The owner, Rudy Hassid, is one of TWO flooring inspectors in Marin. He knows his stuff. Floortex is quality above and beyond the others!

Their interior design work was so tasteful and made such great use of color; it really appealed to us! We contacted them and soon had an initial phone call with the founder and CEO, Kassin Adelman. Soon after, everything started unfolding nicely. I think we contacted them in May last year and the project was 98% finished just before Thanksgiving. Blaire was assigned our project and we had the best time working with her. We wanted work done on the whole interior, except the kitchen and bathrooms. She asked us a lot of questions to get to know us and she and another staff member (Callie) took measurements (tons of measurements) to be used for CAD drawings. We had a few Zoom meetings where Blaire shared initial and then more developed designs with us. We received documents to approve purchases (that they handled). We used their recommended contractor (R5, Emerson Duque) for painting and lighting upgrades, fireplace remodel, new closet doors, etc. The contractor and his team were the best we've ever worked with. Blaire's designs were amazing. So beautiful and fun and unique to us. We are big fans of music and cycling and color and art. Blaire worked these themes into our home so beautifully! Her design and use of our art and photos was spectacular. We have to mention her emails- they were wonderful. So complete and full of ideas and options and explanations. And always kind and positive (and funny!). We went into the project a little unclear as to how much we would need to spend, and also unclear as to the scope of our project. We had an initial budget in mind but wound up going over. However, what we got was so worth it. We have no qualms whatsoever about increasing our budget to get such nice work done. Lara in purchasing was also amazing to work with. Just like Blaire- always helpful and cheerful and responsive. We are extremely happy we hired IDF Studio to turn our home into a space so unique and beautiful. 100% recommend.

I have specifically been working with Andrea, who has patiently answered a constant peppering of questions. The one question she didn't know the answer to offhand was thoroughly researched and followed up on. She also presented multiple options based on my room requirements in a custom PDF with photos, layouts, dimensions, fabric selections and prices in an easy to understand format -this is priceless in a world where too many choices can least to analysis paralysis. Regarding their products, they are one of the few companies that prioritize non-toxic and sustainable solutions. The furniture is built to last and very worth the investment. My only grievance is that I want it all and my small home won't allow me to!

I wish I got more updates during construction but they sent them whenever I asked. I liked that they were very contentious about talking with my neighbor when their van was blocking a little bit of their driveway--a lot of contractors wouldn't bother. I also had another neighbor who was causing some issues and they kept me in the loop, which I appreciated. - Price: I talked to several contractors and their price was pretty reasonable--not the lowest nor the highest, more in the middle. Cons: - After construction, I noticed some damage on parts that were supposed to be protected. They were minor damages, but annoying. The most noticeable one was a dent on my TV, which left a white dot that I see every time I turn on my TV, which sucks. - In terms of details, I noticed that there were some dings in pretty noticeable parts of the wood. I don't know if it was the crew or the wood came like that, but when I was testing a wood sample before purchasing, I hit the wood with a hammer and it didn't leave a mark, so it would take a lot of force to leave a dent like the one pictured. Kinda disappointing because the dent is smack in the middle of a high traffic area. Some last notes: - David came by to do a final walk through and helped me move some of the heavier furniture back. It didn't bother me but if you're expecting furniture to be put back the way it was originally, you'll want to manage your expectations. - You should definitely hire painters and cleaners after the construction--I didn't think the walls were going to be as scuffed up as they were. And everything will be superrrr dusty, even if it's covered. - When I expressed concern about not all baseboards being replaced, which I thought was the scope of work, he explained that he told his crew to use existing baseboards when possible. He said he did this to save me some cost and offered me $150 to cover the savings. I generally feel positive about this, although if I hadn't mentioned it I don't think it would've come up, so take that for what it's worth.
