I have no complaints with the quality of the carpet or LVT, but the stallation was very poor work…read more I've never seen anything like it. On the 1st day 2 men from Tim Hogan's showed up with boxes of LVT and carpet at approximately 8:30 am and left at approximately 1:30 pm. They installed LVT that 1st day without the recommended acclimation for 48 hrs. It went down where 2 different types of previous flooring was removed in the kitchen and dining room (carpet and roll linoleum). The kitchen still had big pieces of old linoleum the 2 installers couldn't get up. Instead of doing a skim coat to even up the floors, they just installed on top of the uneven subfloor. Walking on the floor now it's easy to feel uneven areas all over the kitchen/dining room and the LVT is already starting to buckle and squeak where the pieces are connected together. The 2nd day the same 2 men came and installed the carpet at approx. 8:30 am. Later that evening while checking all the floors, I found throughout the areas of new carpet where carpet meets up with threshold pieces there are rows of staples and tacks exposed pointing up that I stepped on and injured my feet several times. I contacted the store immediately the same day with serious concerns with the flooring installation. When I discussed this with the gen. mgr. in person he said I could take a hammer and pound the staples and tacks down. I'm not sure what he meant. They also said I could just cut off the rows of carpet threads where it was raveling out and to use "quarter round" to cover the jagged edges of the LVT flooring where it meets up to cabinets and the door leading to the deck. Its just a bit disappointing mess. I don't know what I'm going to do now as none of their solutions to these problems involved them.

I Do NOT Recommend Tim Hogan for Carpet!! I had a 900am…read moreappointment today. At 735am while I was in the shower the installer (Greg) called and left a message that he was on his way from the shop. "carpet for you I just let you know I'm leaving the shop here and heading your way thank you" Nothing to acknowledge, no request for a call back. Just letting me know he was on his way, which was over an hour early. Mtn Gas was working on our street but it was open to all traffic. I confirmed that with the on site supervisor. At 915am I called the salesman (John) at Tim Hogan. He said the installer had already come back to the shop, unloaded my carpet, and gone home for the day. He said the street was closed and he hadn't heard from me so he went home. The installation manager (David) called me and said we would have to schedule for another time. I expressed my feelings (yes anger) and told him that was unacceptable that Greg never called about the street nor did he ask Mtn Gas if he could come down the street. David said that Greg did call at 735 and I didn't answer or call back. There was no reason to call back. They said I was lucky that the installer even drove to my house since I didn't answer the phone at 735. I asked why he didn't call when he saw Mtn Gas working along the side of the street. They argued that he did call at 735 and this was just a snafu. Totally unacceptable business practice. They did get another crew from Clay. I will Never do business with Tim Hogan again. And you should think twice before buying carpet from them.
