I live in Deland, Fl. Christian was the person that gave me the quote to remove a single tree in my back yard. It was a large tree. The agreed price was ok. The removal of the tree included the stomp removal. In the process of taking down the tree they damaged my neighbors fence. I was promised at least 2 times by Christian that they would take care of this and would grind out the tree stump. I have left messages several times with no response. Service like this is what gives tree removal companies a bad name. My advice is to pay after the job is completly done. We hired Florida's Tree Masters to remove two trees. Unfortunately, the crew left our lawn uneven and damaged, and destroyed part of our hedge. Christian, Bob, and Joey assured us they would make it right, but that never really happened. After months of calling, texting, and repeatedly following up for updates, all we received were a few scraps of sod that were not installed properly. I understand mistakes happen. I work in customer service myself. What I don't understand is making promises and then failing to follow through. Based on our experience, I can't recommend Florida's Tree Masters. Initially a great experience, and I even had them do some additional work they suggested at an additional price. Then I had to chase them about the stump grinder for a week. Now no one will take responsibility for finishing the job by getting rid of the resulting mulch. I now have a $4000 pile of dirt in my front yard. And now they ignore all of my calls and texts. They were in the neighborhood doing work. Knocked on the door and asked if I wanted anything done. Quoted a price for trimming a queen palm to which I agreed. Told me they would be there in a couple hours after they finished the other job. Never came by or called. I called the person who contacted me initially and he said he would have the supervisor call me. Never heard from them. Christian and his crew arrived promptly, and they were able to tackle most of the project in a day, with the final step completed the next day. Their pricing was very reasonable, the workers were courteous and considerate of the property, and they cleaned everything up nicely. We had read some of the not-so-positive prior reviews, but after my Husband and I spoke with Christian we decided to have some grace and give this company a chance. (And they provided their Certificate of Insurance so we knew we'd be covered if anything went wrong, but absolutely nothing went wrong). Do not hire!! Last summer I hired Jason's crew to remove a patch of bamboo and they never finished the job. I paid $2,200 and the patch was cut back, but the stump grinder couldn't reach all the shoots since they grew beside a fence and palm tree. The bamboo is now growing back stronger than ever. To get the job done Jason texted I'd have now have remove the fence and release them from liability for damage to the fence footings or tree. Another week and they are working down the street and Christian said I had added work which wasn't true but he wanted to renegotiate the price so I just walked away. They came out, did tree service in Nov of 2024, were doing work in our neighbhood and came door to door. Went with them because they have "20yrs of expierence, and we're licensed and insured". His team did great until the supervisor left, and they damaged the skylight literally 5 mins after he left the site. I had expressed major concerns BEFORE they did the work about it being broken because of how they would need to remove the trees as our backyard didn't have good access or safe ground (moles and voles are the devil for your yard) so they'd have to do via the roof. "Not a problem ma'am we'll be careful, I'll be here for the entire removal, blah blah blah, etc etc etc" then he leaves the site after saying he's gotta run to another before the job was over. That was my first worry. And as you know 5 minutes later, we hear them break the skylight. I called the "supervisor" and the "owner" to inform them both. They tell me they'll get it fixed. I trusted them, and even paid them in full for the job, on the promise they'd sort it out and repair it. Because ya know, "20 yrs and all" Well, it's currently JUNE OF 2025 the skylight IS STILL BROKEN, and everytime I ask about it I get the same sob story, "I've been busy, things are crazy due to holidays etc" basically the run around. So if you don't want to be screwed over and chasing someone to repair what THEY BROKE, I'd suggest anyone but this team. read more

What started great in terms of timing and completion ended with them ghosting me when the final step was not completed even though I'd paid for all. My first contact with Jason when I realized the stump grinding photos sent to me to believe all was done, were not accurate and half of the last stump was still hanging in the air, Jason responded he would get the stump grinder back to my place. Avoid this company! A representative quoted a price for a partial tree removal for a tree that was damaging my garage. When the crew arrived, I was told the quoted price would not cover what would need to be done since it was a complex and time-consuming job. I agreed to the new price. I job was completed in less than four hours. When I asked why it took so much less time, they gave no answer. Mixed bag here. They did a good job on the two palm trees. We had trees on the side of our house that were just hacked at. Deep saw cuts in trees that were not to come down. Still waiting, two months on, for the stumps to be ground. No response to calls. Best as I can figure, they give an overall price, come out with only the tree cutting team, offer to take $200 of the price as a "deposit" on the stumps as, according to them it's a different team that does that, and then ghost the customer until they give up waiting. read more

