Absolutely amazing meal at Florette! This little cozy restaurant offered simple eats with big flavour in every bite. We started with some yummy cocktails and quickly moved to bread, so crisp and warm served with a perfectly creamy butter. We then moved onto the hamachi crudo, beets and mushroom (not pictured). The crudo was probably the best dish of the night! The fish was a very good quality and had a lot of ocean flavour to it, complimented very well by a light but fragrant Thai curry sauce that did not overpower the fish flavour. It's dressed up with crunch elements in the form of light fried noodles on top and apples, forming the perfect harmony of flavour and texture in each bite. The clams were a close second to the best dish. The nduja sausage really brings a bit of heat and meaty juices to each clam bite, enhancing the oceany sweetness of the manila. Good thing they served this with bread, because we aren't letting the sauce go to waste! Our mains were the vodka sauce rigatoni and pork chop. They were both relatively simple but the rigatoni sauce packed a lot of flavour! Finally we close off with a rich decadent but not too sweet chocolate tart. The restaurant really is a bit cozy though. Tables packed the restaurant to the point that coats were gently brushing against the side of the table when people passed, and we were seated right at the door so a lot of people passed and we enjoyed a chilly breeze everytime it happened. Nonetheless, the food was incredible and I can't wait to be back! Maybe in a seat deeper in the restaurant. Definitely order the clams and the hamachi!

Wonderful experience at Florette! The restaurant had a cozy vibe and was beautifully decorated. I especially loved the detailing on the ceiling. We stopped by for a drink and dessert. I ordered the chocolate tart, which was delicious. It has a buttery texture and just the right amount of chocolate. Service was great too!

Everything we ate at Florette was good, if not great. I was so excited to eat the pasta that we ordered that I forgot to take photos of it. The pasta special and the heirloom tomatoes were definitely the standout items; the rigatoni was good as well but I wouldn't recommend getting it if they have another pasta special for that day. The service was fairly quick and the server was friendly and very welcoming. The interior is beautiful but the heated back patio where we ate was also a nice opportunity to enjoy the beginnings of fall weather. I would definitely make a return visit if I was in the area again.

Florette, located along Queen West near Beaconsfield Ave, serves up funky food and cocktails. The main highlight of the restaurant is the floral ceiling above. They are only open for dinner and have a simple menu with interesting dishes. If you would like they also offer a chef's choice menu as well (with 2 price points depending on how many dishes you'd like to have). The space is small yet intimate and they do have a small back patio as well. I opted to dine at Florette recently with my husband. I had made reservations ahead of time as we were going on a Saturday night. We arrived on time and were promptly greeted by staff where we were shown to our table (the one at the very back!). Throughout the night the restaurant was busy and I believe they also have some space for walk ins as well. Service was friendly and staff were attentive. They have a small selection of wines by the glass or bottle and a unique cocktail list. I opted for a glass of white wine while my husband opted for a housemade soda. Food wise, we ordered the following items: - Heirloom tomatoes (whipped labneh, zaatar, black opal basil, and tomato caramel vinaigrette. Staff did tell us it would be best if we ordered the bread and butter with this dish as well (since the bread would work as a great vessel for the creamy labneh). - Bread and butter (Forno Cultura semolina sourdough and grass-fed butter) - Bone marrow (beef chili, cheese and tortilla chips) - Rigatoni (vodka sauce, peperonata, parmesan, basil) - Pork chop (brandy cream, cabbage, bosc pears) Overall the food was a great! The bread was to die for - it was warm and the perfect sourdough you could imagine. It paired perfectly with the tomatoes and labneh. The heirloom tomatoes were extremely fresh and the components of the dish worked well together. We both enjoyed these 2 dishes together. I also had a bit of the butter and it was delicious as well. The bone marrow was unique (I liked the tortilla chips), however, we both felt that the beef chili overpowered the bone marrow. As a result we didn't taste much of the bone marrow itself. The rigatoni was made perfectly was there was a slight spicy kick to it. The pork chop was executed well, juice, as well as tender. The brandy cream sauce it came with was divine! Overall, we enjoyed our dinner. The bone marrow was a bit of a let down but the other dishes were good. We were too full to have dessert but I have heard good things about their desserts.

Florette has a stunning ceiling and an intimate vibe. The menu options are pretty limited but what we had was good quality: - bread & butter - chicken croquettes - manila clams - rigatoni - chocolate tart We also wanted to try the stuffed poblano but they were out. Service was very slow after the appetizers, but the staff were very attentive and friendly. It's also very loud in here. I honestly wasn't crazy about the food but it definitely wasn't bad either. I left still wanting more for dinner. However, the menu has good intentions and is very thoughtfully put-together. Nothing stood out but it's a nice place to try and the menu changes frequently so I would come back!

