Stylist Sam was available and I didn't name drop until the end of my service. But he knew we were first time customers since it seems all of these guys don't forget a face. Upon walking in, every stylist was already occupied except Sam. We were lucky to have caught him just returning from a break. My son is off to college soon and he wanted a new cut. We had an Asian fringe style in mind, with a photo on his cell, showed Sam what he wanted and the process started. First the hair wash, then to the haircut chair. Both processes were handled by Sam. Sam referenced the photo a few times and even asked questions during the cut to ensure my son wanted a certain side or sweep for his bangs. Very professional all throughout. Both of us were very happy with the results and we will be sure to return again for the next maintenance cut. I saw other customers getting color treatments and the results were fantastic. I told him previous hairdressers had told me to ALWAYS ask for proof of an individual hairdresser's certification. He replied that they are a Brazilian Blowout certified salon and he has been doing them for thirteen years. This pos then asked then if I was going to "trust" and I walked out. I called the Brazilian Blowout corporation and told a customer service representative about this incident. The rep said I was correct to ask to see proof of certification. He also said that the Brazilian Blowout corporation only certifies individual hairdressers. Interesting..... Looks like Xtreme is run by at least one bozo who has no customer service skills and no idea as to how to run a business. As the saying goes you don't get a second chance to make a great first impression. A huge thank you to May and the rest of the team, who took my hair from JET black to the most gorgeous burgundy-ish red. From the moment I sat in the chair until the moment I left, I felt completely taken care of. At one point I wasn't 100% sure which shade of red I wanted. Instead of rushing the decision, they suggested mixing two different reds to create the perfect tone--and the result was absolutely stunning. It's rich, vibrant, and exactly what I was hoping for. I'm currently on my second wash, and the color is still vibrant and beautiful. Red does naturally fade with washing, but so far it's holding really well and still looks amazing. Pro tip: They get busy (which says a lot about how good they are), so try to arrive right when they open at 10am, especially if you're getting color done. Unfortunately, the woman at checkout (who usually wears a ponytail) has now tried three separate times to charge me more than the actual price of the service. When I questioned it during my last visit, she became upset, raised her voice, and even called me "cheap." I always tip and treat everyone with respect, so this was very disappointing. I would advise other customers to confirm the price before getting any service done. Based on my experience, the price has been changed at checkout, which is not fair. As a loyal customer, I expected better treatment. This felt very unprofessional.
