Just picture yourself at a commercial nursery where customer service is not important that you want to buy or not. That being said; they do not care and if you're going to have to accept this is a no nonsense kind of place. There is nothing wrong with how they run their business and you just gotta take it like it is. They are expressly knowledgeable and are cheaper than southern horticulture. Mr Lambert has an extensive collection of plants that will not be found at a big box store. I buy my plants that are suited for our area there like Dune Daisies. This flower cannot be found anywhere else in Saint Augustine. His prices are not cheap but he only keeps what sells quickly and they are cared for. I hired them to come and plant a fig, avocado and olive tree. It was $100 per tree. I tried to negotiate but he pays his aging staff $25 a hour. No kids here working. That is far. It's hard work. This is a local business that pays fair wages so support this business.

I prefer to start from seed, but if I want just a few of something (like cabbage or peppers) I'll stop by and grab a tray of starts from the nursery. They also have fruit trees, house plants, bags of soil, and things like hoses, sprayers, and sprays for pests. If you're raising animals, they have a pretty good selection of items for dealing with the needs of pets or livestock, such as feed, hay, pest control, wound care, etc. You can also purchase live chicks here. If you're raising humans, they've got hunting supplies, home repair items, and local food items like honey and eggs. I've even seen rare produce like Seminole squash a few times. Every so often, I've seen order forms for pasture-raised poultry, so I know and appreciate that they're aware of and willing to serve the market that wants a more natural approach. Price-wise (from the garden supply perspective only), I find them competitive with other local businesses, and having the personal touch is nice. They kind of remind me of Ace Hardware in that way.

I find that their plants are very reasonably priced and prefer to get them here somewhere else. I buy for confederate jasmine plants you were in a 3 gallon bucket each with a 3 foot trellis for 19.99. They also have a great collection of soils for specialty plants This is where we also go to get our propane tanks refilled. If you need to do that you leave your tank by the filling station you go in and pay for it and then someone will come out and fill it for you and load it in your vehicle, if you would like . They even have landscaping rocks as well .
