Brought it back and the shop worked on it again, replacing a couple more parts which were deteriorating. The light went and stayed off...for 2 days. I took the vehicle back to my old mechanic in Pasadena. He fixed the problem and told me that Ed's had missed a couple of things. Evidently they replaced something that didn't need replacing and left a bad part still in the system. WTF? I don't doubt that Ed's was on the right track, but where they fell short was checking all the way through the problem to see where all potential causes could lie. Having to bring a vehicle back to the shop more than once to fix a problem you identified is a huge PITA, not to mention $$$. I'd rather bring the car in once and pay a larger bill rather than several times and feel like I'm being taken. Lesson learned...when you've been receiving good service from a shop for 20 years, you stay with them even if you have to drive miles out of your way. Will NOT bring my cars back to Ed's.

I came here for brake job and thought it was one price but ended up being a different price. Norm Reeves quoted me $646 for all 4 wheels with new pads and resurfacing the rotors. This place charged me $640 without the pads. I supplied the pads because I get free replacements from Auto Zone so I thought the price was only $500 but when the job was done they charged me $640. So an additional $140 ($35 per rotor for resurfacing) because they have to send them out to get resurfaced somewhere else. Hye Tech Auto Repair in Covina quoted me $500 with resurfacing the rotors because they can do it in-house. If it wasn't for the price confusion I would have given them 5 stars.

My husband is mainly the one who interacts with Dino and Rod when he brings in our car, but I can say with confidence that we always get amazing customer service at fair prices, unlike the prices at the dealer. They're honest and don't recommend services that our car doesn't need. It's quite a story, but last year our car was stolen off their parking lot and because we had an air tag in the car, we could see where the car was. My husband was on the phone with the cops who kept redirecting him to other police departments since the thief kept driving around different local cities who were in their jurisdiction. He eventually called Dino and told him where the car was moving around. Dino managed to locate the car and recover it from the person who was taking it for a joy ride. I don't know what happened with the thief, but we got our car back with no damage and just the smell of cigarettes, some missing loose change and cup holder. Dino was kind enough to replace our cup holder and detail our car after this whole crazy event so it came back smoke free and clean. This is unheard of customer service - what shop will chase down a car thief? I'm still amazed every time I think about it. I highly recommend Valley Mercedes for your MB - they will really take great care of your car. You won't regret it!

Probably a wheel bearing, but Toyota dealer's tech said "front bearing," but then master tech said "rear bearing." Tire outlet tech said "both rear bearings." -Fortunately, TL Motors has special microphones (!) that positively identified the left rear bearing as the culprit. At about $1000/bearing, you don't want to be guessing. -Yes, while they were at it, I ended up following their recommendation and having all four struts replaced. But this was not an upsell; I'd been running on original struts and they were shot. Not sure why Toyota dealer (where I'd been servicing the car) missed the disintegrating struts. The Highlander is now riding like new. -Three other pluses: 1) they show you the replaced parts as evidence they've failed, 2) they provide free Uber/Lyft shuttle service, 3) they thoroughly wash and detail the car, which is something the dealer never did.

Although there weren't many reviews for this place, I figured I'd go and get a quote and determine if it was reasonable. When I walked up, Victor was working on a car. I told him the AC problem on my truck. He asked me a few questions about my truck and the AC then said he would inspect it for about $28, which is very good compared to other auto repair places I've seen on Yelp. After he inspected it, he told me there were 2 issues, one which could have costed me hundreds to fix and the other was it having low freon and needing a recharge. For the first issue (a broken flap blocking airflow between the dashboard & engine compartment) he gave me a simple alternate solution that would avoid having to buy and install costly parts, he would just tie the flap up to allow for strong AC airflow and it would be considered part of the recharge cost. I said yes!!! I'm glad he was very honest and didn't try to upsell me. The total cost was about $120, much better than I've seen from other shops and a very fair deal. He gave me a cool start to my summer. I'm definitely coming back here again!

I managed to get it over the Grapevine, but unfortunately it broke down again and I eventually had it towed to their shop. Being so far from home with my family and not knowing what was wrong with the car was extremely stressful. They weren't able to work on it that same day, but they got started on it Monday, diagnosed the problem, and went above and beyond with the repair. Instead of just replacing one failed part, they replaced the related components in the system so I wouldn't have to worry about another failure shortly afterward. What really impressed me was that they managed to get everything finished around 4:00 PM, which gave me enough time to make the long drive all the way back to San Francisco that same day. The repair wasn't cheap, but after driving the car home, I feel it was worth every penny. The entire drive back was smooth with absolutely no issues, and honestly, the car feels even smoother than it did before. Most importantly, they took a situation that had me extremely worried and gave me peace of mind. I'm incredibly grateful for the quality of their work, how quickly they got it done, and how helpful they were throughout the process.
