I brought them back to have the flowers replaced and received no apology, and Shirley even tried to blame us for ordering them too soon, which made no sense. The roses were already shabby looking when they were delivered. Shirley acted like it was a huge imposition on her to make things right, and was terribly rude the entire time we were in the shop. After she remade the cake topper, it still didn't have the ribbons we had requested, but rather than argue, I simply asked for a additional 2 yards to add to the decor. We had no cash on us, as we were on vacation, and she wouldn't run our cards for payment for the $1.61 worth of ribbon. After we came up with $1.11 and offered to go to an ATM, she begrudgingly took our change and rudely said, "I guess I won't starve over 50 cents." I have never received such awful customer service for something that could have been easily solved with an apology, fresh flowers, and a little extra ribbon to try to make things nice. Shirley complained several times about how she's been in business for 53 years. Perhaps it's time she retired.

However, Ace Hardwares amazing Florist has closed its doors and my husband decided to try Southern Grace again due to their proximity to our house. While Ace hardware had FREE delivery within so many miles, Southern Grace is much closer to us and there was a $15 delivery fee. I do hope they will consider adjusting delivery fees based on location of delivery. The flowers my husband had sent to me were absolutely beautiful. We have to be very careful due to us having cats and he made sure to mention no lilies. The flowers were beautiful the day they were delivered as well as 4 days later they still look fabulous. I am not sure what he paid for them to determine value, but I do know that the $15 delivery fee was a bit excessive for a 2.5 mile delivery. I do hope they learn from the bad reviews and throw out or donate flowers that are borderline, rather than put them in bouquets people pay top dollar for.
