Beautiful interior, excellent service and meh food and good dessert. 1. Reservation: highly recommend. Especially during lunch and dinner peak hours. They are open throughout the day. 2. Drinks: 4 stars Cocktails: quite delicious but very sugary. Beautiful presentation. 3. Food: 3 stars I don't like to eat anything here. I tried almost every dish here and I cannot recommend anything. - dumpling soup is small portion, good if you want something very light - duck fried rice: deep fried duck was not good - spring roll: also very much deep fried to the point the skin is dark brown and I don't like that - Pork basil dish: again, it was not good - calamari: small portion, again, so much oil 4. Cafe/bakery menu is delicious. - Early grey creme brulee was great! 5. Tea/specialty coffee drinks are not only delicious but also visually amazing! However, very high in calories. 6. Interior: amazing! I love their decor. I just wish their food was good.

Flore Cafe is absolutely gorgeous and incredibly picturesque. I tried the high tea experience for two, which featured a delicious balance of sweet and savory treats. As a first-timer for high tea, I was thoroughly impressed. The staff greeted us warmly, and we enjoyed a quiet corner for our meal. I'm definitely looking forward to returning to try the full menu downstairs! Note that the first two hours of parking is free.

Very cute spot and I'm glad I got to visit. It's like two restaurants in one! My friend found it online and chose it to celebrate her birthday dinner. We sat inside a room that felt like inside of a library. I ordered my go to thai favorite, drunken noodles with chicken. Although I ordered it spicy it wasn't hot enough. I did ask for pepper on the side and I got a few different options - they only helped a little. Service was good from beginning to end. They have great cocktails and a good wine selection. My friend enjoyed her birthday celebration and I was happy about that! Parking here is a bit tricky. I ended up parking in the garage for Wegmans which offers the first two hours for free and then you pay after that. I don't venture out to this part of town often but I'd visit again.

Deliciousnessssss! Quality and quantity was served correctly. Papaya salad was served so delicately and all entrees went above and beyond for our expectation. We initially came here for the cafe but didn't realize it was inside this restaurant as well! The thai tea was also very delicate yet milky. Thai food was plated with such great care at this place :o!

Came here for the Amalfi Coast themed afternoon tea! Reservations are recommended and gratuity is included when pre-booking. The pastries and savory bites were plentiful -- honestly more than I expected. The service was also wonderful: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They had a great selection of teas to try. Flore Café adds its own Thai twist to traditional afternoon tea, which is unique and creative. Overall, a lovely spot with great service and delicious bites -- just keep in mind that the afternoon tea here leans more modern and Thai-inspired than classic English. I'd definitely come back to try more from their menu!

A bridgerton vibe, cute and cozy with delicious treats. Absolutely loved the ambiance. Felt like I was in a novel. Will definitely be back to try the high tea experience and to have some thai food.

Let me begin by saying that this is solely a review of the Afternoon Tea at Flore Cafe. We did not try the regular menu but reserved the specialty tea for Valentine's Day. We were greeted immediately upon entering and shown to the upstairs loft area which is separated from the rest of the restaurant and appears to be reserved specifically for afternoon tea. The setting is lovely, with flowers woven into the screens, classic marble topped tables and a trickling fountain set into a wall alcove. Our waitress greeted us with the tea menu (we had the tasting tea, which meant we could have as many different teas as we cared to try), I chose to begin with The Queens Guard, organic black Ceylon tea blended with stately rose and fragrant lavender. It turned out to be my favorite tea too. Our Tea was served in courses, beginning with fresh warm scones and a choice of strawberry or vanilla cream to top them with. The scones are small but tender and delicious. The next course was a glass of pumpkin soup and a roasted root vegetable salad with blue cheese dressing. The soup was so good I probably could have eaten a whole bowl of it! Then came the 3 tier tray filled with savory bites and sweets. These included a cheese straw with truffled dip, an individual sized berry trifle and cherry rolled cake. For Valentine's Day there was also an iced brownie heart and ganache heart. Portions were ample and we were stuffed by the time we finished. Service was very quick and our waitress was wonderful. We always had full water glasses and full teapots. Overall, this is one of the best value Afternoon Teas I have had in the DMV and I would highly recommend giving it a try. Reservations are essential as seating is limited. For the holiday I reserved a full month in advance. Parking is in paid lots/garages only although on the weekend the first two hours were free so we ended up not having to pay.

The food & drinks were FANTASTIC and one of the best that I've had in the Tysons area. The interior is very beautiful with a wall of books, paintings, and flowers. The presentation was well-done and the service was quick for walk-in guests. A great variety of dishes!

The interior decor of any sisters location is fun. This one has a library room that felt bright and light. Service was hard to come by for some reason. Tofu and fried rice was good but the table agreed the duck and other meats were too salty. Not too many vegetarian options. Not a fan of the 2-hour free parking situation as it feels a bit rushed with a big brunch group. It felt like everyone was dressed in sundress brunch attire, which was fun.