In August of 2023, I had two tree's trimmed and one removed. They did not return to do the stump grinding for 4 months. And when they did show up, with no notice, they ended up grinding my neighbors stump instead of mine. In March, my neighbor had a tree removed by them as well and they had promised to grind mine when they came back to do the neighbors. They came back to grind his stump but still have yet to grind my tree stump. And now it has been 7 months since they started this job and they still have not completed it. They took down a large maple in my back yard and trimming 3 maples in my front yard. I asked if the would save much of the wood from the maple for me to use as firewood which they happily did.the stacked all the wood in my yard neatly so I can cut to size later. The front and back yard were spotless by the time they finished. You would never know I had work done! The price was in line with what other tree service companies charge. They presented license and insurance info when I requested. They showed up on time and did exactly what I asked them to do. They were personable and professional. The more I said no to his quote the lower the quote got. The crew came out and cut down the tree but left my mailbox jacked up and hydraulic fluid from their equipment ALL over the driveway and street. I contacted James and asked him to come over and look at the way the property was left. He said he would the very next day. He never showed up. He said he would come over and "make it right" 6 times. I paid them to clear my 1 1/3 acres from trees and they didn't finish the job by leaving a few trees behind not cut down (reason unknown) and they never came back to fix my fence they took down and damage to the siding on my house from one of the trees falling and hitting the house AND they tore down about 30 feet of my neighbors fence to put the pile of trees for the truck to pick up and they left a small pile of the trees on my neighbors property and didn't fix the neighbors fence either. I called their sales person numerous times and after a few times of leaving a message the phone was shut off and I called their office multiple times and spoke with the receptionist or left messages for at first anyone to call me, then after a few calls, for the owner to call me and I received one call back after my 1st call to the receptionist from a gentleman who said he would have it all taken care of by the end of the week. That was 7 months ago and after many more calls to the office by me I still have never heard back from them. The pile is still in my neighbors yard. Both of our fences are still not fixed AND the siding on my house is still messed up. The entire neighborhood hates us now from all the mess, especially that neighbor who called the cops on us about the mess and broken fence Florida's Tree Masters made on their property. The sales guy made a lot of promises that never were fulfilled, and their ownership obviously doesn't care about the poor level of service since they would not call me back to even discuss it (after that one call that was completely unfulfilled). I contacted this company because they did a job down the street. They came by shortly after and talked about what they recommended and gave us a quote. A week later they arrived to do the job with a big crew and got things done very rapidly even though they had to climb in 3 trees. Their arborist came also by to look at another tree and recommended we have it cut down immediately because while it looked pretty decent, it was in bad shape. So I gave them the go-ahead. And guess what? The tree was all hollow and rotten in the main trunk. Glad we took that one down. A few days later another person came by to grind the stumps. Both days they cleaned up very well. note: they were actually significantly cheaper than the random person that knocked on our door 2 weeks earlier with the story " we are working in your neighborhood and ....." read more

The salesperson used the owner being a Christian as a tool selling tool, and the service was a nightmare. We are thoroughly disappointed with Florida's Tree Masters. We chose this company because they had a certified arborist, but now we just feel ripped off. Dave, the arborist, and Austin came out and gave us a quote and said it would be $200 more if we also wanted to have the two trees in the front removed. When they came to do the work the Forman, Mike, refused to honor that and wanted $550 to do it. Because Dave and Austin didn't write it on the quote Mike wouldn't budge from his price. We were disappointed, but they were there and we needed the tree work done. They had a large crew of at least six men working most of the day. When we came home from work we saw that they hadn't finished clearing in the back, which was on the quote, and they didn't trim the low hanging branches in the front. Then I found out from neighbors they went next door and worked at his house for half the day. When Dave and Austin came back for their payment we explained what wasn't done and they agreed to come back and finish so we paid them. BIG MISTAKE! It's been about a month and a half and they still haven't come out to finish. My husband has called numerous times and received excuses, but no concrete date of when they will finish. We used them after hurricane Ida all but destroyed one of our oak trees. They did a good job cleaning out the dead parts so we also had them cut down a pine tree on our rental property. The did not cut two widow maker branches on the remaining pine and we have not been able to get a receipt from them. We need this for our insurance company. We had a great experience. Adam came out the day after I called to give us an estimate then they came two days later and stayed all day (big job, we have five acres). They gave us a very fair price and we are so impressed with the quality of work. They cut two really big trees down for me along with a number of smaller ones. They did a fine job and would have gotten a 5 star rating but they had to come back to fix big rutts in the ground. It took too long for them to come back and i don't know if they would have had i not told them i would give a bad review with a deadline. DO NOT USE THESE FRAUDSTERS!! Leah came out to quote getting some trees trimmed above my pool cage on a Friday. We set the appointment for Monday. I stayed home Monday to let them in the back and make sure everything went well. Well, Monday came and went and they never showed. No calls or emails either and they made sure and got BOTH of those from me so they could "contact me if something changed". I heard nothing back from them until Thursday when I get a call from Leah telling me they were in my backyard ready to go. I told her that she was supposed to be there Monday and all she said was yeah we had some things come up but we're here now ready to go. I told her circumstances had changed and I would just do a few of the limbs and not everything we had planned before. She said "I wish I would've called before because they have already started". I told her "yeah, it would've been great if you guys would've called before". She said hold on a minute, then hung up. I get home and the idiots left my gate open...still not sure how they got back there with a closed and latched gate that has no opening on the outside. And low and behold, they had not cut a single thing like she said. Read the other posts. The majority of people are telling that they are scam artists as well. Stay away.
