Super awesome fruit stand! They have fresh Florida orange varieties, fresh squeezed Orange juice, and a variety or marmalades. Lots of cool souvenirs to check out that are Florida related. They have unique real alligator heads with real teeth as a weird qwerky gift. There are real live baby alligators in a fish tank to look at. Stacey was very kind. The bathrooms were clean. I have always patronized this gas station for its oranges and after school snacks for my autistic son. Every experience has been great except for my past one. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with an extremely rude and unhappy employee by the name of Renee. I pulled into the gas station and she told me "not to park my car at HER pumps if I wasn't getting gas". The thing is, I was getting gas, I just so happened to be on the wrong side because she was walking across and I stopped my car so that I wouldn't hit her with it. Her abrupt attitude and attack towards me for parking at HER pump when she thought I wasn't getting gas was crazy. When I asked her why she was so rude, she argued with me in front of about seven customers that she wasn't rude and that she said PLEASE. Very unprofessional and nasty. As a business owner myself, I would be highly disappointed if any of my employees treated my customers as she did me. read more

Super good place to stop before arriving in St. Augustine proper. Friendly, open customer service - Teresa and Jack. Wide assortment of souvenirs, ranging from oranges (of course), to jams, jellies, preserves and luscious marmalade. An additional fun element is the coconut heads they have on a stand. I been meeting my granddaughter mom at this location for years and never had a problem. Today around 11.30 we was standing at the gas pump talking after she pumped the gas the manager or whoever she was came outside and yelled you'll need to move go to a parking spot. First of all i take you'll as a racist name we are not you'll. I feel she could have came to us and ask if we could move from in front of the pump. Then she said you'll been standing there for a hour which was a lie. She was very unprofessional.The cashier is a angel. She was very friendly and polite. She even welcome us to the store.The manager made us feel like she wanted to call the police on us we was the only african americans at the store at that time. I usually buy the orange juice by the gallon. I want go there again i can meet her across the street to be talked to with respect. One bad apple will spoil it for barrel. read more

For a random spot in the middle of Florida, it's a cool place to stop for gas, go to the bathroom and buy some citrus. The store is filled with all sorts of Florida gifts and souvenirs including jams, honey, and gator sauces and seasoning options. They also have all sorts of shells, beach decor like a blue painted stair fish, mugs, magnets playing cards, etc. And let's not forget the baby alligators (alive af) in the tank!!! You can even try their freshly squeezed orange juice before you buy it and Cindy was a very nice employee. Prices for the jam/jelly/marmalade/butters were about $10 / jar so not inexpensive but also priced fairly considering it's typically a small-batch production. read more

Stopped here in the way to St. Augustine because they had a sign advertising "live baby gators", and "free sample of orange juice." I mean, who DOESN'T want to see a baby gator and get some free OJ?!?!?! The Citrus Center is just off the 95, and is flanked by two other large buildings that boast having incredible nuts, fruits, and fireworks - will have to check THOSE places out next time..... Anyway, back to the Citrus Center.....I was really impressed with the variety of souvenirs and bric a brac (most of which SCREAMED Florida) that was available for purchase! Not sure why this place has bad reviews - there is so much here, and the prices seemed reasonable! The baby gators were so stinking cute, and the juice sample was amazing! Will definitely be back for a T-shirt, shot glass, and a coconut piggy-bank (yes, you read that right). I recommend you stop in as well! Safe travels! read more

Marketed to bring you in to their disney clothing and alligator heads. Honestly so sad because i was so excited to try all their exotic fruits! Iv never seen so many signs saying bags of 1$ fruit bags! I was so excited to go all out and spend enough to bring fruit home for my whole family!! The 7 bags of their 1$ bags of fruit were 2 lousy oranges. So confused on why they promote their fruit so hard since its mostly fireworks and Florida merchandise i feel dooped! I purchased a Chinese lantern to light so it didn't feel like a complete waste of time. Really disappointed, but the 30$ bags of grapefruit were really delicious they offered free samples, but definitely not an affordable stop. I only gave 2 stars because that grapefruit was fresh and my lantern was 100% biodegradable :) read more

There are two kinds of people in this world - ones that roll their eyes at places like this and ones that are giddy with anticipation as soon as they see the very first billboard screaming "free orange samples" and "come see our giant gator." I'm firmly in the latter camp. I LOVE me some roadside crap stands and Florida Citrus Center does NOT disappoint. While not *quite* as awesome as the billboards lead you to believe, it's still a solid road trip stop and worth 15 minutes of your time. That "giant gator?" Well, it's a big lacquered dead one but dang if it isn't big. The baby gators? Yep, they have a very nice and spotlessly clean aquarium displaying them. The babies ARE alive. If you are in the market to buy some Florida oranges, this is the place. I'm not sure if the prices are good or not, but my oh my do they have tons of fresh citrus for sale. And if you like dead gator heads, real alligator feet backscratchers, postcards featuring topless women and / or fat and hairy men, and picture frames / mobiles made out of shells, get ready to drop some serious cash here.
