To see the sun set with such dramatic colors in the sky, while knowing that it will rise again the next day, hopefully it can instill and renew hope within you to muster up the strength to face whatever challenge you are facing on that day. We stayed briefly and didn't stay a while. Maybe all three of us thought of different things, but to coexist in that beautiful moment was nice enough for me to want to go back again soon. The view was really nice. Words can't describe how I felt so please stop by yourself and feel for it yourself. The walkaway and parking was kinda tricky for me. It's nice but then again it's accessible to anyone so it can be rough depending on what kind of crowd is there. You might have to walk around like we did to find few good picture spots. The roads are two way but kinda tight so if you are driving around in an suv like me, please be mindful of the size of your vehicle while on the road!

Some different friends who also Disc Golf had said it was one of the best courses around so I finally felt the urge to make it up there. The open a little early which is nice too. Entering the park is impressive in itself. There are so mnay things going on from a large lake spanning waterpark, wildlife all over, a BMX park that's a good size, and of course, the disc course. The things some had said that was obvious immediately, is that the place had far more rolling hills than any park or place in South Florida. I started off at the top of a hill and had to through down to the bottom of the hill. There were shots later where I had to throw over a pond and up a hill. From the elevation changes to the great forest and water holes, it really was worth the drive. Heck, I've been back 2 more times this month already.

During the COVID lockdown, walking the trails became my favorite pastime. Especially as a pregnant woman looking for peace and fresh air, lol. Years later, those same trails are still a favorite activity for my son and me. More recently, I've taken up disc golf and was excited to find out the group I joined regularly plays at the Okeeheelee course. It's been such a fun and engaging experience! Just yesterday, I attended a picnic at one of the park's pavilions, and it was wonderful. The swings and playground next to the pavilion made it perfect for a family-friendly event. The space provided plenty of seating and shade, so everyone could enjoy themselves without being overwhelmed by the heat. There's still so much of this park I haven't explored yet, and I genuinely look forward to continuing to visit for years to come.

We went out and had our little memorial service with family and friends. Phil marked the coordinates for me where she was laid to rest. He then proceeded to troll to another location. Soon we were catching fish. Not being fishermen he coached us on how to land them. I caught a 20# Wahoo and my daughter caught a 20# Kingfish along with several smaller fish. It was a tough day but I'm sure my wife Debra was smiling down us. Phil's great personality and love of his job made this day something we will all remember. Thanks Phil

Fishing is fishing (not called catching) but we didn't get skunked, and any day of being on the water and fishing is better than any day working! I will definitely be out with them again to catch some more! And I got my dad (60yrs old) to go out with me and he had a blast, he was scared about it at first thinking he wouldn't be able to keep up and being on open water, but he wants to go out again he had such a fun time!

They supply the gear, the Kayak and the knowledge to put you on the pelagic fish! Caught a nice size king fish, Mahi, a mutton snapper (was a bit too small and we caught it on accident fishing for more blue runner bait) and even lost a fish that slammed my bait and made a huge splash.