Florette has a beautiful aesthetic that, unfortunately, overshadows the food for an overall average experience. The cabbage and nduja clam dishes were winners and the pork chop was okay. However the asparagus which is served cold, and the bone marrow which was unexpectedly a nacho dish reminiscent of Taco Bell were disappointments. The servers were very attentive and of the cocktails I tried, the sesame and pisco ones were quite good. While adventurous, I'd skip the miso cocktail. An interesting spot to try once but probably not one I'd try again.

The mojo salad is astronomically delish - the vegetables taste incredibly fresh & crisp, & the dressing is divine. The rigatoni is also perfectly al dente - I had to do a marinara sauce instead of the classic vodka because of my dairy allergy, but the sauce was wonderful, & somehow didn't taste like a plain marinara. With that said, I do wish there were a few more options for us lactose-intolerant folks, as I didn't have much to choose from when it came down to ordering off the menu. There's really nice ambiance to the place. A really pretty ceiling & a nice intimate mini booth at the back near the kitchen all contribute to a very cozy feel. And the service was phenomenal - several people stopped by the table to help out & they were all incredibly kind.

The restaurant was cozy and absolutely beautiful. The ambiance, food and drinks were amazing - the whole trifecta effect. Perfect place for date night, girls night or a small group dinner party. Food was all shareable style and everything I tried was delicious. I really enjoyed their cocktails, all the drinks I tried were unique and tasty! The presentation of all dishes and drinks were top notch and I could tell a lot of thought was put into creating each dish/ drinks. Service was great, all staff were genuinely friendly people. For those that appreciate decor - all the light fixtures were different/ unique, and they also had vintage plates and cups that were personally thrifted! I want to give a shout out to Jerry and Matt for an incredible experience - I highly recommend Florette and will be returning :)

Literally my new go-to in the city. The drinks are authentic, unique, and bursting with flavour. I highly recommend the "not from the sea", or ask for a Ramos gin fizz made by Jerry (the owner). The menu is a delight, I definitely recommend the beets. I will be coming back for sure!!!

I really wanted to love this place. The interior was gorgeous and my server was amazing but the food was super disappointing. I was rlly excited to try this place as it's new and had pretty good reviews. I was also super curious to try their interesting cocktails as well but was so disappointed. My drink tasted like super watered down day old coke. The trout was super fishy and stuffed peppers had no flavour. The corn pakoras were the best part of the meal but even then it was just okay. Maybe I came on an off day but the people around me also didn't seem like they were enjoying the food

Recently reopened after renovation and feels like you're dining in a painting! Their menu is seasonal and changes every so often, so definitely go try the dishes before they're gone! We especially loved the stuffed poblano and the roasted cabbage -- there's a lot of options for vegetarians too given it's a small tapas style menu! Everything tasted divine and looked beautiful, including the drinks which have ice cubes so smooth it disappears into the liquid! Mirage island was my favourite They make sodas in house that has more subtle favouring than their namesakes and aren't super carbonated. Don't skip dessert either! The peach cake was light and fruity while the chocolate tart was crunchy and decadent without being too rich/sweet :) Servers were also super on top of things and happy to answer any questions we had!

Impeccable. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive without being overbearing. I felt welcomed from the second I walked through the door. I ordered the Avocado Salmon Toast paired with the beautifully pink and perfectly named Pink Flamingo drink. My friend went for the Sweet Berry Waffle and a classic lemonade. Let me just say--the flavors did not disappoint. The salmon was fresh, creamy avocado was piled high, and the toppings were thoughtfully layered. My only tiny critique (and I say this with love): the toast itself was a little too crispy for my liking. It made the dish a bit tricky to cut into, and the texture leaned dry. Next time, I'll definitely ask for it untoasted or lightly toasted. A softer base would really let those flavors shine without the crunch competing. Now let's talk about that Pink Flamingo--WOW. It was tropical, sweet, and honestly gave me vacation-in-a-glass vibes. I almost ordered a second, but adulting (and budgeting) called me back to reality. That said, it's worth every sip! I snuck a few bites from my friend's Sweet Berry waffles, and yep--I'm getting that next time!! Light, fruity, tasty!! I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. Who knows, maybe next time I'll get to sample a few more dishes Seriously though--support local and give this place a try. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.
