I waited 30 minutes before calling to see if something had happened. He answered and said "Oh, what's your address, I can be there in 20 minutes." He arrived 30 minutes later and gave us the quote. He took his time and wrote out exactly what we needed. His quote was thorough and seemed reasonable. The reason for my 1-star rating is because when we were ready to schedule, we called and called and no one ever answered. My husband also tried and left messages that were never returned. I know they are a busy company, but it shouldn't be that hard to schedule once a quote has been provided. Perhaps Doug needs to hire a receptionist to help with phones. We ended up going with another company and I'm so glad we did. They did a wonderful job! They were also Yelp verified and backed by a $2,500 protection by Yelp. We chose a smaller company where we had direct access to the owner and communication was never a problem. The owner was also onsite every day of the job.

Front start to finish, Mike Gast and Juan Navarro worked with me to translate my vision into the bright open studio I have been dreaming of... As the project manager, Mike Gast was extremely patient and accommodating, and provided lots of feedback to solve various issues. This was a large project that involved removing the garage door, retrofitting 3 sets of doors, framing and finishing for a custom look, inside and out. They even installed special thresholds so we could be assured of being able to roll equipment in and out of the space easily. After each stage of the job, the crew cleaned up the area and removed all debris. The price quoted us initially was in line with competitors, better than several, who failed to follow up with us. There was no cost-creep, and we finished at the price quoted us. Progress and payment was tracked on their online job project site, which was an added benefit and inspired confidence. I can highly recommend Mastercraft and hope to use them in the near future for several other home improvement projects. About a year and a half ago, we got a quote for new windows from Renewal by Anderson and it was completely outrageous! The cost was way too high and the salesman was unprofessional. We ended up getting a quote from Andy's Glass last fall for significantly less money and with a better warranty! Obviously we went with Andy's and the windows were a huge update on our house. We are very happy with the look and quality! The most recent home update they completed for us was a new front door. I already knew exactly what I wanted and they were able to make it happen and again, for a great price! I appreciate that they never try to talk me into something else, they are always on time, and they are very communicative. Our friend Pablo says that J&W Lumber is the way Home Depot and Lowe's used to be. It's a real lumber yard. We were able to find things at J&W that are not even available anywhere else around Murrieta. We were assisted by Shawn, who was knowledgeable, courteous and on top of it all. Very pleased! .
