Always been a fan of this place for years, it has gone over multiple ownership changes but today lost my business. I can understand an automatic tip on a large party of 6+ or even 8+... it was two of us. They automatically added 21% tip on the bill without asking me or notifying me; bill was $94 for two appetizers and two entrees but he charged me $114 which I thought was odd. They then proceeded to give me the bill to add ANOTHER CUSTOM tip. Luckily I noticed he charged me significantly more. I have never had that happen anywhere else in the world. If you go here make sure you keep an eye out, but in my opinion that lack of principle and honesty loses business. I will be telling everyone I know to go elsewhere. read more

Honestly, this place is really good! The photos seemed promising so we decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised! They have outdoor seating as well. The shrimp satay were delicious especially with the brown sweet sauce it came with. Both our drinks were super sweet but I liked it that way. The Thai iced coffee had a nice chocolate flavor to it too. The pad Thai was perfectly sweet and came with a lot of large shrimp. The panang curry was delicious too! I'm always surprised this place isn't standing-room-only, especially during softshell crab season. Those crabs in chili-basil sauce are to die for, and my friends and I are addicted to them. Other dishes, like Golden Green Beans, are also amazing. (I don't even like green beans except here.) Nothing fancy in decor, but the staff is lovely and the food is great. read more

Friendly neighborhood restaurant with great Thai food worthy of being a destination! We've been coming here for years for dine in and carryout and always have great meals. A few of our favorites dishes are the panang curry, the duck rolls, and the pad kee mao. The staff always recognize us and ask how our family is doing. I pass this place almost every day and finally stopped to try it last week, and I'm glad I did! I had the crispy basil beef and the spicy calamari. Bottom line up front: this was the best calamari I have EVER had. I've had tons and tons of calamari, and nothing even comes close. The spice level, the crispness, and the portion sizes were all *chef's kiss.* I also really enjoyed my Thai iced tea and crispy basil beef. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the beef was pretty salty, but still delicious. They were also very responsive and the service was super quick, especially for calling at 5 PM on a Friday. This will definitely be my new go-to Thai spot. read more

Not enough for one person. - Rice containers are tiny. Extra rice is $3 per small container - Automatically add a $5 tip to online orders. Terrible. If I could give a review in the negatives, I would. It took a while for our order to be taken while there was only 1 other table. On top of that, the food I ordered was not at all what they explained on the menu. Due to that, as well as it tasting bad, I sent it back. Time comes when the check comes, and it is still on our bill. No more than one small piece of chicken was missing (as it straight up just looked like porridge with "brown gravy" ((that's how they explain it on the menu)). Really wish I had read the reviews before having to deal with this place. ADDITIONALLY, after having this terrible experience, it took us an extra 30 minutes to even leave because the ladies working the front would not come out from the back to take our check. -10/10 read more

First time trying this place and thought the ambiance was quite nice. Menu also looked exciting, but I can't say the same on the quality of food. I'm a big lobster fan so was super excited to get the Pad Thai with the grilled lobster tail. When it came it had a bad seafood smell to it. It also taste HORRIBLE, rubbery tough texture without any fresh lobster taste. It was also not much meat in there by the time I was able to scrape it off the shell. I believe it was a frozen tail, because I had bought some frozen tails from Lidl just last week and they had the same tough texture and bad taste. I didn't ask about the price before ordering it because I wanted the lobster tail, but didn't expect an added frozen tail on some stir-fry noodles at a whopping $32. We also ordered the duck roll with the paratha wrap, which was too greasy without much duck meat in it, and it was also just two pieces at $12. I ordered Crispy chicken basil and was super disappointed with it. To start, it was $19. Next, there was very little chicken. It was mostly breading that was hard bc it was over cooked or something. My husband ordered Rama in Jacuzzi, which was $17. It was such a small portion, we were pretty surprised. Yum! Had the Crab Soup and Panang Chicken Curry. Thought the soup might have coconut, but it didn't. Just a sweet and sour broth with crab. Fresh and real, but not savory. The Panang was OMG so good. I really wanted to have leftovers but I couldn't make that happen. The kind of Curry that is not too thin not too thick. Loved it. And the the rice was glutinous and amazing! Let me start by saying that we had to wait for over an hour to get our order. We ordered pork pad thai and veggie drunken noodles. I understand it was a Friday night and it was crowded but that's just ridiculous and the waiter was not apologetic at all. I will, however, come back one more time because may be they were having an off night and hopefully I will have a better experience next time. I will def leave an updated review. Food was decent. Pasa Thai has decent Thai food. The Thai Iced Tea was good and not too expensive. The vegetable dumplings were also ok with a slightly spicy sauce. Naturally, I tried the Pad Thai for the main and it was a little on the spicy side and nothing too special. I was just not impressed with it and I have yet to find a Thai restaurant that beats Bangkok Bistro in Georgetown. I would only give it 2 stars, except a friend got the "Chicken Pineapple" but with fried tofu instead of chicken. This was actually really good! I don't even like tofu and it tasted amazing. I've only been here once but it was a yummy experience. I ordered the special which is Rockfish with spicy lime sauce ($22). I've been looking for a Thai place that has this dish, and it was absolutely delicious. It was a pretty large piece of Rockfish cooked perfectly with the sauce that had the right amount of spice. I take a photo of the crispy duck with the curry (separate container) and compare with an orange to show how small the portion is. I can not believe it when I open the box. This is my order out Thai place in the area. I order through door dash from them weekly. The food has always been great. I usually get the veggie fried rice with no egg and no broccoli. It comes with tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, snow peas, baby corn and scallions. It's not oily and not dry- they use just the right amount of oils and spices. The drunken noodles come with your choice of beef, chicken, pork or seafood. The summer rolls were ok. They were not stale but they were a little bit hard on the inside and a bit hard to chew. read more

I hate when some places give you a whole head of broccoli cut into just 4 pieces. -Crispy Duck Curry - Amazing flavor! Unlike the nearby Busara and Tara Thai, Pasa Thai doesn't feel like a chain. Maybe that's cause it isn't (I am not sure about those others-- but there is something about them that feels ultra-packaged). The decor personifies cool- from the breezy green walls to the shelves stained with dark wood. On the bar, there's a metal covering that has a diamond shape stamped on it. In nice weather, there's a small patio that you can dine on. My favorite dish here is the Siam beef. What makes it so deliciously tender is the fact that the meat is marinated for one to three days. I don't know what is in the marinade, but whatever it is gives the beef a perfect mix of a nutty and sweet/spicy taste. Whenever I come here, I tend to see families with their kids in tow. So, this is certainly a kid-friendly place. read more
