I was super last minute and dropped the ball on ordering a floral arrangement ahead of time so I called after reading through their wonderful reviews online and boy was I impressed! They took wonderful care of me and within seconds Of me walking in the door they had already started consulting with me about What flowers I wanted to incorporate/ the look I wanted / my budget and overall gave their expertise advice and bottom line they were extremely helpful :) They took their time and I was shocked that the price was so reasonable for such a lovely HUGE arrangement! ) Overall, I was beyond impressed with their talents and customer service; the entire staff is amazing and so nice! Some flowers pictured weren't available but someone from the store called me to make sure I was ok with the substitutes. It turned out beautifully and the receiver was very very happy! If I could give this place zero stars I would. BEWARE! These people are unprofessional and NASTY. I paid them in advance for flowers for a destination wedding that was to take place in March then the pandemic happened. We rescheduled our wedding for a later date and informed Flower Works. It has now become clear that we will be unable to hold the wedding in St. Augustine due to COVID-19 restrictions. I called Flower Works to ask for a refund. They REFUSED!!! They said they have a NO REFUND FOR ANY REASON policy. Even though they have ordered NO flowers and are out NO money, they will not issue a refund. David was extremely unprofessional and hung up on me. There are plenty of better florists in the area. Don't bother with this place. read more

Doesn't even deserve one star. Unprofessional, rude, WILL hang up on you, and couldn't even refund flowers for a wedding canceled due to the pandemic. Every person who we spoke to had no sympathy whatsoever. This is a selfish business that deserves to go under -- and with this strategy, they will. We ordered flowers for my boss' birthday, and they were delivered while we were on a video call with her. The bouquet was absolutely stunning! My boss commented that, outside of her wedding flowers, this was the most beautiful arrangement she had ever seen, and we all agreed. I called in the order, and then called to tell them how much we loved the flowers, and both people I spoke to were so nice, helpful, and pleasant. I was a desperate Mom calling THE DAY OF PROM because both my son and I forgot about the corsage and boutonnière. I spoke to Cassandra who told me that they did not normally do them the day of but she made an exception for me and I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY ARE!!! The fact that she produced these beauties in a matter of hours makes them even more impressive! My son picked them up and, although not usually impressed with much, sent me a pic of them with the caption "so beautiful!". I am telling you that I WILL BE RETURNING! When you give someone an hour to make a bridal bouquet you don't have high hopes. I saw pretty pink roses and thought they would suffice. When my fiancée brought them to me I was blown away. We had a near-disaster when my bridal bouquet did not arrive from our florist for our wedding- I called up Flower Works and they had picked out a variety of flowers in my color scheme and had them out on display when I arrived fifteen minutes later. The recipient sent them a photo of the flowers and both the recipient and the sender were very happy with the floral arrangement that Flower Works created. If I could put zero stars I would, I was very unhappy with everything about this place. I ordered flowers for my wedding 2 months in advance, I had someone recommend them to me. I went into the store to order my flowers and was greeted by David and he helped me with my ordered, I had ordered white and ivory flowers with BLUSH and PINK to be put in them. I ordered a bride bouquet and 3 arrangements. They got delivered on my wedding day and they were completely wrong. The delivery lady showed up with the flowers and read the order form and the order was done completely wrong. She asked what she could do to help but said that there was no florist designer at the shop to make a new ones. So I had to go out on my wedding day and purchase new flowers to add flowers to my bouquet. I called and told them the problem that I had and she had said okay I will have someone call you and get back with you she was very nice. The next day David had called me and I missed his called. He left me a message saying that the order was sent to me in an email. That there should of been noted details in my order that I should of noticed if they weren't correct. I called back after they left me the message and asked to speak with him I was told that he wasn't available so I talked to front store manger Fay and explained the situation to her David had said that and told her about it. I told her how I was very unhappy with what had happened and she asked how much I had spent on the extra flowers and wanted to credit the money back to my account and apologized. I explained that it wasn't about the money and the point of what had happened. She then continued to say that there must have been a miscommunication when I ordered them. I had specified in store what I wanted and it was read back to me with everything how I wanted it. She said that if there was any changes done to the order I should have gotten an email. I shouldn't have to check to my email to make sure what I ordered that was read back to me in store was correct it is not my job to do their job. I then asked to speak to the owner and was denied my request being told that they did not handle theses types of problems. They were very unprofessional and I will not back and do not recommend them being used for wedding flowers! read more

Horrible bait and switch. Don t order from the selection of flowers on the website as they choose to substitute and do wildly different arrangement on their own. I had a specific conversation about the arrangement I want for a muted toned elegant off white arrangement of lilies and roses. What was sent were jammed in red baby roses, white hydrandea and barely opened lilies. When I simply rang back to state ask that the next time I have an order that we stay in the theme of the arrangement we discuss and the flowers depicted, I was told I shouldn t be so particularly. Would advise to not ever order here. Totally confused between a grocery store arrangement and an elegant occasion. read more

I went to two other flower shops in St. Augustine looking for orchids for my wedding at the Reef in St. Augustine the next day. No one but Flower Works had orchids available. I walked into Flower Works the morning before my wedding day, asked them for four orchid arrangements for the reception tables and a bouquet for me. I gave them very little direction for the bouquet, other than, "think of the ocean and use those colors for the arrangement." The next morning, wedding day, my parents and I picked up the flowers and everything was gorgeous! Flower Works did a beautiful job with what I asked for and might I add, they did it completely on the fly for me. Great flower shop, they were wonderful and so nice. read more

I wanted to update saying that the owner replied to my post on Google reviews; however the information provided was incorrect. There was no budget limitation. If they needed more money to accommodate we would have obliged. We were never informed of changes or involved in anyything. The man handling everything outright said "too bad you will just have to let me do what I want. " I was sure to write everything down so my account of the events were 100% accurate. In addition, it was the only company we had a problem with and resulted in immense amounts of unnecessary stress on our wedding day. If I had the time I could have arranged the flowers they gave us better. It was just unintelligent arrangements with small flowers in big jars and big flowers in small jars. I had a destination wedding in St. Augustine Florida in December and could not have been more happy with the service and all of the arrangements and bouquets for my wedding. Because I live in Denver Colorado, I was extremely nervous that there would be communication errors and that my flower arrangements with not be what I was picturing. This did not happen. The staff made me aware from the beginning that if my large white Peonies were out of season that they would substitute some other large white roses that looked identical. They did not have my peonies but the arrangements were so beautiful and still look exactly like I wanted so I did not even notice until a few days later. They were on time and every single bouquet and arrangement had the freshest and best quality flowers possible! They are also more affordable then some other florist and I would highly recommend this company for flowers but especially for special events! Product delivered was nothing at all like the product ordered. Buyer beware. The pictures on the web site are not even remotely close to what you will receive. When asked, the company says "we told you we might substitute". I completely understand a substitution based on availability ... but when the finished product looks nothing at all like what was ordered, I think that is mean. read more
