My wife had a baby shower last weekend and I wanted to surprise her with flowers. I got her flowers for Valentine's Day and she fell in love with them. So I wanted flowers for the baby shower. I went by their store to order them and pick out flowers. Unfortunately the store is closed and now you have to order online. I went back and forth to order online or go somewhere else. I made the mistake and ordered offline. Very disappointed in the "fresh roses" I received per the manager from the store. I spent $240 for these dead, chewed up half missing flowers. Gorgeous flowers but terribly unhelpful customer service. Ordered a bouquet for my sister's graduation and the delivery came almost 2 hours late and arrived to the wrong address. She had to change her plans to accommodate the lateness and find the delivery driver at an entirely different address to get the flowers. A massive hassle for someone who was meant to receive a gift and celebrate. Called twice, and they promised to speak to their manager and call me back. No one called me back. Was looking for some coffee and decided to give Flowerboy a try. The inside is an absolute vibe, really gives you the "LA" feel. If you haven't BEAN to @flowerboyproject yet, you'll definitely have to visit soon for their absolute dream of a concept - coffee and build your own flower bouquets. I'm impressed at how they always have such a beautiful, extensive selection of fresh and dried flowers, and how you can build a bouquet of your liking for such a reasonable price. The florists also arrange and wrap the flowers for you, and are always happy to help you pick out flowers if you're confused or lost. Went to Flowerboy to meet up with a friend. I thought it was a coffee shop but it's more of a gift and flower shop with coffee. The drinks are really interesting. They sell flowers by the stem and interesting gifts both of which were nice. But the only seating is outside on some makeshift benches on the sidewalk with no shade. I got a chai/coffee drink which was delicious and some flowers (they has double lilies but they were a browning a little). But the intent was to meet up with a friend so ended up moving elsewhere so we could sit and chat. In Sum: good place to pick up coffee, unique gifts and make a custom arrangement. I've been wanting to come here for so long because it's adorable, and today was finally the day! I got the rose girl (basically a rose milk; there's an option to make it dirty but I actually like it as is) and a Primo's vegan cherry donut. Stunning flowers and no delivery issues, my friend loved them and said they were the most beautiful she had ever seen!

Atmosphere: We were drawn to Flowerboy Project from seeing cute pictures of the shop on Instagram. There were beautiful flowers both inside and outside of the store, as well as cute trinkets and merch in the store. We went in the wintertime so the selection of flowers were limited, but the flowers that they had were still pretty! Service: The store was pretty empty when we went, so we were served quickly by the barista.  Food: We ordered a Matcha Latte. The Matcha Latte wasn't sweet at all, so it didn't really suit our taste preference. If our matcha latte isn't sweet, we would like for there to be more grassy, earthy notes, but our drink didn't have much of these flavors either. As a result, the matcha latte unfortunately tasted like chalky milk that happened to be green.  Overall: We hate to give Flowerboy Project a lower rated review, but the pretty environment could not make up for the bland matcha and the high price. We would probably only return to look around the store and enjoy the atmosphere. read more

The vanilla latte was average, nothing to write home about but nothing wrong with it. The charge for almond milk was a bit hefty imo. The matcha was disappointing. It was a bit grainy, as if the matcha hadn't been mixed correctly. Not much flavor other than the milk. Wow lol, the service here is abysmal. I get that a touristy family isn't part of your ideal clientele, esp cuz the everyone else there was of the "hippie boho LA artsy" type, but that doesn't mean we're any less deserving of common courtesy. I don't think I've ever encountered a more pretentious little store. I was ordering when I misheard the cashier. I said, "sorry, what did you say?" and she snapped back, "Not you. I was talking to my coworker." No smiling, rolled her eyes. Ok coo. We watched them make our orders WHILE eating (ew) and making their own meals-- which had heaping portions larger than the customers' LOL. These girls are def more eager to talk to each other than provide any level of decent service. ICED MATCHA LATTE w/ ALMOND MILK: This has literally no matcha flavor LOL. I need to stick to Asian places for matcha drinks, because I'm pretty sure this is just almond milk with green food coloring. Or very low-quality matcha. ROSE GIRL w/ ALMOND MILK (no coffee): Also tastes like mostly almond milk, plus some rose-flavored powder. Yikes. Lots of food coloring too, ergo the wildly pink hue. There were two girls fashionably dressed, chatting loudly about horoscopes next to us, and the staff were falling over themselves to tell them "thanks for coming" "have a great day" yadda yadda as they left-- but for us, they totally ignored us when we left. One of the more polite staff opened the door for us and said goodbye, but that was about it. Oh, also around the corner are decrepit buildings, litter, and homeless people heckling passersby. I ordered a large bouquet (no vase) for $150 and was so disappointed with the size. What I intended to be a statement gift ended up feeling paltry. If I had gone into the store to pick out the flowers myself I would have ended up with a much larger bouquet (I know this because I've done it before). It was also delivered to my house, rather than the intended recipient so I ended up having to drive them over myself. In short, really cool flowers if you want to go to the store and do it all yourself but I won't be spending the money for delivery from there again. I walked out and the barista and other girl just continued chatting away. No thanks come again, no how do you like your drink, or can we warm your croissant for you, no nothing. The overall concept of this shop is absolutely adorable. I loved looking at the knick knacks (although they were a tad overpriced), the design was very cute, and the workers were very polite. However, I do have to say my iced flat white tasted like murky water with a dash of spice. I'm also not entirely sure why an iced drink came in a hot drink cup, but I'll let it slide since the blue of the cup matched my beach aesthetic pic.
