We had an excellent experience with David and crew at SB tree service today at our house in Ponce Inlet: removing a huge dead Norwegian pine, a tipping palm tree and a bunch of other random trees. They were in and out, cleaned up their mess and property was in great condition. They were friendly, professional, quick, efficient and reasonably priced to what our other retired tree guy said it should be. Much appreciated guys! read more

They did a nice job on the Palm tree. Giving it the pineapple cut! Very pleasant to work with.

I first encountered SB Tree Service when they knocked on my front door while handling a job for a neighbor. I wanted a few big boughs of a live oak away from my driveway so I had them do an estimate. One of their licensed arborists came and pointed out a number of other issues with the tree that I had not previously noticed but were clearly problematic. They did the work of opening up, redirecting, and trimming the huge oak incredibly quickly. Their huge team had the place cleaned up and hauled off within about 20 minutes of starting the job. After paying, I could hardly believe the price I paid could make it worth their while with such a big crew. I spoke about it with the owner, who basically said that they could afford to keep their prices so low by doing jobs so quickly that they could do more jobs in a day. I was so happy with their service that I just had them come out and trim up my other large trees to prepare for hurricane season. Once again, I was blown away by their speed, price, and great work. Dave did a great job contacting me and keeping in touch to schedule the work. The crew did a great job making my trees safer and healthier and getting it all cleaned up really fast. read more

I have used this company before, so they were my go to company when my 30' Norfolk Pine died over the winter this year. From the first phone call to the tree removal was less than 5 days! My home is a rental property and Dave remembered me from the previous work he did. He really looked after my interests and sent me photos from the initial walk, right through the day of work. Dave came out within about 2 hours of my first phone call on Monday, sent me pics of all everything I needed done. I needed the Pine removed, and my other trees trimmed as the limbs were all growing onto the roof. I received photos along the way, the team is professional, they use professional equipment, and sent me the document I needed for the HOA to take the tree down as an emergency. As they have arborist's on staff the letter is acceptable to the state for the emergency removal requirements. Dave and his crew are really great, really friendly! Office is great as well. read more

18 March 2025, Palm Coast, Florida. Tree trimming, tree removal, shrub removal. They were on time, and did everything as promised, took away all the debris, and even used a leaf blower to pretty up the area when they were finished. 100% satisfied. Tom Earley read more

We have used SB Tree numerous times and they continually exceed our expectations. We have had simple trimmings to numerous tree removals and they have always done an amazing job. The entire team is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We have even had them execute complicated extractions of excessively tall bamboo and they did so safely and accurately. While they are not the least expensive, I can honestly say these guys are THE BEST! read more

My other half and I had recently purchased our first house knowing it needed tree work done asap. 5 of them needed removed as they were inches from the house and large. We had contacted other companies for estimates and had called the week prior to move forward with the job but hadn't heard back from any of them at that time. SB was working on a neighbors yard and Eddie was going around to the neighbors with their cards. Our house was one he stopped at, I asked for them to come take a look at what we needed done. Dave was at our house within minutes addressing our concerns. He did not yes everything we were asking, he gave us realistic expectations on how this process works with the city and what would need to be done for the safety of our home and any maintenance after, etc. After speaking with him we decided this was the company we wanted to go with. By that afternoon the city's arborist was at our house to approve what we were doing and 48 hours later the job complete. 5 trees down, 6 stumps ground, a large amount of roots that had grown to the surface were taken down around the property and remaining 6 trees were groomed with not one branch left behind for us to have to clean. As many companies promise to give great results we can honestly say SB not only did that but far exceeded our expectations. From the communication to the work done, this company and every employee were true to their word, experts in their craft and made sure everything was done properly so we could have a safe home. We can't say enough good things about our experience with SB and how smooth the process went. Thank you for guiding us and making our home safer! read more

Justin was very helpful in giving us information about the trees we have at a house that we just purchased. We are new to the area and wanted to learn how to care for the trees we have on our property. Justin and his team were very professional and efficient in removing one tree and trimming the others. They layed mats down to minimize the damage to the front lawn. They were careful not to damage any existing landscaping in my yard as well as the neighbors. Before they left they cleaned everything up and did a walk around to be sure nothing was overlooked! I would definitely use them again! read more

