I have been to this cafe a few times. This day I called in an order and was told it would be ready in 15 mins. I drove from Apache junction, that's 26 miles one way. When I got there, I told them I had a to go order and I stood there over 20 mins. The waitress was a smart ass when I told her I called in my order over 45 mins ago and still had to stand there 20 mins before she came up. My food was so cold. Not happy. Ordered a BLT extra bacon on toasted sourdough with sweet potato fries to go earlier this week. Told 30min, OK no prob. I show up on time, order is ready, I pay, I go home, near the winery - not far. I open the box, soggy cold fries looks like they were just thrown in there, slivers of bacon, a leaf or lettuce and not even full slices of tomato, end sliver pieces. Apparently this had been ready long before I showed up in the 30min window I was given. Now I work from home near the winery so not far but I did not have time to go back! I was hungry so I ate it but it was very disappointing, 180° different from my sit down experience of the same meal. Now with things costing more these days, it was upsetting to pay for a meal that was ill prepared, cold and soggy! A BLT is the easiest sandwich to prepare next to a PB&J. Great small town cafe! We had French dip sandwiches with fries. The beef was great, the bun was fresh, the au jus was perfect and the fries were yummy! Great waitress and the meal was out to us very quickly. The restrooms were spotless as was the restaurant itself! I have no problem at all giving this place 5 stars! Nice place! read more

Shoes walked in, was immediately greeted and told to sit anywhere. So I did. A booth near the front. The place wasn't crowded....yet. I turned my coffee cup over and it was filled. I placed my order, a bacon and cheese omlette, hash browns, biscuit. My order was up in 5 minutes. I slathered my omlette and hash browns with Arizona Gunslinger red sauce, and got down to the eatin'. While the portions weren't large, the biscuit was, and I was full. I went there with international people, they didn't treat us well, they were unfriendly with us. Even the waitress she smiles for everyone except our table, and some of our group people are from Africa and I assume that this is the reason. (Color different). Pretty standard fare. Staff is friendly. Prices are okay. I ordered their classic burger lunch. You get the options of fries, salad and soup. I went with the soup of the day which was Baked Potato soup. Kind of coagulated. Nothing special. The burger isn't that big. Standards come with it. Lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions. I held off on the lettuce. They gave me a lot of pickles. To many. If you want ketchup or mustard, you gotta add it yourself. I got a side of Mayo and some A1 for mine. This burger is SUPER greasy! But for a total of 8.15( including tip) it's not a bad price. If your in town and want some standard food, this is one place to check out. If I have my choice, I go to Tag's in Coolidge. read more

An undiscovered treasure in downtown Florence; you'll have to get off Hwy 79 and go near the courthouse (495 North Pinal Parkway Ave.) to wander in and be greeted like family. You won't have to wait long even if the restaurant appears to be full; it's like loaves and fishes the way they get the food up quickly - hot and fresh! Some of the sassy waitstaff are really cute and funny, not offensive, so bring your best sense of humor along with your appetite! If you leave hungry, it's your own fault. read more

Gave this place a second chance but now I'm done. Tried to call in orders at lunchtime but no one would answer the phone. Ended up going in placed my order. Was told it would be 20 mins. Ok fine two burger orders. 45 mins later foods done. Burgers dried out and fries cold and slimey. Fries probably waited for burgers for 45 mins. Servers however did manage to get to orders done quickly for people that were obviously family. Stay away horrible service and sub par diner food. Ugh! read more

The breakfast menu is rather small, but there are some solid choices. My husband had the "Amigo" omelette that was filled with lots of meat. I had the "SMS" omelette which was filled with spinach, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. Unfortunately all of the filling ingredients in my omelette were in the middle, so I had lots of bites that were just egg. My husband's hash browns were crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. My small pancakes were a bit tough, but I like having the option of pancakes instead of toast. Food used to at least be okay.. now everything on my plate has evidence of it all being stuck to the pan. And you can definitely taste that. My toast was dripping with a butter substitute, and I mean drenched. The hostess/busser would not even look me in the eye and couldn't be bothered to stay for the entirety of our drink order, she ran off without a word after my fiancé said root beer and he had to shout "with no ice" as she was already across the restaurant. Our server responded almost in autopilot to things we said without allowing us to finish. Also the lock on the bathroom does not work: my fiancé was walked in on by an kitchen employee while using the restroom because of that. read more

Florence cafe waitresses are always friendly and the food that I have had has always been excellent.

After two years of looking for a decent omelette in the state of Arizona, we came across the Florence Cafe. It was really good to have an omelet that didn't have the consistency of a dr. Scholl's foot insert. Everything about this place was good. I had the Florentine omelet. It was very delicious and fluffy. The coffee was really good. The hash browns were actually Brown and very delicious and the bread was fresh and good. I'v got to say everything about the place was really good. read more

Every time I come in here, I order the chicken fried steak skillet with egg whites and it NEVER disappoints. Staff is friendly and makes you feel right at home. I will continue having my weekend breakfast here for as long as they are open. :) read more

Visited February 17 2017, 11:45 AM - 12:45 PM. Poor service. Ordered the Tuna Melt w/ Onion Rings. Was not offered any particular type of bread. Menu does not say what type of bread it is on. Took 20 minutes to actually GET the Tuna Melt. Came out on Rye bread, which I do not care for. Asked for a Tuna Melt on White bread. That came out soggy, barely cooked and slapped together. Could not eat it. Onion Rings were fine. This was my second trip here after a previous poor experience. Thought I would give them a second chance. Bad idea. In addition to the terrible sandwich and long wait time we paid $2.59 for each soda. No refills were ever offered, drinks ran dry before the end of the meal and no one ever came to ask how the remade Tuna Melt was or to refill our glasses. I was with 2 other people one of whom is my colleague at the Pinal County Justice Complex. She said her meal was O.K. Our other friend had a "dinner" salad which turned out to be a small side salad that cost $4.39. Unbelievable. I told the cashier about the issues, since our waitress never returned, and she just said "sorry about that"; and offered no resolution. 2nd time here and LAST time here. My wife and I have eaten here four or five times since November. The meals have been pretty good. I love biscuits and gravy, but all of the gravy that I have had in my life has sausage mixed in with the gravy. I've requested that they add sausage to the gravy, but it doesn't seem to happen. Today we came with another couple and the cafe was busy, my wife said her omelet was burned on the bottom, but it was too busy to send it back. The wait staff has been very friendly every time we've been here. The place seems to be clean. My wife did mention that the lock on the women's restroom is still broken and does not lock it's been that way for some time now. This issue has been mentioned to the staff, but nothing seems to get done about it. I think she is going to let the health department know about this if it's still broken then next time we are in. I'll probably go to Tag's for my biscuits and sausage gravy future. Rich read more

This place has gone downhill. The food was "ok" at best today. The spinach mushroom Swiss omelette had hardly anything in it. I didn't get my hash browns with my chicken fried steak, there was barely any gravy which seemed packaged compared to before. My daughters eggs were undercooked and mine were over cooked.