My friend and I dined at the cafe on a Monday, soon after they opened. I was pleasantly pleased. While I was told I couldn't just get a plane waffle, I got the mango one with sticky rice, ect. ect... This also came with two scoops of ice cream and whipped cream. Ya'll it was a lot, but it was good. I'm such a waffle "connoisseur" and the waffle was perfect! One of the best I've had in the DMV. A smidge flaky AND crispy, and soft on the inside, and delicious tasting. Everything else on the plate wasn't too bad, but really, i feel all the extras could be condensed. I did see another customer receive just a waffle, so I really hope if i return at some point, that I can order just that (knowing it would be the same price). I just don't need all that extra stuff on the plate. My friend had a croissant with Nutella, and you could hear the flakiness of it as she cut into it. She loved it. The service was kind. It's a beautiful space with nice French and Italian-sounding music that fits the ambiance. I'm interested in trying lunch/dinner there. But I'll definitely be back for breakfast sometime.

This is all you get to eat for $79 per person

Beautiful space and cute little high tea snacks, but that's about it. They charged $70 for tiny bites of food, even the scones were bite size, and automatic 20% gratuity included. Also charged me a $18 for a minions in a skinniest flute glass I've ever seen. The FOH was also a bit stand offish and rude. There was a miscommunication about my high tea booking. I called 3+ weeks ago to specifically book the high tea, and they put me as a regular dining. For lunch downstairs. I had to ask them we wanted the White Lotus High Tea reservation and that's why we came. The hindsight is 20/20 because it ended up being over priced and we left very hungry and disappointed. They didn't give us anything that took more than two bites. It was a very frugal high tea experience and we've been to many in the area and abroad. lame. Also the whole White Lotus was theme was just a bunch of lotus moldings they used to shape the tea snacks.

I have gone here twice. The space is gorgeous and elegant, it is hard not to live. I love how clean it is including the washrooms. Once for my moms birthday and the other with my friends. The service was lovely and the attendants were super attentive. My mom's birthday was in September and for both visits I went for high tea. I enjoyed the tea it was wonderful . I preferred the September menu over the November menu. But both were decadent and delicious!

Once inside, I was greeted by a hostess and seated at a table for two. Throughout my one-hour stay, I was checked in upon. My water glass was kept full, and the check came to my table in a timely manner. 2) Food: Hungry, I ordered the papaya salad, tom ka soup, and the mango and sticky rice for dessert. I also ordered the Thai iced tea. Every dish was a little different from other Thai restaurants across the country. The papaya in the salad was thicker and not as soaked in the flavors. The soup had large, cooked onion pieces in it. The rice in the dessert was a slight green color. The Thai iced tea was more subtle. Despite the uniqueness of each dish, I enjoyed each one. 3) Space: Decorations color the walls in the one-room dining room. Unisex restrooms are in the very back.

Now, the restaurant itself is deceptively unassuming. It's tucked inside a strip center behind a bank and next to two other (well rated apparently) restaurants with only a handful of seats, both indoors and outside. DO NOT let the appearance deter you from sitting dow and enjoying what will be an unbelieveanly good meal . We kept it simple - we started with the special fish dumplings (fish based dumpling around a pork/mushroom filling), the Yum Woon Sen and their house Drunken Shanghai noodles. My wife asked for mild, and j asked for medium on the spice levels The flavours were simply divine. The portions were perfectly sized in this era of gigantosaurus dishes and the service was helpful and friendly. The only possible negative comment was that my medium spicy was leaning toward the mild (ok - it was actually mild) side of the spectrum. That's certainly an issue that can be overcome - and is always better than falling on the other end of that spice spectrum where you risk having your face melt during the meal. We will definitely be back - and cannot wait to explore more of the menu!

It leans toward Northern Thai regional cuisine, bringing a more complex and adventurous flavor profile than the familiar dishes we usually find around the DC area. Considering McLean's generally conservative, affluent crowd, this restaurant is a refreshing kick of bold flavors. The space itself is modern, spacious, and spotless. The staff were attentive throughout the meal, and the presentation of each dish was thoughtful and appealing. They also offer a nice selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. We started with the curry puffs, made with vegetables instead of chicken. They were delicious--small in size but packed with flavor, balancing sweet, savory, and just a touch of heat. The green mango salad was crisp, fresh, lightly spiced, and wonderfully summery. For my entrée, I had the vegetable sukiyaki with thin rice noodles. It was well seasoned, flavorful without being overwhelming, and hearty enough to be a satisfying meal. Overall, Sorn Thai offers a refreshing take on Thai cuisine with regional dishes that stand out from the usual fare. After 8 minutes, our food came out hot in large flat bottomed bowls. The portions seemed reasonable. The chicken fried rice had several pieces of white meat chicken, scrambled eggs & nice assortment of veggies. The smell & taste test passed with good amount of wok hei in every bite. My son finished 99% of it. He gave it a 10! My medium spicy chicken drunken noodles had a good amount of heat and very good portion. The Thai flavors of hot, sweet & salty were all there. Ordered the spice tray for more heat & added vinegar-chili for that sour kick to cut through the rich flavors of the noodles. Only problem was that some of the chicken pieces were overcooked and hard & plastic-like. Not ideal but better than undercooked. 8/10 Overall, service was okay but the food was very good!
