The short version of this story is the beginning of the experience was good. They walked around the neighborhood, gave me a fair quote, sent proof of insurance and provided a date for service...very professional. The date ended up changing and only one of us was home, which was fine. Our neighbor even signed up for service after we let him know we were removing a tree between our yards we had agreed needed to be removed. On the day of service, the trees and a major branch were removed. The rest of the job was poor quality and there were branches we used as an example of what needed to be trimmed that did not happen. When I got home, I saw the poor quality and what was missed. I sent them to Owner. He apologized, said he was unable to check the crew's work, and told me they were in a different town that week but would make good on it. Since then, after countless polite emails for over a month, the Owner has never bothered to respond. I really wanted to give them the opportunity to make good on the job and they have not. So my recommendation if this company comes by, even if they send you the quote and you are researching, don't sign it and choose another company. When you know you have to check the work of a crew that missed really obvious branches just above eye level, it tells you about the quality of people who work there. I spoke with the neighbor and he confirmed he would not use ABT again either. I have photos and will likely be sending those with a formal complaint to the FL Dept. of Business and Professional Regulation. With Hurricane Milton just moving through, I thought it was important to get the message out in case this company walks your neighborhood looking for work. I usually prefer to write positive reviews for businesses, but in this case I thought it important to protect consumers, especially after something like Hurricane Milton.