I requested a written estimate, and was asked to send photographs. I sent the photographs, and got no response. I inquired why I did not get the written estimate , and still got no response. From Christopher F., Owner, Aug 28, 2023 You were spoken too[[to]] and given a price but we would not allow our employee to write up something stating that another company caused damage to your palms in order for you to take legal action. We have[[gave]] a coat[[quote]] to trim your palms but will not be able to assist you with what you are looking for. You were called and text and responded to immediately. This is a false review I have no idea what you are talking about. I needed a written estimate for removal of two palm trees only, and Mr. Michaelson wasted my time. For the record, I never made (nor would I make) any asinine request for a written estimate stating "the previous company damaged [[my]] palms." Your response is also a complete contradiction to the earlier statements made to me... From David Michaelson, Aug 19, 2023 at 9:54 AM Steven, I never give estimates over photos. I'm not seeing where you requested. Any type of estimate from us. From Steven H. The 11 photographs were sent to D. Michaelson on May 12, 2023. Excellent, highly professional company! From the beginning, the company was responsive and followed through. I used this company twice. The first time was to trim my palm trees and cut some hedges back. They were so good I went back. They removed 7 small ornamental trees, 1 large tree, cleaned up our tree line in the back yard and trimmed our hedges on the side of our house. They ground up all the stumps that day. I spoke with David throughout my experience. He was nice, prompt, thorough, honest, and followed through efficiently. He was always at the front about everything. No surprises. He was available for questions, and solution oriented. I was impressed. At one point there was a slight miscommunication about the stumps being ground. I noticed that they weren't. I contacted David and he immediately had the stump grinder come back out that day and correct the situation. Not to mention that the stump grinder was a very pleasant individual as well. Both apologized for any inconvenience. All work was done efficiently. No waiting hours on then for them to show up again. Highly recommend this company and working with David read more

I used SB two years ago with no complaint. I called them on 5/28/24, & they gave me an estimate that I accepted. Work to be done 6/5 or 6/6 or 6/7. I agreed. Didn't hear from them, so I called on 6/7. I was told an estimator would call me back in about 10 minutes. Never heard from anyone. I called again today 6/10/24. Got a callback, but couldn't give me a date & time to do the work. Said he would callback in a few minutes. Again, no call. I guess that now that $2000 belongs to someone more reliable. read more

SB Tree Service, LLC Review If you need any form of tree service ...You Must Read 100% Unsolicited. My name is Ray. CHRIS FOREST & his wife & Partner ANGEL, owners of SB TREE SERVICE, LLC. This husband and wife team are both Board Certified Arborists. They both know, care & share the world of trees & shrubs and THEY GENUINELY CARE!! There is nothing to think about. I had four different Tree Removal estimates literally in one morning timed one hour apart. There would have to be qualifying reasons for me hiring one of the four companies. First, I needed the job done immediately. Second, I needed a fair price and a commitment that the job would be executed flawlessly on completion & inspection. The Cty of Ormond Beach was truly very kind to me, connecting me with the city arborist, who expedited the permitting in a very timely manner. Thanks to Angel Forrest. She is a very important & educated Board-Certified Arborist & partner in this company. I needed many very large trees removed with stumps aggressively ground out in preparation for concrete slabs & footings that were to follow shortly after. the tree removals In addition, many other smaller shrubs & thick brush were to be completely cleared out. In addition, an entire half acre of large trees needed to be trimmed up and pruned, including very difficult large limbs extending all over the screened-in lanai and the pool. A most concerning phase for most companies who do not own these specialty & yet very necessary machines. SB Tree Services has them all. 'No Need To Call on a Friend' The project scope also included the entire front yard & completely overgrown driveway canopy of trees elevated & trimmed. Lots of work & tons of wood & log removal & a massive amount of chipping and shredding. The key to executing a job like this must be having a GREAT AAA+ rated team of trained skilled employees working together in harmony. However, it is imperative that the company must possess the proper equipment to execute this difficult project without occurrence. Re: Lanai, Fence's, Landscape, etc. I did all the leg work & research for all of you who might need tree services. SB Tree Service's price estimate was right in the middle of the four bidders. Not the cheapest and not the most expensive. SB Tree Service's execution was both impeccable & incredible! It was like a beautifully scripted & executed play on Broadway. Chris said the machines would arrive & start on Monday around 7:30 AM. We woke up early and I saw all the rain because we had that hurricane coming up out of the Gulf. No Cancellation!! Not postponed !! The rain did not stop him from keeping his promise. All of the men knew exactly what they needed to do as Chris orchestrated & went around the property with the huge team of trained seasoned professionals assigning each their job tasks. Every crew member was on different equipment required for that particular tree & task. Giant chipping trucks were placed strategically, Robotic Boom trucks were directed carefully to specific places on this job. Multiple Telescopic bucket trucks were planted, leveled and then elevated above the screened lanai. Pay loaders and other tractors were busy moving the heavy logs to be hauled away. Tree climbers were ascending other trees. It was all just incredible. Each crew member was executing precisely every detail assigned to them. All the trucks were rolling and all the equipment was moving in harmony. Hire SB Tree Service. Rest easy. You will be 100% satisfied. You will be hiring THE VERY BEST COMPANY that displayed exceptional professionalism, highly skilled labor, and an unbelievable execution of every detail. A massive project and when they left, it was immaculately cleaned & swept as if they never cut a single branch. It was like having a front-row seat in a long-running Broadway Hit. 'Dancing In The Rain" Thank you Chris & Angel sincerely, for your perfection. You truly cared about us. Over & above all expectations. Ray & Tyler read more

