    Stromboli

To start Im contacting yelp to add a 6th star just so I can give them one!!! I saw this place while going to the dry cleaners "same mall " so we gave it a try . And oh my word this place is a step into Venice small dark crowded and you would swear you just teleported to Italy for dinner I had the Stromboli and it was great I MEAN GREAT!!!!!! the marinara was seriously amazing maybe the best I have had my wife had the clams and linguini both were large home style portions hands down the best Italian restaurant In Dallas or may I say all of Texas

Very good service, yummy fresh bread with butter, and delicious food. We got calamari which was fresh and crispy and comes with lemon slices and marinara sauce. My boyfriend loved the meatballs in his ziti and said the sauce was good. Everyone liked their food! I got the chicken aristocrat which had chicken and eggplant on top of creamy alfredo sauce with spaghetti noodles. Margherita pizza and chicken florentine were super delicious too. It was all really good. Relaxing atmosphere too. Only got a picture of the calamari because we scarfed everything down, will definitely be back though.

We really enjoyed our visit. Great food. Very quiet. Easy to have conversations. And it's BYOB. Ask for Calyssa when you are here. She is sweet and caring. She took care of us. Her service made the experience so much enjoyable.

    Spaghetti

Lasagna should be taken off the menu, it's terrible. I also got the spaghetti. The spaghetti was eh, I could have gotten A can of ragu. No flavor at all

    Shrimp Florentine

I got shrimp Florentine and fried ravioli. My partner got fried ravioli. There was a lot of shrimp, which is good, but I thought my pasta tasted pretty bland. The pasta was expensive, but it really wasn't a big serving. The meat lovers pizza was okay. The fried ravioli was ok, it was only cheese and had no meat. The dipping sauce was good though.

Piece of plastic perhaps? In the Frutti di Mare which had no fish in it. This was definitely not a bone or a dry piece of pasta!

Sat immediately, but long wait to order and much longer, wait to receive food, which was not even what I ordered. My husband's Frutti di Mare had a FOREIGN OBJECT in it! First he thought it was a fish bone, but there was no fish in his dish, and we looked closer at it to see a very thin 2 inch long piece of plastic! Definitely not a piece of Angel hair pasta, either! My Eggplant Parmagiana was mistakenly made as Eggplant Rolotini. I accepted it because it would have taken over 20 min for the kitchen to make my original order, and we were hungry. It was SO BLAND! The ricotta cheese rolled up in the eggplant was absolutely plain! No seasonings or flavor whatsoever! We will not return.

    Welcome to Florentina's

He had many recommendations and was very warm and attentive. The food was spectacular. I had the seafood pasta with the white wine sauce and it was some of the best I've ever had - honestly. The food was amazingly good--one of the best italian places I've had in a while. Our service was subpar. We were a group of 5 people all around the age of 23-24, and it seemed like our server just assumed that made all his shortcomings okay because he tried to act kind of bro-like with us. There were multiple periods of time where we were left alone for anywhere from 10 minutes to 40. It took us a LONG time to get our food even though we were one of maybe 4 parties in the restaurant. One friend got told they were out of something, ordered something else, and the waiter went, "that's a joke, right?" and told him they were out of that too. His entree came out almost a full 30-40 minutes after the rest of ours so he just packed it up to-go. Only a halfhearted apology that everything was taking so long and no type of compensation. The food was good enough that I would go back to try again since partner and I live in the area. But i really hope we don't get this guy as our server again.

It looked expensive from the outside but it wasn't. We were seated right away. They brought us some good bread to nibble on while we ordered. The tea was a little weak but I'm very picky on my tea. We ordered parmesan and garlic bread for an appetizer. It was huge and super tasty. The dipping sauce was very good. We also ordered a spaghetti bolanase. We didn't realize until we were ordering that they do a BOGO half off deal on entrees every Tuesday, as long as everyone orders an entree. As a result we definitely had too much food on the table but it was nice for our party of 7 to try a bunch of different things! I didn't have time to take pictures of it all, but we started with the bruschetta and the sautéed mushrooms. Bruschetta came out hot and great as usual, but the mushrooms were a bit salty. The complementary salads were nice and light and our servers were great at refilling waters and bringing out more free bread throughout the night. For our entrees, we ordered the creamy lemon shrimp pasta with spaghetti, the eggplant parm with fettuccine, the lasagna bolognese, the shrimp spezia, the tortellini bolognese (one of the specials that day), and the dolce e salato & cesarini pizzas. My favorite items of the night were the dolce e salato pizza (the sweet and savory combo was excellent and the crust was light and fluffy) and the shrimp dishes - the shrimp was cooked very well. I'm not a big red sauce person but the bologneses were also pretty good. The long noodles were a little mushy in all the sauce but the tortellini was not bad. Portion sizes were huge so we took three boxes of leftovers home! And one of the ladies at the host stand helped us take some nice group pictures outside the restaurant after our meal. For a solid local red sauce joint that will fill you up and then some, look no further!

The meatballs were very succulent, bathed in a tomato gravy that you'd want to lick every drop of from the plate. The focaccia, on the other hand, had a pillowy interior, and the crust almost seemed caramelized, with a slight sweetness that paired nicely with the tartness of the tomato gravy. For our main course, we ordered the Cacio e Pepe, Spicy Gemelli, Pesto Rigatoni, and Bolognese--all were phenomenal.
