada's about the situation, and they asked for my phone number. I provided it, and they called me back. The representative on the phone was confused, and I could hear someone in the background coaching her. She claimed I used an old version of the website and should have used the new one, which is why I didn't receive a confirmation. She also mentioned another flower company was involved in the process, which made no sense because I had ordered directly from Sada's website. While I was on the phone with her on February 17th, they charged me for the flowers--one week after I made the purchase. She emailed me a receipt during our call (see image). Why would they arrange for the flowers to be delivered on February 14th without payment? Who operates like that? In one of the attached photos, you'll see proof: the purchase date (February 10th) at the top and their receipt (at the bottom), showing an unknown credit card was used. I don't own a Discover card. The charge went through on February 17th, the moment I was on the phone with them. The payment should have been processed on February 10th or the following day. On February 18th, I was charged through PayPal. It appears that they somehow accessed my order, didn't have my credit card details, so they used a fake card, told PayPal I didn't have enough funds, and withdrew the money from my account. I tried disputing the charge with PayPal, but my claim was denied. PayPal's reviews (scoring 1 out of 5) show a history of denying most disputes. read more

I wanted to get my friend some flowers so I looked up the closest place to them. I chose Sada's because I had also gotten flowers from this place from someone else. I didn't even know that tea cups and plates were an available option for a floral bouquet so I was really excited to find this one. My friend really likes tea. It was weird when I place the order online that I didn't get a confirmation email for my purchase. I called the next day and got in touch with their answering service and then after an hour of no phone call I called back. I wanted the arrangement to be a bit fuller than what was imaged on the site, so I opted for the "Deluxe" version of the arrangement over the "Standard" for an extra $10 dollars. Beneath the description of the Standard it notes that the"Bouquet will be delivered approximately as pictured." While the Deluxe claims "Additional flowers will be added to enhance the bouquet." Today, my family member sent me a picture of the bouquet, and I'm shocked. The flowers that were sent were not "Deluxe"... they can not even be considered "Standard". The arrangement had even less flowers than what is imaged on the site. Additionally, the flowers look wilted and dead! I cant imagine they would last even a couple days. This bouquet I received is not worth the standard price and I feel robbed knowing I paid for the deluxe. I called the day before a graduation lei for the next day. I was told to come in when the store opens at 9:30. I had a tight timeline because I was going straight to the graduation. I was there before store opening. The lady came in a few minutes late and she didn't have the keys. She called the delivery people and they said they were running late. She said 7mms but it could be 15. They were stuck in traffic. All that to say I had to leave without the leis. That put a damper on the day and they wasted money on leis they most likely didn't sell. My advice: don't schedule a pick up at store opening. read more

That is exactly how I found Sada's Flowers. I live in Maine and my boss lives in Los Angeles. I wanted to get her flowers for her birthday a few months ago and, rather than go through a national company, I did a quick search on Yelp for florists in Culver City and found Sada's Flowers. The reviews were great and the photos of the floral arrangements seemed like the flowers were fresh and healthy. After navigating an easy website, I placed my order and crossed my fingers that they would be delivered, be on time, and look like they did on the site. I'm happy to say that everything went as smoothly as it could have! They arrived right as the office party was happening and I got a message with a photo of the flowers saying, "These have to be THE most beautiful flowers I have ever seen!" (Her husband was in the office when she sent it, so that's saying something!). I can't recommend Sada's Flowers enough if you're in the area or just know someone who is! I have been using Sada's flowers for a couple of years now, only for special occasions when I need flowers and since my family knows I like them, every year they send me flowers from Sada's but I'm sorry to say that this time I was truly disappointed with my order. I ordered a Lei for my granddaughters graduation (from a University) so it was a big deal to me that she have a beautiful Lei. I had gone in 5 days before to order it, to make sure they would be able to order the orchids in time. When I called the morning that I was suppose to pick it up. The First Lady I spoke to couldn't tell me if it would be ready to pick up at 12noon as promised, she said someone will call you right back. I waited over an hour and no one called me back, so I called again and told the person who answered the phone that I was calling about the Lei I ordered and she started telling me oh I'm so sorry but the Lei was damaged because it was left in the refrigerator too long or too much water, I said what! And then someone else took the phone from her and said Oh just give us a little time and your Lei will be ready and I said to her but I need it by 12 because I need to drive all the way out to Ontario. So she said, oh then come at 12:05 it will be ready. When I got to the store, she did take a little bit to get it from the back but she did give it to me. I immediately noticed that it was not as beautiful as I expected, the flowers seemed somewhat wilted. I didn't say anything because I was in a big hurry but the more and more I looked at it, I was very disappointed. I think something happened to the Lei and she (the owner) didn't tell me what had happened in hoped that I wouldn't noticed but I did and I was almost embarrassed to give it to me granddaughter. I actually ended up buying another Lei at the actual graduation from a vendor on site which was much more beautiful than the one I spent $60 on!!! I know I should have taken a picture of it but again I was so disappointed I didn't even want to look at it. Not sure if I will recommend Sada's again. read more