We are rating them poorly because there was COMPLETE DISREGARD for our landscaping. They plowed over plumerias, a bed filled with crossandra, broke pots with plants in them, cracked the sewer cover & we watched a worker drop a palm tree right on top of a landscaped bed completely ruining it. They cut palm trees & rather than taking them to the curb as agreed, they took them into the state owned wetlands behind the house which is not permitted. Now we have to figure out how to get them out of there. We didn't discover this until several weeks later. We had to confront the workers to do the agreed upon work. They drove an huge piece of equipment into a neighbor's driveway to cut a tree down that was on the property line & never asked permission of the homeowner to enter their property, for which my husband had to make ammends. Even though they took care of most things I would never, ever, ever hire or recommend them. read more

Made appointment for palm pruning. Never showed up. Not trustworthy. Maybe just two palm might be to small of a job.

So yesterday I was sitting in my backyard and looking at all my palm trees. I'm thinking, oh geez, I need to have them trimmed again and get all the seed pods out of them. But it's always been a bit of a struggle to find someone to show up And do a good job at a fair price. This morning. Knock on the door from someone with SB tree service, smart marketing. They were working in the neighborhood and going door-to-door. Myself and my neighbor both took them up on their services after Damien, the project manager looked evaluated and came up with what I thought was a fair price for the amount of work that needed done. The team got to work. That was at 9 o'clock this morning. It's 1130 and they're already gone and my yard is cleaned up. They trimmed and topped nine palm trees took down one very large palm tree, and took down a Keylime tree that I didn't want any longer as well as trimmed up some shrubs. I am so pleased. Damien was very nice and professional. The guys that worked in the yard were a well the oiled machine you can tell they are a team. I like the fact that they are licensed and insured, and they did haul away everything. Definitely keeping them in my contacts because I will be using them again! read more

I called SB Tree Service for an estimate. They showed up quickly, gave me their estimate. Their estimate was $1,200.00 more than my lowest estimate, which is 75 percent higher and $1000.00 more than my second lowest estimate. Their price was obscene. It was a skinny maple tree, $1,600.00?? Really? I just had the tree cut down by another company and saved $1000.00. Please shop around, get multiple estimates to make an informed decision. read more

Had minor issue, but happy to report they came out and fixed it right away. Thanks SB

Removed a tree next to the house and stump grind, I also had to use their Arborist to satisfy the HOA. They were on time, had the equipment to do it right and with with a good ethic of getting it done without a bit of drama. The workers were all professional and seem to know their jobs well. Seem a little bit on the high side on price but not to much more than other estimates , but the equipment they brought would indicate they have a big investment in having the stuff to get the job done without the risk to persons or Property. I would recommend them to anyone who has a difficult tree to remove read more

Made an appointment this past Monday for an estimate, they never showed.