I ordered from this location last week, after reading a couple of great reviews and because it looked more personal than other florists in the area. I decided to upgrade with a box of chocolates. This was for my friend's milestone birthday. She was having a party on Saturday and her actual birthday was on Tuesday. I received a notification that the order had been delivered. I didn't talk to my friend that day because she was very busy and unfortunately her dog passed away that morning. The next day I got to speak to her and while we talked about everything that happened the day before. She thanked me for the flowers. This is when I discovered that the chocolates didn't arrive. She said she would double check the gifts table and the video footage from her door camera. The next day she confirmed that only the flowers arrived. So I called the number for the florist at what would have been 9:00 am California time. A woman answered but it seemed like a call centre and she said it would be passed to the complaints department. I explained to her that I understood this could be human error but I was hoping that they would deliver the chocolates because her actual birthday was the next day. After I didn't receive a call, I called again. I spoke to a different woman whose name may of been Laura or maybe Julie or Sofia. I should have written it down. She was clearly frustrated with my call. She said she would have to look at the drivers manifest and I would have to wait until the driver came back. She also said that she remembered the order and told me how she had wrapped the chocolate box. I said, it didn't make it with the flowers. She said "how do we know someone didn't take it". I asked who that would be. And I explained that the ordered has been delivered not left at the door. And that we double checked. She hustled me off the phone. She was impatient and she said I would have to wait and she would call me back. She did not call me back. I called the next day in the morning. I was really hoping to get the chocolate delivered that day to my friend. She explained the whole process of the truck delivery and I was perplexed as to why they didn't have the manifests for her to check. I asked to speak to the manager when she explained that she was a temporary worker and only came in when it's busy and could go months without working there. I asked to speak to a manager. She said there isn't a manager. I asked to speak to an owner. She refused to give a name and avoided me confirming her name. At this point I explained that the chocolates and flowers were for my friend's milestone birthday. I told her that my friends dog had died that morning and that the flowers were delivered while they were waiting for the vet to arrive at the house. I told her that I was trying to get this resolved because I was really hoping that the chocolates could be delivered to her on her actual birthday and that I was frustrated that the time had been squandered and that I paid $25 USD dollars to add this to the order and it was frustrating that I had to wait for a manifest. She was a little better with me in that call. But she still didn't have a resolution and couldn't recommend one and wouldn't give my issue to someone else. She said she would call me back. But she didn't. The next day, I got a message and a photo from my friend that the chocolate had just been delivered. It was delivered at the end of the day after her actual birthday and days after they should have arrived. But I'm glad they finally made it. No one called me from the florist at all. I had to find out from my friend. And I will not order from them again because of the poor problem solving skills of temporary staff and secrecy around the ownership and management of the shop. read more

When the confirmation email came in, there were instructions to call to see when I can expect to pick up the order, so I called. As soon as I called, there was a woman who was clearly pretty exasperated and overwhelmed asking me to hold before I could even begin. After putting me on hold repeatedly, I try to explain my situation and she continues to cut me off. I was trying to tell her the flowers were for a retirement party so the timing is important to me and I'd like to know when I can expect the flowers to be ready, but I couldn't get a word in as she repeatedly said "We have a lot of orders and they haven't seen yours yet." At one point, I said "Could you please stop cutting me off?" and she cut me off to place me on hold when I asked for an estimated timeframe of pickup. She finally came back to say the time, and at that point, considering it was too late, and because I could hardly get a word in, I cancelled the order. I probably would've been willing to wait, but I was so put off by the disrespect, that I have no interest in returning. read more

A friend of mine's father passed away recently, and I wanted to get her something to cheer her up. Laura made a really nice small arrangement (to go on a hairdresser's stand), with very special flowers. I forgot to say that my friend liked purple but it turned out the arrangement was blue-purple oriented. Intuition? She placed it in a smallish square glass container, and there was a big mum at the front, and a couple of other larger flowers, with some small ones mixed in. It looked lovely in the salon where my friend works, and she was very appreciative. This place is really sort of messy inside, but that's where the creativity comes in, I guess.
